Critic Consensus: Work It is offensive not simply because it traffics in absurd and outmoded stereotypes, but because it brings nothing fresh or funny to the workplace comedy.

[Work It is] a retrograde shame-spiral of a series that hates women nearly as much as its viewers will hate themselves. But this detestable disasterpiece doesn't even have the courtesy to be interesting in its inanity.
Early word-of-mouth has it that ABC's new Work It isn't very good. Early word-of-mouth is right.
In addition to ethnic stereotyping there are cheap, lazily constructed jokes about women taking over the workforce resulting in a "mancession,'' the apparent indignity of a man grocery shopping for his family.
Work It is just about as subtle as you'd expect - a knuckle-dragging sitcom that parlays racial and gender stereotypes about as adroitly as a chimp parlays Chekhov.
Work It may prompt a grin or two with its initial sight gags. That's not nearly enough to hold this thing together, though. Toot toot tootsie goodbye.
