Florence Pugh steals the show with a billy Elliot type story arch. Fantastic acting all around and a heart warming in depth look on the wrestling world as a whole and how hard it can really be to not only get in but survive if you don't.
If you played the original game, the nostalgia is incredible. The Cgi on the pokemon is beautiful, and Smith I can actually live with this time. Ryan Reynolds though as Pikachu steals the show! It's like deadpool on PG! The overall story does lack, where it could have gone much deeper but overall impressed.
The actual bio is far more interesting but the acting of Armie hammer and especially felicity Jones make this a fun and heart warming film.
For art film nuts this film may check off more boxes, but where the beauty of the filming is spectacular the convoluted plot, constant time travel and sci Fi profound ending, the end result may be a little too confusing for the everyday movie watcher.
It's a slight improvement on most before it, but escape room still has the same derivative plot and ending.
