World War Z

I'm not really a fan of Horror films, let alone Zombie movies for that matter, so I went into this one with really low expectations. As the film began, I was already expecting to be bored out of my mind with another zombie kills humans horror flick! But as the movie progressed, I found myself becoming more and more engrossed in the captivating story and thrilling action sequences that, at times, I was literally on the edge-of-my-seat anticipating the next suspenseful scene! This is a definite must see, even for those who are not a fan of the horror genre, as the story alone will be enough to captivate audiences.

Silver Linings Playbook

An excellent story with a lot of great talent, this is surely one not to be missed! Superb performances from the leads Cooper and Lawrence, who are surrounded by a tremendously gifted supporting cast led by De Niro. Bradley Cooper portrays the troubled Pat Solatano so perfectly that it has the viewer wanting to follow him on his journey every step of the way. Add to that a spectacular and very well choreographed dance number at the climax of the film makes for a touching and heart-warming must see film!

Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3 (2013)

This was in my opinion the best of the Iron Man movies as not only did it have a lot more action than its predecessors, but it also had a more comedic scenes and a more solid story than the previous two films. Once again, RDJ turns in a flawless performance as Tony Stark along with great performances from the supporting cast. Definitely one of the must see films of 2013!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

I thought this one was definitely better than the first one! For one thing, it has Dwayne Johnson taking over the lead role and you can't go wrong with "The Rock" in any action film! They were also able to incorporate a lot of new characters into the explosive action scenes throughout. The highlight for me was the action sequence on the mountain top, which was one of the BEST fight scenes I have ever seen, which was made even better in stunning IMAX 3D! This is one not to be missed by true action fans and a must see for anyone who grew up with this series! A great start thus far to this year's summer blockbuster race!

The Expendables 2

½

Definitely not as good as the first one but it still manages to be a thrilling action ride, nonetheless! I would have enjoyed this one a lot more if Jet Li would have had more screen time but since he was only in the first five minutes of this one, it takes away some of the quick, hand to hand combat that made the first one so enjoyable. They did manage to make up for this by making the film more interesting with the addition of a female to the Expendables team, which gives it a fresher feel.
