What to Know

Critics Consensus

Part loving homage to TV history, part off-kilter mystery, WandaVision is a wonderfully weird and strikingly bold step into the small screen for the MCU - and a perfect showcase for Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

Marvel is very limiting as a studio, but in the moments that they allow creators to do something even remotely creative, refreshing, and out of the box, it can make those properties really stand out—WandaVision is a prime example of that. Go to Full Review

Thrasher 1 @Thrasher121 Aug 19, 2026 While it does suffer from a convoluted plot at times, WandaVision is a delightful addition to the MCU, and one of their stronger TV shows. Elizabeth Olson shines as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, as we finally dive into her past, and exactly what happened to shape her into the woman she is today. Paul Bettany as always, has some of the most profound lines in the entire MCU, and his line "What is grief, if not love persevering?" Will stay with my until the end of time. Stellar watch, and a 10/10 show See more Nadia aqila P @Yayayya Aug 16, 2026 Wanda deserve better!!!! KEADILAN UNTUK MOMEEHH!!! It gave me Truman Show vibes. It was new and unexpected from an MCU show. But as it progressed, I began to see the "marvel" in the show. For starters, they made Wanda extremely annoying. I get she was in grief but I didn't feel any sympathy for her whatsoever. She was a liar and is tormenting the people and they want us to act like she's the victim? Then they introduced Agatha. It made my eyes roll. Wanda's magic was enough and they had to introduce a new twist nearing the end? The show was going well. They were trying to be creative and do something an MCU project has never done, but went right back to their origins near the end. Why couldn't they just live with an MCU show being a little different than the rest? So, it was overall a "good" show, it just was very hard to feel sympathy for Wanda and Agatha's twist was so irritatingly stupid. See more Andrew B @ABdestroyer233 Jul 18, 2026 This was a very good TV show, I am angry. I waited over five years to watch this. See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 15, 2026 Marvel at its absolute peak of creativity, audacity, and originality. The brilliant homage to the history of American sitcoms across the decades creates an intriguing mystery that completely escapes the saturated superhero formula. Elizabeth Olsen delivers a devastating and award-worthy performance, transforming the series into a profound, beautiful, and devastating study of grief, trauma, and the pain of loss. The ending falls a bit into the usual clichés of fighting with spells, but the emotional journey and the audacity of the production are brilliant and unforgettable. See more Read all reviews
