Just saw a screening of this, and it's a really fun movie. Good music and good chemistry among the guys and girl at a pirate radio station, during a time, when the legitimate stations in England didn't play very much rock music.

Funny People

A little different than the previous Apatow movies in tone, but many really funny moments in a movie with a serious side to it. Saw it a few months ago at a screening and really enjoyed it.

Pixar has another masterpiece. Great emotional beginning sequence and animation and story are excellent throughout the film.

Shows the early stages of Beatlemania and really showcases the charm of the Beatles. A great look at them as they were in the year of them really taking over the world.

Shine a Light

Scorsese does a great job in showing off the concert with some funny stuff in the lead up to it.

Truly impressive 3D puts you right in the concert. Really feels like you're right on the stage with them.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

A classic. Spielberg has always been really great at working people's emotions and this is no exception.

Some interesting events imagined around the RFK assassination and a look at those times. Much relevance also to today with RFK's speeches prominently featured.

Letters from Iwo Jima

I moving look at soldiers, showing that whatever side they are on, everyone is really the same, just people with ordinary lives, trying to survive in an extreme situation.

Excellent portrayal of Queen Elizabeth and her relationship with Tony Blair in the aftermath of the death of Princess Diana. Shows some interesting aspects of the workings of the British Government with the royal family.

Funny comedy about a hit man attending his high school reunion.

Great look at the beginnings of the Beatles, and their time in Hamburg.

Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft as Mrs. Robinson were great. Great Simon & Garfunkel songs. Classic lines.

Very moving and intense, extremely well done real time portrayal of the flight and the air traffic controllers involved, often with the real controllers playing themselves.

Munich
Munich(2005)

Spielberg got criticized for this movie from both sides which is due to him trying to be a bit evenhanded in his look at the aftermath of the massacre of the Israeli athletes at Munich. A very well done study of the need of a country for revenge and the results.

Schindler's List

One of Spielberg's best, and most meaningful movies. He can still tug at the emotions well, as he does near the end. This is an important movie for anyone to see.

The U.S. vs. John Lennon

Great documentary. Shows the craziness of the government trying to go after one individual that they see as a threat. Has great relevancy today also.
