Quantum of Solace

Not a patch on Casino Royale which is now personally the measuring stick for future Bond installments. Main Faults:
> The distinct lack of plot
> Forgettable Villain
> Pointless characters ( Yes Gemma Arterton i mean you)

At least the action set pieces are as accomplished as ever and Daniel Craig builds on the foundations he laid for his portrayal of Bond.

Overall, a just above-average instalment and not a a bad first delve into blockbuster fare for Marc Forster.

The Dark Knight

The Caped Crusader returns in the most hotly anticipated movie of the year. Here's my review:

> The action sequences really raise the bar and stakes compared to Begins and are much clearly made out thanks to improved editing.
> Much better all round performances. Most notable is newcomer Arron Eckhart as Two Face and of course Heath Ledger, in one word: MESMERISING.

> The plot twists and turns a little too quick at the end so became difficult to make out why people were double crossing. But of course with repeated viewings, this will be resolved.

OVERALL: If you thought BEGINS was the pinnacle of comicbook movies, The Dark Knight tears the rulebook right up and delivers one of the best slices of summer entertainment in years. A damn near MASTERCLASS!!!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

After a nearly two decades hiatus, the arehaeologist we all know and love is back. The Verdict:

GOOD: The action is still as spectacular as it was in the other installments.
Also a truly killer cast.

BAD: Shame that the supporting cast is so underused and one dimensional bar Shia Laboeuf who is great as Indys sidekick.
The CGI at times is pretty dreadful.
Why did Lucas and Spielberg turn it into ALIEN??

OVERALL: Despite some major flaws in character development and the plot in general, Ford's comeback still retains the elements that made us love the character in the first place. Worth A Watch!!

Sex and the City

The worldwide institution for women returns. Heres my Verdict:
GOOD: Still as witty as it was a few years ago.
Alot of moments which i felt resonated as poignant and heartfelt, most notably the ending which i won't give away.

BAD: 2 hrs and 20 Mins long, says it all really.
Some of the jokes were a tad repetitive e.g. Samanthas randy dog.
Was some of the scenes really necessary (Fashion Week Anyone??)

Overall: Tons better than i was expecting and if you're a fan of the show, you're guranteed to love it!!
