- I prefer reading to watching movies, but find myself watching more movies than reading books, unfortunately. I am horribly picky about movies, and my friends will attest to that. Movies with too much violence or language or anything resembling a sex scene (or too much sexual innuendo and dirty talk) will usually drive me away like nothing else. Of course you may be surprised to see such movies as Schindler's List, Passion of the Christ, etc. on my favorite movies list. Honestly, I thought the violence on the Passion of the Christ was a necessary evil... but also one reason why I've only seen the movie twice to date. Schindler's List was disgusting in its sex scenes - things I wish could be more easily edited - and the vulgar language was atrocious. Yet it was powerful enough to be a movie that I consider great - although, again, I have only seen it twice: once by choice, and once by force at school... haha. Yes I am very traditional. Deal with it.
