What to Know

Critics Consensus

Continuing to peek through the satirical façade of socialite life, Your Friends & Neighbors' second season digs itself into a deeper and richer character hole, where Hamm, Munn, and Marsden make like bandits and steal the show.

Ashe is the kind of fresh juice a second season needs, even if it ultimately leads things to a preposterously far-fetched climax. Go to Full Review

Sometimes, it’s OK to enjoy things that are meant to be enjoyed. That’s what Coop’s doing, that’s what Jon Hamm is doing, and in Season 2, we can join them. Go to Full Review

In Season 2, “Your Friends & Neighbors” gets more textured, showcasing a different level of affluence, the costs of lies and why wealthy white men, in particular, constantly fail upward. Go to Full Review

A pleasant surprise. It got far more fun, a lot more mature, and gifted its cast with better storylines and beats than it did in the first season. If you haven’t started watching Your Friends And neighbors yet, season 2 will make it worthwhile. Go to Full Review

As sharply written and acted, and as blindingly beautiful to behold as Season 1, Jonathan Tropper’s social satire is both massive and mellow Go to Full Review

It may all be grotesque and meaningless, but it’s also addictively comfortable. Go to Full Review

Vera P @Vera6789 Sep 4, 2026 I really wanted to like this season as much as the first one, but some of the storylines became completely ridiculous. The characters make decisions that just don't feel believable anymore. See more Ry N @RyGuy Sep 2, 2026 Coop gets Barney to start laundering money while being blackmailed by a new resident. A season about a criminal keeping his head down, pretty boring. See more Jason J @RT64116572 Aug 30, 2026 The first 8 episodes are very enjoyable. Stupid but enjoyable. The last 2 episodes are so so horrible they must have been written by AI. So so bad See more Vanessa C @7461cyan Aug 26, 2026 The storylines are laughably bad and completely unrealistic. Almost every decision made by a character on this show would never happen in reality. At least the first season was fun, but the second season has been a very hard watch. See more Ernestine S @Erne79900 Aug 2, 2026 Well, just binged through the second season and what a great show this is, I have a lot of time for Jon Hamm, especially in this but the cast are great in general and James Marsden bought a new element to this season See more Debora S @Debby8904 Jul 28, 2026 S01 was one of my favourite shows last year so it feels bad to report that S02 was a big let down. Things I enjoyed: the introduction of James Marsden and his fun character and John Hamm + Olivia Munn continue to bring the charm. Things I did not enjoy: legitimately everything else. Amanda Peet's storylines were just embarrassing (what was with her multiple shit related hijinks/shenans?), the plots involving any of the kids were lame, Lena Hall did her best as the struggling sister but her story was boring, Hamm's friend crew were super annoying and Aimee Carrero was very underused. Unfortunately S02 just wasn't good. See more Read all reviews
