At least it's starting to venture out a little further than it has before.

There's something deeply disconcerting about Kevin Costner's bloody and sometimes corny modern-day Western series... It really is a repellent little world that series creators Taylor Sheridan and John Linson attempt to pull us into.

Nov 13, 2019 | Full Review…

This week's episode of Yellowstone keeps things low-key, which is when Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone is at its best, eschewing the big over-the-top dramatics in favor of more nuanced character moments (save for Beth, who doesn't have a subtle gear).

It's as grand as Montana's wide and open plains, and as entertaining as any good old campfire tale.

Yellowstone seems content to take on the role of the cranky old man yelling at the coffee-swilling youngsters to cut their hair and get off his well-manicured lawn.

The premiere needs to pick up nearly every single thread and tug where it can in order to remind viewers who's doing what, where and why... With a show as jam-packed as this, it results in a rather slow, sometimes painful slog.

There were plenty of surprises from the premiere, and change aplenty.

Audience Reviews for Yellowstone: Season 2

I went to sleep in my chair the first 5 minutes of watching!

Really enjoying this show. Yes, a bit melodramtic - but sheer escapism and lovely scenery.
  • Jul 13, 2020
This show is not for the squeamish. Will be disturbing for many. Often violent and a lot of animal slaughter. I was waiting to see a note that no animal cruelty was used but they did not post anything. I found the story line about this very dysfunctional family to be very real and absorbing. The scenery is amazing. If you like a gritty western this is it. I liked it and will be watching S3.

Brilliant season cannot wait for season 3. Rip and Beth's Lovestory is beautiful.

the last season was great and this one hasn't lost anything. Can't stop watching it.
  • Jun 22, 2020
One of the best series on TV and one of the only series worth watching. I also like the fact that I am not being brainwashed with Political Correctness or the Alice in Wonderland Technique. It's actually like going back to normalcy. Thank you Paramount. Please make more shows like this.

This is the best TV series I've ever seen, period! Yes, there's violence and some profanity and a little bit of nudity, but all in all it is a fantastic series. Costner and the rest of the cast are outstanding and I am so looking forward to the season 3 premier tonight. A must watch, home run series!!!!

Super extraordinary! Beautiful. One of the best tv shows I've ever bought at Itunes (around 200). Perfect. My husband and I wish the seasons keep coming, coming!

Yet another great season! Just keeps getting better and better!

Writing had a lot of plot holes and some really big stretches that were just unbeliveable unlike season 1. But still really entertaining.
