masterful filmmaking in only it's best form. a journey through space and time while dropped against a 1950's tale of what shapes us and makes us
the film itself was actually well done. great direction, photography, pacing....but the plot turned out to be as empty and lame as it's dogma based concept. which really bugged me....because i really wanted to love this movie. the concept is awesome until you throw in the convenient hypocrisy of religion to fuel this film. i am not sold on emily blunt either.
might be my favorite film of the year. a tale of dumbfounded love and how resentment easily ruins it over the years. perfect illustration of how unfun acting like an "adult" is. though i don't think most viewers will get that out of this. gosling is amazing....though michelle williams is pretty much replaceable easily. still, they work well together. the banjo scene might be one of the best i've seen.
i am sure most ppl already know the story of this, but beyond that....this is just a really well put together film. danny boyle is easily top tier. great journey through the mind of james franco's character. must see.
wow. i guess i didn't really know what this this was about going into it, but the surprise of the plot just made it that much better. believed it or not it's a story about clones and the human emotions they possess. very endearing tale with miss mulligan once again proving she's is in an elite class of her own. one of the best films of the year.
