This feels a little like "Un Feu Follet" or a Godard film for some reason. I found the narrative and experimental nature of this film very refreshing and the Frenchiness fascinating. The lead female was stupendous and turned a film of a typical nature into one that was wonderful to explore and splendid to view.
Pretty good sci-fi movie. Loved the thematic element at play but have some doubt with Vin Diesel on the poster, Radha Mitchell comes off as the main protagonist much more so, at least for me.
Poetic and sweet, a movie that takes a mundane event and puts it into perspective by displaying its wide-ranging incidents and effects. The movie really blends the subconscious well into this documentary, observational style almost. I was in quite a daze after watching this.
I have to say, this was rather badass, I mean, it was fun to watch and was done tight, with details as needed and the fundamentals taken care off and properly laid out. I loved the fight scenes and even the outrageous female army and the fact that it couldn't die even when multitudes of the male army were wiped out. A fun movie, but the fighting was exhilarating and you can see the influence it had on other kung fu films later on.
