01/05/2021 Only half way through this first season and already I'm exhausted, confused, and weary. It's sooooo long (25 episodes), with so many bad guys (crooked cops, obsessive Feds, rotten cartel bosses, maniacal killers) that it is not only hard to keep track of who is kidnapping, torturing, and killing whom but even why I should care. Plus midway through, the main guy's motivations are completely muddied; no idea why he is doing what he does. Maybe this all tightens up in the last stretch....but I doubt it. And probably (and thankfully) no second season either. The actor who plays the villain died of food poisoning last year and the actor who stars in the show is on house arrest in the US on manslaughter charges. Bit of a curse all the way around.
