Movie Ratings and Reviews

that was v. v. good

Death Note (Desu n˘to) (TV SHOW)

That was super cheesey...but not entirely unenjoyable. They changed some of the plot from the manga/anime, but that's to be expected.

Knocked Up
Knocked Up(2007)

Not as good as I was expecting but it was funny and cute.

This is amazo. I guess I was destined to love it though seeing as how I adore 1) musicals and 2) newsies

I laughed at the most inappropriate time. I loved it.

The Orphanage

shiiiiiiit that was scary. Only movie besides the Shining to scare me. I had to turn on a light D:

Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield

They certainly took liberties with the truth...

ehhhh it wasn't bad per se, but I had a hard time getting into it

King Kong
King Kong(2005)

Aw man, poor Kong :< I knew it was gonna end that way but it still broke my heart.

The Golden Compass

It was good, but I must confess I was expecting/wanting more Daniel Craig.

FINALLY. A Disney non-Pixar CGI that was not only good, but great!

Private Resort

Rob Morrow was adorably nerdy in it, but that's about as good as it gets. Lame story, very little Depp, and waaaay too many boobies.

Thank You for Smoking

It was pretty funny, not something I'd buy though.

Meet Bill
Meet Bill(2008)

I thought it was really cute. I also recognized a bunch of gifs in this movie that I've seen around and it was nice to finally know where they came from x)

Prom Night
Prom Night(2008)

I rented it for Kellan Lutz, but he wasn't in it very much. Still good though.

Two Girls and a Guy

I made it about 15 minutes in and couldn't take it anymore. The two girls' acting was so painfully horrible, and I usually don't notice that kind of thing. I wanted to watch it so bad for RDJ but I just couldn't. Yuck.

The Hitcher
The Hitcher(2007)

It was ridiculous, but I don't care; it was fun (and had Sean Bean).

Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus

I would have enjoyed it more if they didn't whisper all the time. I had the volume maxed out and still couldn't hear them so I had to use subtitles!

Only You
Only You(1994)

It was cute, I liked it.

American Psycho

omg the raincoat dance! I laughed so hard. This movie was great.

Oh gosh, this movie was wonderful in so many ways. Serial killers are so interesting.

Tropic Thunder

RDJ and Stiller were so great in this. And omg Cruise's character was A-mazing. It restored my faith in that crazy Scientologist x)

Silent Hill
Silent Hill(2006)

Needs moar Sean Bean.

Chances Are
Chances Are(1989)

That ending: LOL WHUT.

In Dreams
In Dreams(1999)

I feel like I shouldn't have liked it, but I couldn't help it. The apple/sink scene was pretty ghey, but once RDJ actually showed up anything wrong with the film was forgiven.

I'm...not really sure what to even say about it.

12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men)

I understand why it's a classic, but I found it boring.

No Country for Old Men

I don't think I'll ever understand why so many people think this movie is amazing.

Nim's Island
Nim's Island(2008)

Cute kids movie, but didn't really do much for me.

Blade Runner
Blade Runner(1982)

I got 30 minutes into and then turned it off cuz it was so boring.

Back to School

It really wasn't all that funny :\

The Singing Detective

It was boring and the lip-synching for the songs didn't even look semi-realistic. I was disappointed :(

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Not as good as the first two, but I loved it.

The Dark Knight

It wasn't quite as good as I was expecting, but Heath Ledger did an amazing job and I still loved the movie!

Charlie Bartlett

The bully and the principal were my favorites x)

It was...different than I was expecting. But the action was cool.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

I hated that ending, but the rest was pretty good. Sam is better than Frodo though.

Bratz: The Movie

This was only good for the few lulz it provided.

Vanilla Sky
Vanilla Sky(2001)

I think my favorite part was Kurt Russell x)

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

This movie basically confirmed for me that RDJ is an AMAZING actor and incredibly funny. I highly recommend this flick!

The Scorpion King

It was cheesy, but I liked it x)

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Awesome awesome awesome. I love the Indy series so much, and this certainly didn't disappoint. Some people will probably have issues with parts of it, but if they read up on Mayans a bit they'll see that this definitely works.

Be Kind Rewind

Cute film, but nothing special. The best parts are when you see scenes of the remakes they created.

The Punisher
The Punisher(2004)

Awesome action, and I really liked his apartment friends, they were adorably loyal to him.

A History of Violence

This movie could have been so good, but it completely failed IMHO. Heck, I even thought that Viggo Mortensen was semi-attractive before this....not anymore. And wtf was up with that staircase scene? Choke your upset wife, she slaps you, you trip her up the stairs.....then you have jacked-up steamy almost-rape sex? I DON'T GET IT.

Someone Like You

Pretty cute movie, but nothing to shout about.

The Freshman
The Freshman(1990)

daww Marlon Brando. Gotta love him.

Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko(2001)

I don't even know what to say about it. I didn't like it really, but I didn't dislike it either. Frank was sufficiently creepy though and I enjoyed that.

Devil May Cry

I had high hopes for this one but it's actually pretty boring.

Meh. Brad Pitt's fight scenes were cool but the rest was boring.

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Book 3

I'm not sure why this is listed on flixster, but whatever, I love it!

The Mummy
The Mummy(1999)

I could watch this movie 80 million times in a row and not get tired of it.

Get Smart
Get Smart(2008)

Steve Carell is a big reason I love this movie, very funny!

The early commercials made me feel iffy about this...silly me.

Stranger Than Fiction

I loved Will Ferrell in this, it was interesting seeing him do something other than a straight comedy.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

They got back to what made Indy great...Nazis! And Sean Connery was freakin' adorable in a stuffy old man kinda way x)

Raiders of the Lost Ark

This movie was wonderful, I loved it! Harrison Ford was spectacular, but as if that wasn't good enough they give us exploding Nazi heads! Amazing? I believe so.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

That was, um, super cheesy. And that girl was practically too dim to exist. But Indiana Jones is hot/adorable so the movie was still kinda good.

The Pursuit of Happyness

A stunning film, Will Smith and his son did an incredible job. If you can't stand to face the reality of how horrible some people have it though you should stay clear of this. But really, it's an amazing and inspiring film.

Who knew robots could be so adorable?

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

"Freakin' amazing" sums it up nicely.

Kung Fu Panda

Oh Jack Black, you are a hilarious man.

There Will Be Blood

I love Daniel Day-Lewis's voice. GUH.

Shoot 'Em Up
Shoot 'Em Up(2007)

That was pretty much horrible.

X (X: Their Destiny Was Foreordained 1999)

Yet again, I love the story and the characters, but the animation's not very good.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Naturally, my favorite character died. God dammit.

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!

Katie is so creepy/hilarious. Definitely my fave character!

3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)

Ben Wade is so freakin' awesome.

This movie was wonderful and amazing on so many levels. I can't wait for the DVD.

I Am Legend
I Am Legend(2007)

If you don't cry at least once during this movie you have no heart.

wow....I don't even know what to say...

Romeo and Juliet: Sealed With a Kiss

The approach to R&J was pretty cute, Mercutio was my fave even if he did tell a bunch of god-awful jokes. I was blown away though when I found out that one guy animated the WHOLE thing! Amazing! That guy must have a ton of patience.

Michael Moore makes learning fun!

Love Actually

Very sweet movie, kinda sad at times though.

Amazing Screw-On Head

Interesting animation and very funny.

True Grit
True Grit(1969)

That girl was so annoying.

Pretty good movie, the graphics were amazing. I was only disappointed that there wasn't more action. There was quite a bit, but I was expecting an epic amount.

Giselle and Edward are so stupidly cute, I love it! The movie was hilarious and clever, the actors were great and perfectly cast for their roles. And the animated parts? Absolutely amazing, I loved every second of it!

The Quickie
The Quickie(2001)

I rented it for Joel Heyman (his role as the bartender/butler was PIVOTAL to the story srsly....I <3 Joel), but I really did like the story anyway. Oleg was freakin' adorable.

Another Gerard movie, another fangirl squeel-athon.

Miss Potter
Miss Potter(2007)

Ewan's stache was EPIC.

The Island
The Island(2005)

Kuh-razy! And very, very cool.

Little Voice
Little Voice(1998)

That was, um, interesting? At least Billy and LV were cute together x)

Richard Gere had the best songs.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro totally stole the show, but I love 'em so it's all good =D

The Simpsons Movie

America's most dysfunctional family now has a movie! Can life get any better? I submit that it cannot!

101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure

I'm willing to accept that my crying at a part in this movie does make me a loser.

Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure

It's been a while since I saw it, but I remember it being decent.

Meet the Robinsons

The "villain" was my fave but the whole movie is great

Believe in Me

Sports movies = great. Jeffrey Donovan = great. Sports movie + Jeffrey Donvan = OMG YAY!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

omg so much win! I just wish that the final battle had taken, like, an hour all by itself xD Voldypoo v. DD = freakin' awesome!

The Cherry Orchard

I still can't get over the fact that they credited Gerry as "Gerald Butler"

Cabin Fever
Cabin Fever(2002)

rofl at pancakes, otherwise pretty sucky

I want my own Bumblebee!

The Company
The Company(2003)

This is pretty much just a bunch of footage of ballets with bits of movie lazily spliced inbetween. The only reason I made it past the 10 minute mark was because of the promise of James Franco, but not even he can make this movie tolerable.

I lurve Peace, he's a sweetheart.

High School Musical

Kinda cheesy but, oh my God, I love it so much.

Endearing story and loveable characters.

The Mighty Ducks

Yeah, I still love this movie.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

Very cool, I think Sinbad may have influenced some of my art =\

Rudy is and always will be a loser.

The King and I

There were a few humorous moments, but for the most part I hated it.

Sense and Sensibility

Margaret Dashwood was probably the coolest kid her age 200 years ago.

School of Rock

Jack Black, Joan Cusack, and Sarah Silverman in a movie together? Hooray!

Battle Royale II

Sequels can be long as they don't come from Japan.

Moon Child
Moon Child(2004)

Battle Royale

Such a guilty pleasure.

The Jungle Book 2

I mainly liked it for Haley Joel Osment's voice.

Mansfield Park

I don't care what anybody says, Mr. Crawford is made of win and Fanny's an idiot.

The Lion King

Greatest movie ever; an incredible milestone in animation and cinema in general. If it were up to me it would receive an Oscar every year.

Meeko is made of adorable, but it tried to be waaaay too deep. I still have a hard time believing that this movie got Disney's "A" team and Lion King was the smaller production because, well, Lion King totally dominates this movie. Mufasa is pretty much an automatic win.

The Last Unicorn

I loathe that style of animation, and the story was meh.

Leroy & Stitch

If you're gonna make a crappy sequel (or two) at least have the decency to animate it well!

Brother Bear 2

Patrick Dempsey as a bear? Heck yeah!

The Lake House

Trying to figure out the consequences for fiddling with the past made my brain explode.

Casino Royale

It's a Bond movie that even I liked! That's flippin' amazing!

The Other Sister

Interesting and sweet.

Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch

Surprisingly good for a sequel. Incredibly cute and very funny.

It was pretty good, but I could not get over how boring the lead lady's face was at first just cuz she never smiled.

The Swan Princess

It was cute enough, but kinda dumb.

Home on the Range

It was cute and Buck the horse is made of awesome pie.

Mulan II
Mulan II(2003)

S'okay, nothing too special.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)

Beowulf & Grendel
½ was okay I guess. Atilla was better.

Dracula 2000
Dracula 2000(2000)

Wow...sorry, Gerry, but this one kinda sucked alot. And Dr. Foreman was destracting xP

X2: X-Men United

Hooray for sequels! Hugh Jackman is still hot.

Hugh Jackman makes Wolverine's stupid hair cut really sexy.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Just can't get enough Hugh Jackman!

The Black Cauldron

I dunno...I liked it, I guess...but I don't think I'd wanna watch it again. I do love Gergi though! ...or however his name is spelled

Pretty cute, but nothing to get excited over.

Joseph: King of Dreams

When it first started I was thinking it wouldn't be very good, but by the end I loved it!

My roomie and I sing the songs as we walk around campus xD

Robin Hood
Robin Hood(1973)

Hooray for Disney!

Fainaru fantajţ X (Final Fantasy X)

Another good'n....but it's not a movie =\

Final Fantasy X-2

Umm...I love this but I thought it was a video game. Oh well. Still rocks.

FernGully - The Last Rainforest

Ferngully, raising childrens awareness of global warming before Al Gore.

It was adorable...I think Ewan McGregor helped with that.

Dead Poets Society

This movie is spectacular!

Fantabulous! I loved Attila's manliness and that one red-headed chickee was cool.

Le match de leur vie

Hot, sweaty, muddy Gerry. Can life get any better?

It was kinda cute (I adore the bumble bee!) but it seemed kinda dumb at times (seasons last for, like, 8 minutes!).

Gorgeous animation, touching story.

Titan A.E.
Titan A.E.(2000)

Really cool, but that one chick alien's legs freaked me the hell out.

Quest For Camelot

The story was pretty good, but the character designs were *yawn* boring. And omg the blind dude would break out into song at the most random times. I think I like the bad guy and the griffin the best.

Wonderful! Yay! Demitri = hawt! Yay!

I did like the story quite a lot, but something about how the people were designed threw me off.

The Road to El Dorado

Miguel and Tulio are instant love!

Captain Ron
Captain Ron(1992)

Who wouldn't love Kurt Russell as a one-eyed semi-lecherous captain?

Jerry Maguire

The adorable kid was the best thing in this movie.

The Iron Giant

Absolutely amazing movie. I always cry at the end.

The Craft
The Craft(1996)

I loooooove this movie!

The Producers

Really fun but it seemed to go on forever.

Peter Pan
Peter Pan(2003)

Simply amazing. Jason Isaacs, Jeremy Sumpter, and Rachel Hurd-Wood did a wonderful job!

Hannibal Rising

Really good movie, but it was somewhat spoiled for me because I had a bunch of morons chatting it up around me. Gar, I hate people who talk during movies!!

Discovering the Real World of Harry Potter

It didn't seem very well put together and all the swooping camera movement made me want to throw up. But Hugh Laurie narrarated it so that made everything better!

Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy

Brick was my favorite...other than him the movie was "eh"

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

I mainly just hated how the one brother kept picking at his head with a clothes hanger and eating the dead skin. Grody. I heart the semi-crazy Texas cop though, he was cool.

A hot guy can make almost any movie good.

Annabelle's Wish

Really good kid film, saw it when I was little, but it'd probably be boring now.

Ed Wood
Ed Wood(1994)

Poor Eddy...I wish he wouldn't have been such a bad director.

Treasure Planet

Pretty good, I'm just glad it wasn't all computer animated...I loathe computer animated movies.

It was pretty good, Emma's so f'ing weird and I heart that "Maybe John told him not to marry her! I love John! Or maybe he told him to marry her...I hate John!" Ewan's hair left much to be desired but oh well.

Underworld: Evolution

Not great, but not bad. Plus Michael was in it...w/o pants.

To Live (Huo zhe)

We're watching it in EAS and it's freakin' awesome.

The Emperor and the Assassin (Jing Ke ci Qin Wang)

omg Jing Ke was a jinglly assassin of fabulousness!!!

Such a sweet innocent movie, ya gotta love it.

Whisper of the Heart (Mimi wo sumaseba) (If You Listen Closely)

I liked the love story but it took too long to get there.

Edward Scissorhands

Edward is so sweet and adorable!

The Cat Returns

Completely charming.

Benny & Joon
Benny & Joon(1993)

Raisins are humiliated grapes.

Sleepy Hollow

Johnny Depp as Ichabod was adorable! He was funny and sweet. I also liked how the movie wasn't trying to be real frightening or gross. Luvs it!

Reefer Madness

Funny and a musical so I love it.

Superman Returns

Really good super hero flick. I like Superman better as Clark Kent with the glasses and everything, just seemed more adorable.

Bride and Prejudice

Cute adaption of Pride and Prejudice. I love the singing too, even though you can tell it's not their real singing voices. I love musicals!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Oh my freaking God! This movie was absolutely amazing! Great action, really funny, good story, and an ending that'll make you go *gasp*! Can't wait for the third one!

Really great plot, makes you wonder if he really is Don Juan.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Alan Rickman makes a brilliant manically depressed robot.

Amanda Bynes is really funny and Colin Firth is as fabulous as always. I love the whole "Yankee throwing the Brits for a loop" thing it had going.

The Witches
The Witches(1990)

Roald Dahl pwns all.

Bless the Child

I really liked this one. Saw it at a church thing. Yay!

I wish I had liked it more but it didn't hold my attention very well. It did do a nice job of getting you to empathize with the killers though.

Spice World
Spice World(1998)

It was like they took the movie "A Hard Day's Night" and totally f***ed it up.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

A great movie. Randie and the Chief were my faves. Jack Nicholson is such a superb actor!

Fahrenheit 9/11

Holy poo, that Michael Moore sure is good!

Yet another great documentary by Micahel Moore.

Bowling for Columbine

Michael Moore is one of the few humans who can make a documentary interesting.

Something's Gotta Give

Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton make such a wonderfully dysfunctional couple.

The Fox and the Hound

Such a good Disney movie. I always cry when I watch it though.

Pride and Prejudice

Really great cast (especially Colin Firth!) and the location was outstanding. Any Jane Austen and/or Colin Firth fan should see it.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Probably my least fave of the HP movies which is a shame since it's the one that introduces Sirius. The mere fact that it's a Harry Potter movie guaranteed it high marks though.

Totally lame. Band kids made us watch it on the bus ride to Virginia. It put the "whore" in horrible.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter! Harry Potter! Hooray!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Best HP movie so far. Ralph Fiennes makes a wicked Voldypoo!

Quigley Down Under

Tom Selleck shot Alan Rickman! You can't do that!

The Count of Monte Cristo

This movie is the worst adaption of a book in the history of man kind. It was like they raped Dumas's intellect with a filthy elephant tusk. Poor, poor Dumas...

A Clockwork Orange

It would never end!! Molly and I were up 'til 4 a.m. going "wait! I think he's dead! ...No...he's still alive...dammit..."

"Squeal like a pig!" Oh my traumatizing but such a very good movie.

Book of Shadows - Blair Witch 2

I only saw this for Jeffrey Donovan...

I remember liking it back in the day..and that's about all I remember. Didn't Costner have gills or something?

White Noise
White Noise(2005)

Would've been better if they had just stuck with the whole "oooh this could be true and that makes it creepy" story, but they went off on some crazy li'l tangent and they lost me.

Stylized violence is good in small doses...this had a li'l too much for my taste but was otherwise good.

Garden State
Garden State(2004)

Zach Braff is adorable.

Must Love Dogs

Fairly good romantic comedy. Diane Lane is really funny and John Cusack is charming enough, but it could've been better.

The Ref

About a Boy(2002)

Oh, Hugh're so charmingly befuddled...

The Princess Bride

I finally saw this and it was awesome! Cary Elwes is really cool and Inigo Montoya and Andre the Giant were hilarious too.

Kate & Leopold

Hugh Jackman is so charming...he should teach other guys how to be like him. Meg Ryan was really good too, but, well, Hugh Jackman was what did it for me.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

So f'ing funny, although it tore my heart out at times when Mark and Bridget were fighting. I know, I know...I'm a sap...

Bridget Jones's Diary

Renee Zellweger is hilarious as Bridget! Like always, Hugh Grant is funny and Colin Firth maintains his Darcy-esque sexiness.

LÚon: The Professional

Jean Reno is the coolest french man ever. Closely followed by Janet Reno.

Pride and Prejudice

Keira Knightley pwns and Matthew MacFadyen makes a super hot Mr. Darcy. Good stuff all around.
