What to Know

Critics Consensus

Continuing to peek through the satirical façade of socialite life, Your Friends & Neighbors' second season digs itself into a deeper and richer character hole, where Hamm, Munn, and Marsden make like bandits and steal the show.

Ashe is the kind of fresh juice a second season needs, even if it ultimately leads things to a preposterously far-fetched climax. Go to Full Review

Sometimes, it’s OK to enjoy things that are meant to be enjoyed. That’s what Coop’s doing, that’s what Jon Hamm is doing, and in Season 2, we can join them. Go to Full Review

In Season 2, “Your Friends & Neighbors” gets more textured, showcasing a different level of affluence, the costs of lies and why wealthy white men, in particular, constantly fail upward. Go to Full Review

Jon Hamm is still the engine that drives Your Friends and Neighbors, but the addition of James Marsden adds a new flavor to the series that makes it an exceptionally fun time. Go to Full Review

Rob L @Billy2542 2h Everything with Jon Hamm is good, the wife is a repugnant person and we're supposed to like her. Not only that, her entire storyline is boring. They should kill her off and get back to Hamm robbing houses. Marsden is awesome. See more Sharang L @Scribe187 3h Cooper and friends continue in their merry ways with even higher stakes this season. Marsden is a great addition to an already-brilliant cast. See more Robert S. @northern_newjersey_woods 1d Is 0 stars an option? Loved s1 S2 is terribad. No plot, barely any tension, and spoiler the most interesting addition to the group gets killed in the most stupid way imaginable. PS everyone is a night free diver in full clothes. The level of stupidity this season dropped to is unbelievably bad. S1: okay this seems fun it’s like the show billions mixed with modern family, sopranos, and the hangover. S2: what is even happening See more Adam T @RickBrewster 1d Season 2 filled with usual cliches to keep the show in a repeated loop forever - someone messes up, they try to cleanup, they mess it up even more but with a delay. On and on. And "seasonal" characters that will ultimately lose because their whole purpose is to keep the show going for another season. There is almost zero story there. It could develop in a nice adventure robber story with maybe some counterfeit art etc like in the old "the saint" series but it just goes the same road of deepening corruption of the characters that just end up in a deeper and deeper mess. Its every second show's plot or a replacement for a plot these days. See more Heidi L. @HLamancusa 1d The second season was a huge let down and I blame the writers……they could have done so much more with James Marsden’s character the lack of real back story for his character is just lazy…..there was also so much unimaginative drama that was unnecessary filler. I wish they had focused on what made the show a success in season one, but instead, they tried to mesh together a few “good” ideas and in the end the second season is just messy and unbelievable. I am fine with never watching season 3. See more Danica D @leavemealone296 1d How to make a story with no story last See more Read all reviews
