The Season 14 premiere: A young woman meets her parents for lunch to let them know that she is engaged to a woman. Her parents voice their disapproval of her marrying a woman. Also: A teenage boy grabs his girlfriend forcefully in public, snatches her smartphone and tries to control what she's doing; a bus driver is at a bar drinking heavily, planning to go back to work straight from the bar to pick up students from a field trip.
Scenarios include grandparents berating their grandchildren; a restaurant customer complaining about a waitress helping a young man with Down Syndrome; and a woman insulting her bartender-boyfriend. Also: parents learn their daughter's boyfriend is Jewish; and a scam artist targets senior citizens.
A group of young black teenagers sit down for a meal at a restaurant and are asked to prepay for their meal; a lesbian couple tries to purchase a wedding cake at a bakery but is denied; a mother forces her child to shoplift; at a bookstore, a woman rips pages out of cookbooks; and young boys in a clothing store start picking on another boy for wearing worn shoes.

A white woman with an adopted black child is harassed; while at a clothing store, a woman is too distracted by her phone to notice that her children are out of control; a teacher's relationship with a student appears to be inappropriate; a young boy at a toy store wants a doll, but his mom thinks he should have a "boy's toy"; and a woman pushes her gifted son to be better on guitar.
