Probably the weakest overall season for You're the Worst, as it's not quite as well-rounded, and also because this year deals with the breakup, so we don't see Jimmy and Gretchen together as much (face it, amidst the show's many merits, it's strongest has always been the chemistry that Aya Cash and Chris Geere have). Still, the laughs are big all season long, and it also gets progressively better. There's nothing here as impressive as the character-studies of previous seasons (i.e. Gretchen's depression or Edgar's PTSD), but there are still complex episodes, including a great standalone episode that features Zosia Mamet and ranks as a series best. A strong ending too, and next season appears ready to tackle yet another meaty topic: Engagement!
