A satire about struggling actors and the ludicrous Hollywood inequality they’re trying to get around doesn’t sound like a particularly original idea, but when you plug it into the dour world of Marvel superheroes it’s actually a welcome change of pace.

It’s a different kind of Marvel epic. Special effects take a backseat to laughs as Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley spoof egomaniac actors who learn it’s better to stop chasing fame and be in it for the love of the game.

Is there a larger implication here that Disney might benefit from making smaller, more personal stories instead of louder, emptier spectacles? Maybe. Is Wonder Man wonderful anyway? Absolutely.

Adorei o fato de ser uma história sobre um ator que busca sua carreira de ator enquanto possui superpoderes. Em vez de ser uma história genérica sobre a *profissão* de um super-herói. Uma lufada de ar fresco para a Marvel, para ser sincero.

This show is so bad. It's super cheesy. I typically don't mind slow shows when there's a payoff, but this show does not have one.

I am a big fan of Wonder Man in the comics and wanted to like this show but I could not. Despite a very entertaining performance by Sir Ben Kingsley, the plot is just too slow to develop. It is seven episodes about a struggling actor with no payoff until the last episode. That is the crux of the problem. I suppose if I lived in L.A. or worked in the entertainment business it might appeal to me a bit more. However, unless you are a struggling actor, this is six episodes too many of us seeing him deal with his troubled career choice.
