What to Know

Critics Consensus

Bryan Cranston is powerful as yet another father with nothing to lose, but Your Honor too closely resembles other, better shows about good men doing bad things to warrant its relentlessly grim proceedings.

There are many dramas out there that are grim, but they usually have some sort of pay-off or have an addictive quality that keeps you glued. This drama didn't have that. Go to Full Review

Cranston is always watchable and brought some of Walter White's scorched earth intensity as Desiato's world started to crumble. But after one episode the jury is still out. Go to Full Review

It just feels false and, as it puts its characters mechanistically through the mill, excruciating to watch. Also, to add insult to injury, it is drenched in the sanctimoniousness and worthiness so common these days on TV. Go to Full Review

Per S Dec 25 Your Honor is far from perfect, but obviously underrated by the average RT critics and audience. However lack of realism, it's compelling and highly entertaining, with good acting performances, and somehow Bryan Cranston still manages to truly become a character. See more Ben N @Bneffer Oct 19 Entertaining, but took itself too seriously. Should have been a mini-series and focused more on the unique role of the characters and not veer into well trod territory. Still, overall a good tale of self sacrifice and selfish martyrdom. See more Iowa M Sep 18 It’s entertaining but completely unrealistic. It’s also set in the Hollywood universe where all white men are feckless and corrupt while all black women are strong, courageous and cagey. Not many shades of gray here. It would have been far more believable and true to life if the characters were a mixed bag rather than typecast as good/evil according to demographics. See more Dave C Sep 5 Starts off with a feel of something raw and exciting, with real potential, but soon becomes laboured and tired. Not the best casting choice for the lead role, imo See more A.L.Jude P @judebd Jul 27 Not convincing the happenings with the judge and the son. How come a crime boss overrule a judge in that proportion and the son makes so many blinders one after another when he is a college student with good background ? Even a coincidence billion to one possibility to hitch with sister he murdered ? See more Sydney W @CherryCokeIcee1 Jul 26 What’s with the low rating? This series is addicting and has great performances all around. Nothing too new for Bryan Cranston but he still delivers and you get to see how far he will go to protect his child, even though at times it backfires in himself and his son. Suspenseful with a heartbreaking ending, this is a winner. See more Read all reviews
