While the cartoon may not seem very sophisticated by today's standards, X-Men offers an entertaining introduction for young fans.

Audience Reviews for X-Men: Season 1

  • Jun 19, 2022
Felt like a comic series, as many shows continued the story. Many interesting characters, many with depth. Phoenix Saga is particularly memorable.
  • May 11, 2022
With a fleshed out cast of characters, compelling story arcs, thrilling action sequences, catchy-as-hell theme song and thought-provoking themes, X-Men: The Animated Series, alongside Batman, broke new ground for both action cartoons and superhero television in general...and shows that good writing can help overcome outdated, if decent for the time, animation.

Best First season of any animated show. PERIOD
  • Feb 08, 2020
Pure goodiness of late 80's to early 90's superhero animation, with all the traits of this era, especially big, big haistyles. If you can look past this dated aesthetic, compared to timeless Batman: The Animated Series, you're in for a ride you won't forget. If you grew up watching these cartoons, do yourself a favour and revisit them. Feeling old already?

With the excellent choice of voice cast and the excellent start of a sophisticated atmosphere, X-Men goes to the good old friendly superheroe group theme
