Clash of the Titans

Nicely done but I was brought up on the Harry Hamlin version. It's good but it's missing that certain element of whimsy.

I expected more...way more.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

In a moment of madness I decided to watch this. It is inoffensive, mildy humourous, not too violent. In fact this is a film on how to be average and inoffensive...it's so average, that no matter the big names it has in it, they are forgettable. Zeus has a Yorkshire accent compliments of the ever redeemable Sean Bean, Uma Thurman regraces us with Poison Ivy oh sorry Medusa.
It needed edgier actors, edgier something thatn the grey pile of forgetfulness I watched. Such a shame.

Throw away my brains and just watch. Action in your face.

Whilst this is a reall cutie...a little young for me.

The Lion King

It's the Lion King what's not to like?

Pretty good, though it is a film you can't jump in half way through and pick up the story...all in all a story, with a believable plot.

Time Bomb
Time Bomb(2006)

David Arquette managed within 5 mins to having me begging for someone to blow him up. As an actor he needs to stick to comedy, leave the emotions for those with talent. An over done plot line that has had better versions.

Predator 2
Predator 2(1990)

Not the original, but it holds it own.

Blades of Glory

Whilst having moments of sheer brillance, the film was cheesy and rather boring. I have seen much better.

Intense, typical military film...pretty cool action though.

Hard Candy
Hard Candy(2006)

What an odd, strange did I mention odd film. It leaves you feeling rather sick and yet I couldn't stop watching this. All within the realm of possibility...sometimes you should be careful who you invite to your home.

Somehow I found myself relating to the Nutty Professor, this may have it's moments of humour and cuteness. For the most part I found myself in the urge of wanting to spew...it may have been the tuna...

The Green Mile

One of the most thought provoking films you can watch. Sad, beautiful, excellent film and book, a true credit to Stephen King,

We are not talking the most amazing movie however, it's got an easy to follow story and the action is kinda cool. I feel it could have been stronger.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Took me back to the myth and fantasy films of the 80's, a sweet tale of good beating evil. Ending was a little sucky though.

The Lake House

A beautiful story of how true love can be claimed if you fight hard enough for it and never give up. Wip out your hankies.

Picnic at Hanging Rock

Filled with haunting music, this is more a story of what could have happened, than what did happen. Haunting, beautiful and tragic. It has stayed with me ever since I caught it on TV.

Better than the 1st but it had a bigger budget...still fell short in my eyes. But not a bad movie. Average.

In Her Shoes(2005)

It's an average girly movie, nothing special, you may even drool. Sweet but a bit bland.

The Sweetest Thing

Loved it from start to finish. Funny, too funny and dirty and sick. A chick flick the boys won't mind.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Who needs drugs watching this. Depp does it again, slips into the role and drags you through one of the most twisted minds to grace the 20th century. Bat country baby...

The 'Burbs
The 'Burbs(1989)

You have to watch it to love it. Funny, corny and twisted. You'll never look at a green sky the same again. Brill!

I'm weak but I just love this film, it's stupid, pointless, little to zero storyline. In fact it's a happy for your brain without drugs.

I, Robot
I, Robot(2004)

Is meant to be part of a trilogy and to be honest no wonder they didn't bother with the other 2 parts. Weaker than the novel. Will Smith is good as ever but this could have been so much stronger. Weak Attempt.

Dog Soldiers(2002)

Violent, bloody and dark. The brits do well on the ethos.

A dark and twisted tale of playing with death. A classic and must for any serious film buff.

Teen Wolf
Teen Wolf(1985)

Horror nah more comedy. Fox is cute but has about as much grr as a mouse.

Dracula 2000
Dracula 2000(2000)

After a recent re-watching figured that Carpenter had given the old tale a nice twist. Johnny Lee Miller is wasted in his role and simply lacks anything that makes you give a damn about him. Gerard Butler oozes sensuality and old world power as Dracula. A good choice. Cheesy at times with the hissing brides but overall a good movie.

Dark and twsited thriller. Good one for the collection.

Darkness Falls

Darkness brings a whole new fright. Nice one.

Eight Legged Freaks

I loved it. Hokey, amusing, as cheesy as stilton. Run faster little human I can jump really high.

Once you got past the gory first part, this was pretty good.

Watched it, was bored by it. When this was originally in the cinema, they had people standing by to give first aid to people watching it. Vomiting, fainting you name it...they actually did it watching this.

The Haunted Mansion

Amusing in parts and that's about it.

Dark Water
Dark Water(2005)

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Friday the 13th

Err well...never really liked this film or any of it's sequels. No biggie plenty do.

The Lost Boys

Classic, awesome soundtrack. Rock and fangs meets geeks and weird grandfathers. Untouchable in it's genre.

I love the original. It's what horror movies are all about.

What Lies Beneath

Really enjoyed this film. Nothing much esle to say.

The Others
The Others(2001)

Pretty good film with an interesting storyline. I figure it could have been better but it was already pretty good anyway. It could have done without Ms Kidman though.

Kinda tame but a classic.

Bride of Chucky

Shoot me if I ever watch this garbage again! Damn ugly, freaky dolls and their damn ugly freaky dolls bride. Yikes.

I have seen this film soo many times it's stupid. I kinda like it. Arnie, some big greasy mercs and one ugly alien warrior. Throw in blood, guts and a whole lotta mud and you've got this film. Simple.

The Amityville Horror

Not really impressed with this one. The originals are much more creepy. In fact the the whole house is just plain whah.

Yeah. Not the original but still hell yeah and bring me more. They still give me the creeps. In my eyes one of the best alien movies ever.

Dawn of the Dead

Isn't this genre getting old yet. I never did like this set of films. The blokes love em...me I think I'll skip.

28 Days Later

Cillian Murphy wakes up with a half shaved head, no clothes and a bit on the skinny side. That was cool. Blood puking RAGE wannabees...skip...nearly lost my dinner on that. Other than that what a boring film. Yawn.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse

You've played the game in the dark. Your addicted to kicking zombie ass. Of course you watched the 1st and of course you've watched this one too. A bare bones script and lots of violence and groaning and more violence. Who cares. Simple is often best.

The Blair Witch Project

The best thing about this film was when it finished. Literally the last 10 mins were the best.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Cheesy and soo funnt that it's awful. People this is meant to be a HORROR film...yeah right it's a comedy. Blah.

The Exorcist
The Exorcist(1973)

This isn't scary, there again i saw a spoof version first so that helped. All in all a good idea and mainly based on truth but not scary.

Another comic book remake. The film makes the comic look like garbage. I love this film and as per usual Keanu rocks. Hell even the Devil seemed cool.

Final Destination 2

How can't you like this, left me with a serious fear of lifts and glass...lol. Good sequel.

Scream 3
Scream 3(2000)

Who cares if it's bad and hokey...it's just so bad it's good.

The Grudge
The Grudge(2004)

The Japanese are masters of creepy horror films and the Americans should stop ruining them. What should have been creepy and dark, with you clutching a cushion in fear. Instead, ended up so sweet that it was ruined. It has it's moments but not enough to make a film.

I Know What You Did Last Summer

Hollywood had a binge of badness and yet I quite like it. Sigh, taste out of the window and smile when the pretty people get butchered. Amusing.

The Silence of the Lambs

One of those movies that sticks with you years after seeing it. I may not have it DVD or even watch it often but I know it by heart. Creepy with excellent acting.

Van Helsing
Van Helsing(2004)

Had to watch 2 or 3 times before I actually liked it. Kinda grows on you even if it is one of my fave genres. A little hokey at times.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

An interesting film that sometimes looses its soul in nothing but legal ramblings. Could be better but the mystical side is quite interesting and creepy at times.

The 13th Warrior

I was surprised just how much I liked this film. With a deverse cast that brings different strengths to play. Antonio was average, there again I was too busy watching all those strong vikings too much to care. Lol.

The Shipping News

A little disappointing and confused. Could have been better, a strong cast does not save a weak script. Average.

Myth, fantasy and some good one liners. You won't strain your brain with this film but who cares. Pass the pop corn.

Another of my faves, sweet and simple with a whole lotta magick. Who cares if Tom Cruise happens to be wearing an itty bitty gold thing. Lol.

The Dark Crystal

The first movie I ever cried my eyes out to. Worked my way through 2 boxes of tissues sat on my mums knee. Beautiful, touching and mystical. A good one no matter your age.

I loved it from start to finish, soothed the dreamer in me.

Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction(1994)

Twists and turns galore. Didn't think I'd like it but instead I loved it. Strong acting and a little cameo from a soulful crooner.

Broken Arrow
