News & Interviews for White Lines: Season 1
This show tries to be silly in one scene and then covers a really serious murder investigation in another. As a result, it just feels jarring.
It settles down to half dirty-romcom, half panicked thriller, and somehow works on both stylish counts, with humour and bathos and bloodied boat hooks.
With its mixture of violence, broad farce, sentiment and soapboxing for the politics of dance, White Lines doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. It has its moments, though.
