“Xo, Kitty” is entertaining and cute. Nobody asked for it — but at least it’s got some charm. Go to Full Review

The characters aren’t as lived in, the dialogue is frustratingly expositional, and our protagonist grates on everyone around her, including the audience. Go to Full Review

You can see Han laying the groundwork for a richer, denser season two. She's juggling a lot of balls here, enough soapy drama to keep any teen (or young at heart viewer) hooked. Go to Full Review

XO, Kitty has all the tropes to cater to the teenage crowd. But as someone who is well past her teenage years, I will not recommend the series to Netflix’s mature audience. Go to Full Review

Despite being a teen show, XO, Kitty offers an engaging and emotionally charged story. While it may not introduce entirely new concepts to its genre, the show's relatable characters and its vibrant South Korean setting make for a captivating watch. Go to Full Review

Of course, there seems every good reason to spend time with these well-dressed and extra-ordinarily well-behaved boys and girls as they go about their fairly picture perfect lives set to the correct bubblegum music. Go to Full Review

Asian American L @AsianAmericanFilmSociety Sep 26 Very unrealistic. Not as good as K-dramas, while trying to copy them. Jenny Han can't even speak Korean and is an unmarried unattractive middle-aged woman who doesn't seem to understand real romance. See more av 8 Aug 16 Cute, cringe and f**king crazy. Bad character arc, like who tf does this sh*t? Too many feelings, too much cheating, too much sh*t. Cute though. Nice friendships. See more Sissi K 01/31/2025 If it was possible to give 0 stars i would. Everything is … I have not words. And the audacity to have a second season. See more Isabella T 01/22/2025 The chemistry is definitely there, but the story feels a bit flat and doesn’t really captivate me. It lacks the excitement I was hoping for. See more Kotryna D 01/21/2025 Cheesy teen drama, I adore it to bits. See more Joy L 01/21/2025 It's either 1. They were way too confident with Korean culture Or 2. Had zero confidence so avoided anything about it. Trying to season 'Korean-ish' on top of the flat teen drama doesn't mean it becomes a K-drama. Especially when that Korean toppings are mostly wrong and unrealistic. Horrible, unknowledgeable, cringe, just wanted to 'abuse' Korean to make it look interesting while they never understood it. If you like cute teen dramas, enjoy it. But don't ever watch it merging with Korean culture, geography, people nor anything. See more Read all reviews
