I thought this is so over-hyped. I didn't feel that this was a new unique film. There was too much recreation and fan service of the the original film(s) and felt more like a nostalgia film rather than a new film. I wasn't impressed with Kylo Ren. I expected more out of the action sequences. I didn't feel I cared too much for the new characters. There was one emotional scene but other than that I didn't feel this film brought any new exciting things to the table.
I was pleasantly surprised. I feel that they created a new universe with these characters and they fit nicely. I didn't understand everything (it'a inevitable in time travel gilma) but at least I was amused when watching. The Terminator still has it.
While this was an improvement from the book and offered titillating erotic scenes, it suffers from the same defects from its source material. Unrealistic dialogue, no real ending, a weak plot development, and ultimately uninteresting characters. It even felt boring at times.
I appreciated this film immensely. My only criticism is that it's only making a case for the immigrant who "did now know he/she was undocumented" and leaves out the rest. I found the parts relating to his mother to be truly poignant.
I laughed at times and I really like the cast but this is either not my type of humour or most of the jokes were just bad. I laughed here and there but was mostly rolling my eyes throughout the entire film. With all the good reviews, I guess I expected more.
This one was actually better than I expected. However, if the stupid gags concerning bodily functions and fluids were taken out (i.e. semen, piss, and excrement), this would've been a brilliant comedy. I simply didn't find those jokes funny at all, just revolting. Still, this one provides laughs a-plenty. Plus, the cast is great and there were some awesome cameos throughout.
