Arnold will always be my favourite action movie hero. Action classic for sure. I`ll watch it every single time it plays on TV. The twists, the huge blasts and high-tech weaponry. The friendship and romance! I think the thing I like most about Arnold Schwarzenegger action movies is how the romance is gentle, believable and so mild. I do not want heated making out ruining my explosive thrills.

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Everyone`s probably sick of this shit but as action movies go, this was still really fun to watch so long as you don`t take it seriously. I did wonder where the digital camera-fiddling zombies were and why a smarmy Agent Smith-like guy had to be such a stiff jerk as if to remind us that Alice is the most attractive and most human powerful zombie-monster killer ever.

I thought it was a bit sad that Alice`s new crew were really just under-developed characters plumped up for the body count but then Chris and Claire were so hot, I was successfully distracted from the unsatisfying zombie angles presented and placated by their attractiveness.

The ending seems ripe for yet another movie and to be honest, even as I am prepared to be disappointed, I`m excited for it.

It was pretty much as good as the hype in execution if not originality. It`s actually more terrifying than a lot of Hollywood movies I`ve ever watched.

Hanamizuki (2010)

Watched it because all my friends loved it and it was showing for free. It was okay because you knew how every pairing was going to turn out and you would probably cry (at the dead father if not the love stories) if you weren`t so jaded. Like a lot of romance movies, pleasant but fanciful and not very impactful.

It was very Coyote Ugly and I didn`t expect anything less. The songs however, were pretty amazing plus I love Cher and Christina Aguilera. You can skip it and buy the OST even.

Casting was actually quite brilliant and while the character development wasn`t particularly deep, it was enough to make you feel the connections they were supposed to have with one another. Also, I thought Sean was just the token gay guy but he turned out to be a great character.
