I caught this a couple of times on SyFy and had to get it when I saw it today at Wal-Mart for 7.50. It's a very refreshing, original vampire film about a lonely shlub who captures one and keeps her in his basement (reminds me of the zombie novel I've actually been writing a little at a time). He doesn't want to kill her but can't seem to satisfy her needs, and naturally, he's falling in love with her. It stars Young Indiana Jones himself, Sean Patrick Flannery, and while it has that direct to video look about it, it is much better than direct to video usually is. Decent writing, great acting and a story that is easy to get caught up in. I really enjoy this one!

Fantastic film. Very creepy, suspenseful, and atmospheric. Keeps you guessing. I didn't think the twist ending was THAT shocking or original, but probably the best I've seen that twist done so far. Very good stuff.

Alice in Wonderland

I saw this today and LOVED it! It's actually a sequel to the already well-known story, but it does capture a lot of the magic of the original and is just a fun fantasy from beginning to end. The lead actress is well-cast (granted, I picture Alice as looking a lot more like Elisabeth Harnois, who I practically worship, but still), and everyone was fantastic. I still find 3D in movie theaters underwhelming (maybe at an IMAX it would be much better), but the movie itself, LOVED IT. And though I came in during the trailers, I saw two I badly wanted to see, and they were phenomenal! TRON Legacy and Toy Story 3. I'm so psyched for those! TRON Legacy had some awesome throwbacks to the original! Cool to see that Boxleitner came back for it too!
