The stakes... could not possibly be lower. That helps the half-hour episodes succeed on their own terms: as a slightly baggy but consistently delightful collection of bizarre humor, uproarious physical comedy, and outrageous performances.

First Day Of Camp is more than expository reenactment. It expands the world of Wet Hot American Summer to depict more of the world outside Camp Firewood, from nearby Waterville to the swanky digs of "evil" Camp Tiger Claw.

As a fan of the original film, I'm happy to say that First Day of Camp is plenty enjoyable and a worthy follow-up to a movie that has grown cultishly popular in the years since its release.
