I was skeptical about a movie adaptation having read the book and given the relatively dry subject matter but I think they've done a reasonable job in producing a flick aimed for a general audience and not just baseball or stats nerds. However, I think Philip Seymour Hoffman is criminally underused in his role but I guess they couldn't stray too far from the facts of the story. 3/5
Such an intensive experience, and a movie that makes you think rather than force-feeding you the motifs. I notice a lot of people are disappointed at the ending but if you really put your mind to it, I think you will realise the message that the Coen brothers were trying to relay.
