Typical Polanski movie...
Its MacGyver alright but not the one we know and love so much... no shoelaces or duct tape was harmed during the making of this movie... mores the pity lol
I read the book long before I knew a movie had been made, a fantastic read that translated well to the film. Again based on another true story it tells of a time in Northern Ireland which we should all learn about. Great cast, written and directed brilliantly, loved the book more but the film is great.
I had no idea what this movie was about when it popped through the letterbox, I think I only added it because of the name. It is subtitled and certainly worth a watch if your looking to braden your movie mind. An intriguing story with various twists, overall I enjoyed the film and after some intial misgivings settled into it and enjoyed it immencely.
Not a great movie, but I watched it anyway to get into the festive mood. The film itself had some nice ideas in it and its always unique to get a childs prospective o what they woud really like for xmas, but to make a show out if I dont think so, but like I say its something a bit different.
