Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner is the marquee attraction of the ensemble cast in this drama series, starring as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton's property is in constant conflict with those it borders -- an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.

In Yellowstone, the stakes are more existential. Go to Full Review

There's something deeply disconcerting about Kevin Costner's bloody and sometimes corny modern-day Western series... It really is a repellent little world that series creators Taylor Sheridan and John Linson attempt to pull us into. Go to Full Review

This week's episode of Yellowstone keeps things low-key, which is when Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone is at its best, eschewing the big over-the-top dramatics in favor of more nuanced character moments (save for Beth, who doesn't have a subtle gear). Go to Full Review

It's as grand as Montana's wide and open plains, and as entertaining as any good old campfire tale. Go to Full Review

Yellowstone seems content to take on the role of the cranky old man yelling at the coffee-swilling youngsters to cut their hair and get off his well-manicured lawn. Go to Full Review

Alaina F @Alainaefisher Dec 29 This is one of the cheesiest shows I have ever seen. The only thing they have going for them is the actors and actresses themselves. Other than that, the show itself is full of the corniest, most superficial material. I watched it fully to be able to give a fair review. It is truly a show that was disappointing. See more Slick R @SlickReviewer Nov 13 I'm not into cowboy and Indian shows or movies. I waited until there was nothing else to watch to start watching this series. There was so much hype surrounding this show I guess it would be hard to live up to it. Now that I've binged the first two seasons I can confirm that it is similar to "Dallas" from the 80's but rated R with lots of violence/murder, sex/nudity and cussing/fighting. Can you imagine if this show had none of that? It wouldn't be nearly as good as people think. But that's Taylor Sheridan for you... He casts only the hottest men and women and gets them to do nude scenes with lots of fighting and murder. I find it funny he cast Kelsey Chow(half white/half Chinese) as an American Indian but I guess most white people cannot tell the difference. I personally think Taylor Sheridan's other shows Landman and Mayor of Kingstown are better than Yellowstone... They aren't as slow and they have more action. Yellowstone is basically a rated R western/drama with one star, Kevin Costner... but Landman has Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Ali Larter, and(had) John Hamm and is much more funny and light hearted, with lots of drama. Mayor of Kingstown might have a lot of murder and violence but it's about a prison and it's in the Detroit area. In Yellowstone, all the murders and SWAT like cowboy raids in MONTANA is just ridiculous... See more Frans B @FransB Jun 18 Still going strong. Keeps getting better with the broadening of horizons. Story more intriguing and characters seems more colorful. Rip still takes no sh#t from nothing or nobody and Beth still on her own planet. John still has the reigns though, sort of. Lots of action, twists and all things cowboy. Love it See more Projects of the H Apr 7 Another great season of Yellowstone! I absolutely love this show! See more Nay N @Sliceoflife Mar 9 A little less boring than the first season but it's difficult to watch. Actually I think it would be better without Beth.
