In "Welcome to Wrexham," Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds learn to run the third oldest professional football club in the world. In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the Red Dragons in the hopes of turning Wrexham AFC into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The worry? Rob and Ryan have no experience in football or working with each other. From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, the docuseries will track Rob and Ryan's crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.

The harsh reality is that real success will require new players, so if things go according to plan most of the ones we’re meeting now will get the flick. Viewers will share their hopes and their wariness. Go to Full Review

There’s perhaps too little varied material here to justify an 18-episode run, but the series offers a timely and refreshing look at football beyond the nauseatingly moneyed upper echelons. Go to Full Review

But the duo getting involved and learning the sport, as many audience members were doing the same, is very beneficial for newcomers wanting to understand football. Go to Full Review

haoming Z @usr_H.Z Sep 16 The takeover feels like reality show, a good perspective from the fans and their life, fun script. The result is unexpected, even though lots of money was spent; the 3 consecutive promotions didn’t come until a year later. Worth a watch while eating See more Worth N @WNorton Jun 17 A great way to learn more about football and Wales. Ryan and Rob make the story fun. See more Ed R @JustcallmeER 05/24/2025 Exploited celebrity docuseries that follows the real life struggles of the Welsh community and their Football Club. See more Bill D @RT22548397 07/12/2024 From the touching theme music and lyric "don't forget to sing when you win!" - it's a fascinating journey watching a down-in-the-mouth Welsh coal town be reinvigorated by a couple of wacky US actor/entrepreneurs. Touching characters and fascinating tale doesn't require soccer knowledge to appreciate it. It's a human interest story, so addictive that I can't wait for the next episodes! See more Christian C @RT01256797 06/22/2024 First watched as a fan of Ryan and Rob and was curious about the Wrexham story but absolutely fell in love with the series and now addicted. Everything about the series is brilliantly organised, its not just Hollywood glamour, the show also has a big heart. You can't help but get drawn into the stories of the Wrexham fans and local characters and their love of the club and their town. The chemistry between Ryan and Rob adds to the mix and what I love the most is how they've embraced Wrexham as a community. Definitely a must watch whether you're a football fan or not. By the end of a few episodes you'll be backing Wrexham all the way on their journey. See more Stephen S @Phenla 06/17/2024 This is the way to do it. Honest, warts and all. Enjoyable start to finish.
