Movie Ratings and Reviews

The In-Laws
The In-Laws(1979)

Hilarious movie. So absurd. Love it!

Alice in Wonderland

I liked it! It had everything to be amazing -- Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Danny Elfman -- but it was more ok. I loved the girl power ending. Anne Hathaway was just...weird. Did not enjoy her character. Helena Bonham Carter, however, was awesome as the Queen of Hearts.

Time Bandits
Time Bandits(1981)
½

BIZARRE. But not necessarily in a a bad way.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Even if it hadn't had the graphic novel to live up to I would still consider it all around blandly mediocre. It tried too hard.

The Book of Eli

Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman were spectacular in this. However, this is really, REALLY not my type of movie. I enjoyed it as much as possible for me.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
½

Is it bizarre? Yes. Is it a wee bit disjointed? Yes. Is it amazing? Yes. You definitely have to be in the correct mood for this movie.

Sydney White
Sydney White(2007)

I actually enjoyed this movie. It was what it was and it was fine with that. And so was I. Plus Neil from Freaks and Geeks was in it. =)

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

I love Wes Anderson's films (at least all the ones I've seen) ad this one is no exception. It's slow and odd but tells an engaging story.

The Day After Tomorrow

Not really my kind of movie but it was okay. Even with Dennis Quaid.

Sherlock Holmes
½

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie, being always a little wary of taking classic characters in a "new direction." But I was not disappointed. It was fun -- far cry from the "traditional" Holmes but still very entertaining. They drew on and expanded details (Irene Adler from "Scandal in Bohemia" and Holmes' room from "The Musgrave Ritual" for example) to create a Sherlock perhaps better suited for today's taste and box office. Only irritation was that violin -- if you weren't going to let him play it correctly, give him a ukulele!

Avatar
Avatar(2009)
½

It was long but well-paced so it didn't seem too long. It was pretty amazing, very imaginative and thought out. It was like Pocahontas meets the Matrix.

Batman Forever

It was alright. Liked the first two better.

Tootsie
Tootsie(1982)
½

Dustin Hoffman is amazing as a man and a woman.

Waiting for Guffman

So, so good! HILARIOUS.

Son of Rambow

2 little British boys making a rambo tribute movie? Very nice. Reminded me of Millions.

Atonement
Atonement(2007)
½

Hm. Not what I was expecting but that's fortunate because I wasn't expecting anything this good. This movie is done very well -- the MUSIC is fantastic.

The Blind Side

It was always about a step away from a Hallmark movie. It wanted to make you cry, it knew just what cards to play. That being said, the story is remarkable but parts of it didn't sit well with me. Maybe I need to see it again.

Little Miss Sunshine

I love every moment of this movie. If ever I need to see a good movie, this is the one I turn to. The cinematography, the script, the acting. It's all so good.

Let the Right One In
½

A Swedish vampire movie? This was too good to pass up. In a genre not particularly known for subtlety and finesse, this one was downright classy! They didn't tell you everything, choosing instead to let you draw some of your own conclusions. Can't say I'll watch it again but I don't regret the one time! Appreciated them sticking to actual Vampire lore. *cough*stephaniemyer*cough*

Sixteen Candles
½

Not my favorite John Hughes movie but it was good!

Watchmen
Watchmen(2009)
½

After reading the book I was very intrigued by how they would translate it to a movie. They did it -- and well! They had to cut out some plot lines and alter some others for time and ... clearness's... sake but it retained it's integrity. It's a deep story and the fact that they could tell basically the same story without all it's layers was amazing. It's also cast remarkably well. The actors all LOOK like the characters -- they don't just dress like them. It was a movie of the graphic novel, not one simply inspired by.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Bad! Bad movie! Bad, bad movie! I mean, yes, I enjoyed it but only because it was so bad. Laughably bad.

Where the Wild Things Are
½

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Amazing elaboration of the book. It captures what it feels like to be nine and living in a place that's changing and confusing. All around well made and captivating.

Bridget Jones's Diary

Amusing and all...but nothing too spectacular.

Julie & Julia
½

A quiet, very likeable movie!

The Brothers Bloom

Keeps you thinking the whole time -- is this real of a con? Well done. Very enjoyable.

He's Just Not That Into You

Better than I thought it was going to be. I liked the story between the Mac guy and the girl and Drew Barrymore's little side story.

Coraline
Coraline(2009)

Great animation and story! Neil Gaiman has such a talent for creating stories.

Last Chance Harvey

Big let down. I love Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman so I was really excited to see it. They were great but the story just sorta sat there and didn't go anywhere. Nothing here (besides Thompson & Hoffman's performances) you couldn't catch in a different movie.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

So SO good. Love everything about this movie.

Groundhog Day
½

A classic, of course.

Swing Kids
Swing Kids(1993)

Booooring. Maybe the genius of it was lost on me.

The Neverending Story
½

Wow. I think I had a dream like this once after eating some possible expired yogurt.

Twilight
Twilight(2008)

An overall poor book adaptation. Edward's voice was über annoying. Speak clearly, dear boy. No need to mumble.

Funny People
Funny People(2009)

I didn't hate it. I liked the story but the humor was hardly my taste. LOVED the drums/soundtrack.

With Honors
With Honors(1994)
½

Bah-ha! Oh, Brendan Fraser...

Ghost Town
Ghost Town(2008)
½

A good time if not a bit cliche at times. Think the Sixth Sense only happy. The sound track sounded like my Pandora station.

500 Days of Summer

Spectacular! A story about love...not a love story.

Say Anything...

It was okay. Rather reminded me of a F. Scott Fitzgerald short story I read one time.

Henry Poole Is Here
½

I liked it! It was much deeper than I thought it was going to be.

Get Smart
Get Smart(2008)

Nice tribute to the orginal.

Transformers
Transformers(2007)
½

Ya know, this movie was pretty entertaining! Not deep by any means & a little cookie cutterish (geeky guy gets gorgeous girl, really? How original.) but good mindless fun.

Born Into Brothels

Very moving, hopeful, and human look at the effects of extreme poverty. Reminded me that there is so much more we could be doing.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)

Faaairly entertaining. Once was probably enough for me.

The Pianist
The Pianist(2002)

Wow. Stunning. And heartbreaking.

The Proposal
The Proposal(2009)
½

Entertaining enough.

The Science of Sleep

Sorta weird. Didn't really care for it. Which is sad because I LOVED Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Snow Cake
Snow Cake(2006)

I think it would have been more impressive if I had paid more attention. It was pretty good, though.

For Your Consideration
½

Very much like "Waiting for Guffman" but in my opinion notas funny.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

On par with the first one. Not much plot but very entertaining. Bill Hader as Custer was my favorite.

Star Trek
Star Trek(2009)

Very good. Very, very good.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Oh my gosh. Didn't think I would like it as much as I did. So good.

Smoke Signals
½

Interesting look at Native Americans and what issues they are facing.

Johnny Dangerously

Rather random but rather funny!

William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Little long...but okay. Loved the costumes.

Legends of the Fall
½

Think I need to watch this one again as much of it was lost on me.

The City of Lost Children (La Cité des Enfants Perdus)
½

Makes basically no sense...but that's ok!

Garden State
Garden State(2004)

Mmhmm. Good movie.

The Darjeeling Limited

Aw! I liked it! The beginning short was a a little sketch... I loved how the luggage became a character of its own. Oh, Wes Anderson.

Slumdog Millionaire

This is one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen.

Les Miserables
½

Meeeh. Could have been better...though Geoffrey Rush was amazing!

Bride Wars
Bride Wars(2009)

I had pretty low expectations for this movie...it did not live up to them. I didn't hate it, it was just rather "blah."

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Bah-HA! Hilarious! Loved it! Only thing I would have changed was Kirstie Alley's accent. Oi.

Rear Window
Rear Window(1998)

Come on...really?

Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia!(2008)
½

A fun & silly bit of cinematic fluff. It had some really weird casting (mainly Pierce Brosnan) that didn't help the movie any. The music was good though.

Yes Man
Yes Man(2008)
½

It was amusing though it seemed to think that the answer to living a fulfilled life was no (or very little) restraint.

God Grew Tired Of Us

Puts quite a few things in perspective.

Babylon A.D.
Babylon A.D.(2008)

Meeh. Entertaining enough I guess.

Babette's Feast (Babettes Gæstebud)
½

I went into this knowing I was supposed to like and be impressed by this movie. I'm sure with subsequent viewings I'll discover the genius but as of now it's just a good movie that I enjoyed.

Never Been Kissed

I'm a little embarrassed about how much I enjoyed this movie.

Burn After Reading
½

Actually surprised by how much I liked it! This is what happens when you think the world revolves around you.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
½

Bloody, yes...good example of a graceless world consumed by revenge, yes.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Loved it but I think I need to see it again.

Failure to Launch

Pretty average. Nothing too ground breaking here.

The Wedding Date

I watched it on tv...and missed about 20 minutes in the middle. It seemed fairly predictable.

Jumanji
Jumanji(1995)

Elephants crushing cars, Robin Williams...more elephants.

Pride and Prejudice

Very nice adaptation. But A&E is still king.

The Truman Show
½

Wow. I think I need to see this one again.

Napoleon Dynamite

Haven't watched this movie for a while now...but some thing of it still resonates deeply with me.

Fargo
Fargo(1996)

I'll be honest: My sense of humor isn't quite dark enough yet for me to be able to say I completely enjoyed this movie.

Raising Arizona
½

Mmhmm. Good stuff.

Barton Fink
Barton Fink(1991)

OH! I thought I had it! I was so sure I understood...until that last two minutes. Then I realized I hadn't understood the entire movie.

Meet the Robinsons

Hey, you know, this was a very entertaining movie! Clever to boot.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year
½

HSM is in a league of it's own. Cliche yes, predicable, OH yes, a little out of touch with reality (i.e. Garbriella's wardrobe being termed "girl next door) uh-huh, but that's why we love it! It's "camp" at it's finest.

Pride
Pride(2007)
½

A good movie about detirmination and um...pride. I appreciated the community development aspect.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Well, um. Wasn't really my idea to watch it.

Be Kind Rewind

Ok, so it stars Jack Black and Mos Def. Keep that in mind. I really liked it. It had a simple and innocent message.

Bella (Beauty)

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Makes you love humanity.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Well, the ending was pretty bizarre and the beginning rather perplexing. This lead me to assume I didn't get it.

The Fall
The Fall(2006)

Beautiful locations and costumes. I liked it. A lot.

Cabaret
Cabaret(1972)

Music was kinda annoying...Liza was kinda annoying...but it was a very interesting look at pre-Nazi Germany.

WALL-E
WALL-E(2008)
½

It was pretty good, but I didn't think it was Pixar's best. Loved their use of Hello Dolly!

Penelope
Penelope(2006)

Whimsical! Loved it.

The Dark Knight

Did not disappoint. Heath Ledger's Joker was brilliantly terrifying.

Thoroughly Modern Millie
½

*Meh* Kinda silly, kinda long. The one song I like from the musical was not in the movie. But really, what do you expect from a 60's musical? Not much.

Once
Once(2007)

Great music.

Equilibrium
Equilibrium(2002)

Wow. Really, really good.

Run Lola Run
Run Lola Run(1999)

Interestingly put together. I love movies with different outcomes.

Dragonheart
Dragonheart(1996)

Oh! beautiful. Just beautiful. So cheesy and predictable -- loved it!

The Incredible Hulk
½

So completely better than the first one. Better casting, better plot, better effects, better editing. Just better.

Reign of Fire

You get to the end and then you realize how mediocre this movie was. Thin plot high on cheese. But very entertaining all the same.

The New World

Umm...random phrases and images spun together. I think the highlight was definitely seeing the actor that played Bernard in Stardust.

Oliver!
Oliver!(1968)
½

Just fast forward whenever things start to lag.

Across the Universe
½

Love the Beatles so have to love this movie a little bit.

Definitely, Maybe

One of thw sorriest excuses for a movie I've seen in my recent history. The story was incredibly stupid. Blee-ak! So bad! Please don't ever make me watch this movie again.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

A few too many epic dance numbers. Hugh Jackman is a great Curly!

Mansfield Park

I liked it enough considering this was also my least favorite Jane Austen novel. This Fanny Price, although enjoyable, is nothing like the book Fanny.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Basically loved this movie. It recognizes where it came from and where it is.

The Wild
The Wild(2006)
½

If you're seen Finding Nemo or Madegascar...you've seen this movie.

Under the Same Moon

Oooh! I loved how the movie ended, not the plot ending but the actual way the movie finished. The ending of the story was pretty inevitable. Very sweet, the little boy is adorable.

3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)

Wow. Really liked this movie. Still thinking about that ending.

The Island
The Island(2005)

Interesting...
Sean Bean was in it!

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
½

So good! A lot deeper than I thought it would be.

The Sting
The Sting(1973)

So good, so very, very good. Robert Redford is adorable in this movie.

She's the Man
½

A few laughs, a few groans. Over all entertaining and light.

Dan in Real Life

Aw! Surprisingly good! A bit like The Family Stone only without all the yelling and disfunction.

Hercules
Hercules(1997)

A very un-Disneylike Disney movie, in my opinion.

Martian Child

Very sweet and quirky! I liked it a lot.

Zathura
Zathura(2005)
½

Very imaginative! The astronaut was my personal favorite.

David Copperfield

I love all things David Copperfield. All things. A very nice adaptation.

Bonnie and Clyde
½

Entertaining, well made. Good time all around

Becoming Jane

Very pretty movie. I'm sure it's rather fictional but oh well. The fact that James McAvoy was in it helped.

Marnie
Marnie(1964)

Weird. No other reaction. Weird.

Jesus Camp
Jesus Camp(2006)
½

Oh, Jesus Camp. Obviously and overly edited but very interesting.

Juno
Juno(2007)

Seriously do not know what I think about this movie. At all.

Conspiracy Theory

So good! You just have to watch it. "Why is this safe for me and not the keys?"

Jumper
Jumper(2008)
½

All the teleporting scenes (especially the battle scenes) were great but whenever it tried to get "sentimental" (aka, Christiensen tired to act) it fell really flat.

Nanny McPhee
Nanny McPhee(2006)
½

Emma Thompson is amazing! A great movie!

The Holiday
The Holiday(2006)
½

Um....Okay. Didn't really care for the Cameron Diaz-Jude Law plot line but I loved the Kate Winslet-Jack Black plot line. It was overall so-so.

Amazing Grace
½

It was pretty good though a little confusing at times.

The Golden Compass

Hard book to make into a movie but they did a pretty good job with it. Nicole Kidman is an amazing Mrs. Coulter! Sadly, the ending was no good. None at all.

August Rush
August Rush(2007)

Tons better than I thought it would be! Very charming.

Superman Returns
½

Follows in the tradition of the Reeves movies. The "new" Superman does a great job copying Reeve but makes it his own too. Spacey was an excellent Lex, too. He understood the role. =) Not quite enough saving the world business but I guess that's okay. Was hoping for a cameo from Margot Kidder or Gene Hackman but alas! None.

Sweet Land
Sweet Land(2006)
½

So pretty! A lovely story.

Enchanted
Enchanted(2007)

Oh! I say, good fun! James Marsden is my hero. Always sing and be silly!

Howl's Moving Castle

I think I could watch this again and again...

Casino Royale

Daniel Craig may be blonde...but he's still a very good Bond!

I Am Sam
I Am Sam(2001)

Rather sentimental. Plays on your emotions more than anything. Interesting editing.

Batman Returns

Superheroes...Tim Burton...Danny Elfman... yes, please.

Homeward Bound - The Incredible Journey

Oh my goodness. Movie of my childhood.

Galaxy Quest
Galaxy Quest(1999)

Peter Pan
Peter Pan(2003)
½

Oooh! Good fun and lots of cute little boys!

Batman
Batman(1989)
½

Jack Nicholson is a mad genius in this thing.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
½

Probably my favorite Harry Potter movie so far!

Music and Lyrics
½

Surprisingly I liked it! Helped that I like pop songs. I loved the dialogue! All 'round very funny!

Hairspray
Hairspray(2007)

Good morning, Baltimore! This movie's A-MAZ-ING. Great music and likable cast! But it is a musical, whenever the plot lags they just sing a song. Good message too, "Big, Blonde and Beautiful" indeed!

Cool Runnings

How can you not love this movie? Ya mon.

Rabbit-Proof Fence
½

Interesting movie, fairly well-made.

The Family Stone

Very stressful. I could see some of myself in the Meredith character and probably because of that found the family unnecessarily beastly. I was expecting it to be more of a comedy. A few good laughs but more stress than anything.

The Muppet Movie
½

Lots of puns, cheesy songs, and cameos. Sounds like a good time to me!

The Bourne Ultimatum
½

A magnificent and fitting end. the "shaky/documentary style" camera work wasn't doing it for me however.

Metropolis
Metropolis(1927)

Very intriguing... worth a viewing.

Eragon
Eragon(2006)

Ugh. What a bad book adaptation. I think the people that wrote the screenplay skimmed the book and just threw the events together and hoped for the best. And they added plenty of "Hollywood Babble" to top it off. (you know "you saved my life, you gave me purpose, you completed me, etc")
The "evil" people were so laughably cartoonish. I adverted my eyes out of embarrassment rather than fear.
And then, my biggest complaint. They basically ignored my favorite character/plot line: Murtagh! He just kinda shows up, exudes Val Kilmer from Willow, and leaves. The elf girl takes over his role at parts. I was waiting for Saphira to break into "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" We get it.
I did rather like their portrayal of Brom; in the book he seemed too much like Dumbledore from Harry Potter.
I was also very distracted by the fact that Eragon looked a lot like Mark Hamill. "Eragon, I am your dragon..."

Chicken Little
½

very cute but rather average.

Evan Almighty

I really enjoyed this movie! I don't think it was as bad as critcs say it was.

Ratatouille
Ratatouille(2007)

Amazing animations, cute fluffy plot. An overall very entertaining movie.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

The plot isn't overly original but very entertaining anyways. If you enjoy old movies with gadgets and "futuristic" technology you might enjoy this one.

The Queen
The Queen(2006)

Amazing. Simply amazing. Helen Mirren and Michael Sheen are spectacular.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Creative, morbid, soul-searching. Loved it!

Quiz Show
Quiz Show(1994)

Great movie! Keeps you hooked the entire way through because you want to know what the characters are going to do, what their next move will be. At least I did. Great performances from the actors, also.

The Princess Bride

Tried and true favorite movie. So witty!

One Night With the King

Where to start. Biggest letdown: It take's Esther's beautiful story and waters it down to a cheap love story. Other letdowns: a mind-numbingly slow pace, complicated subplots, and far too many discussions of ancient Persian politics. It seemed as if even the movie didn't know where it was going. And what was up with Haman? Yikes. That all I got to say about this movie: Yikes.

Happily N'ever After

It tried to be Shrek but it didn't work out for it.

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita è bella)

It's fitting that 'beautiful' is in this film's title because it is beautiful. Heart-wrenchingly bittersweet and beautiful. And on top of that you get to listen to the actors speak gorgeous Italian!

The Count of Monte Cristo

There is a point where a "few minor plot changes" becomes "an entirely different plot." This book's plot is too complex to fit into a 2 hour movie without losing its genius.

Citizen Kane
Citizen Kane(1941)
½

Great movie! Loved the lighting and camera angles. Good stuff.

Shrek the Third

I loved it! I thought it was hilarious.

Three
Three(2007)
½

Entertaining and exciting without blood and gore. Doesn't watch/flow like a blockbuster. Very worthwhile!

Blast From the Past

Light. Fluffy. Frivolous. 90's.

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

I must tell the truth: it made me laugh on several occasions. Steve Carrell and the anchorman rumble were hilarious.

V for Vendetta

I liked it. Very much 1984. Loved all the allusions, Guy Fawks day, The Count of Monte Cristo...

Bend It like Beckham

Honestly, it was a little long and at moments melodramatic. But it was also British and Bollywood so it's all good.

Mars Attacks!
½

Brilliant. So Brilliantly random. The end with Tom Jones and the hawk = comic gold.

Sword of Sherwood Forest

It was the 60's. They had trouble with movies like this. You get to the end and you think to yourself "Did I zone out? Or was there really no plot?"

Robin Hood
Robin Hood(1991)
½

A mediocre Robin Hood tale. The Normans had the most irritating French accents I think I have ever heard and Marian was once again also irritating. Irritating movie all around.

The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio
½

Creative and original but also one of those "come on already! get it through your skull!" movies.

Into the Woods

The line "You can talk to birds?" & the song "Agony" were my favorites.

Road to Perdition

Paul Newman was in it...only good thing. Other than that: EVERYONE GOT SHOT. end of story.

Millions
Millions(2005)
½

Very charming! The plot lost some coherence near the end. It had a fairly good theme but a sadly superficial view of good deeds.

Les Miserables - The Dream Cast in Concert

It isn't really a movie. But it was good. Do YOU hear the people sing?

Marie Antoinette
½

A very peculiar movie and an intriguing (accurate? who's to say.) look at the French Revolution. Be warned: Very, VERY slow.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

A very entertaining plot with some exceptionally memorable lines. It neatly tied up some characters and set others up for a potential fourth movie. Nicely done, chaps.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

Manly men...in tights. Silly but still very funny. "Because unlike other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." ouch...

To Kill A Mockingbird

Gregory Peck is Atticus Finch. A good adaptation but of course the book is better.

Kicking & Screaming

REALLY silly but it had a lot of heart. Kids' sports should never be about winning. If you find Will Ferrell annoying you will probably hate this movie.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Were all the British male actors employed at the time? Watch it BEFORE Men in Tights. It might be more enjoyable.

Hulk
Hulk(2003)
½

Really didn't like the cinematography or editing. They were both really distracting. It was sadly unsatisfying. Comic book movies don't always need to be good but they should be satisfying.

Facing the Giants

Amazing considering what they had to work with but the ending was too happy. Also thought it was too focused on the coach, I think it would have been good if it had branched out a little bit.

Jonah - A VeggieTales Movie
½

Very cute but they should maybe stick to the half hour format. Best line: "...but I am okay with that now."

The Royal Tenenbaums
½

Very interesting...I liked it!

Inside Man
Inside Man(2006)
½

Highly entertaining and very clever! All around satisfying. I love the Bollywood song they play at the beginning.

Spider-Man 3

One of the first "grown up" movies I remember seeing. I still like it.

Burnt by the Sun
½

interesting, tragic. it's Russian.

Fallen
Fallen(1997)
½

It was very interesting but I found the ending rather cheap.

10 Things I Hate About You

Ahhh. The 90's. That about says it all.

Robin and the Seven Hoods

A little long and a little goofy. Typical Rat Pack movie I guess.

Bowfinger
Bowfinger(1999)
½

Great, innovative plot! I love Steve Martin's scripts.

Robin Hood
Robin Hood(1973)

Hands down my favorite Disney movie. Hands down.

Batman: The Movie

Holy Flixster comment box, Batman! So silly, it's amazing!

The Prestige
The Prestige(2006)
½

Brilliant plot twist. But it was a little long at times

What's Eating Gilbert Grape
½

DiCaprio was great in this movie, really and truly. It had a very touching plot.

The Illusionist

L-O-V-E-D it!! It was such a gorgeous movie.

Secondhand Lions
½

Sweet and quirky! Loved the ending.

Bells Are Ringing
½

Very cute, some of the songs were a little long but it's Judy Holliday & Dean Martin!

Wait Until Dark
½

I love Alan Arkin.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Favorite Indiana Jones movie. Amazing.

Hell in the Pacific

Very artistically done. Not a satisfying ending but they made the movie to make a point not make the audience happy.

Enemy Mine
Enemy Mine(1985)
½

By far the weirdest movie I've ever seen. It was the "He/She" alien and Dennis Quaid that creeped me out.

Rope
Rope(1948)

Playfully morbid.

The Wind and the Lion
½

Meh. I don't know. It was a little silly.

Shakespeare in Love
½

I don't think it was actually about Shakespeare really. And I also don't think Romeo & Juliet is the end all of romance.

Willow
Willow(1988)

Pretty much the most awesome movie ever.

Troy
Troy(2004)

Kinda like a 50's b-movie but with good special effects.

The Devil Wears Prada
½

Great movie! Meryl Streep is superb!

Three Amigos!
½

so cheesy! it's great.

Monster House
½

The little boys are awesome! They're the reason I liked it.

Freedom Writers

Surprisingly good. It had a good message.

Lady in the Water
½

Very interesting characters. Not quite sure what I thought about it yet.

The Italian Job

Like most movies of its kind. It had a good pace and minicoopers so I liked it well enough.

Timeline
Timeline(2003)

Very mediocre. Gerard Butler's character was likable enough but Paul Walker's character was pointless and had me wondering on several occasions "what exactly are you doing in this movie?" Towards the end the movie got so long - enough epic battle scenes! The sad thing is this movie had a lot of potential but they need character that were less generic (the handome guy, the girl, etc.) .

Wallace & Gromit in Three Amazing Adventures

Brilliant! They gave me this strange urge to eat cheese...

Clue
Clue(1985)
½

So witty! Made me want to play the game again! The third ending is my favorite. "I'm going home to sleep with my wife." tee hee!

Dirty Dancing

it has a lot of dancing...and some of it is dirty. I think some parts of it had a pretty good message. Other parts weren't so good.

Superman II
Superman II(1981)
½

The part where he reversed the earth was so touching.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

More like The Quest for One More Sequel. Watch it. Mock it. Love it. I heart Christopher Reeve.

Superman III
Superman III(1983)

O! the mockability!

Little Shop of Horrors

So, I basically watched this for the songs. Because I love the music. Steve Martin's dentist song was genius and pretty much the truth. hate going to the dentist...

Step Up
Step Up(2006)
