Feb 21, 2023I thought the first episode was derivative but I'm glad I kept watching-- the remaining episodes had me absolutely captivated. I'm sure there was a lot of simplification and generalizing for the non-scientist (I am in that group) but it was still a beautiful exercise in exploring the potential of humanity. Unlike dystopian movies, there might be hope for us after all.

Jan 23, 2023I watched the first episode of Year Million. Amongst all the fear mongering that we have to accept that we will all become slaved to AI technology in the future, all I could think of was, "Just don't make AI that can teach itself. Shut off the technology now." As a result, I have decided to wean myself off of technology and enjoy life as it is meant to be seen - in the real world, and not through a device!

Mind-blowing, and I see there are many aspects of scientific development to be cautious about. The scary part is that it seems like a runaway train...
