Max's Review of The Hurt Locker
The Hurt Locker(2009)
A fantastic war film from Kathryn Bigelow about men who risk their lives every day (to a ridiculous point) disarming bombs. It leaves you with a lot of questions but ultimately I think fails in the end to really become universal. The scene where Sgt. James talks to his son seems a little contrived, but other than that, the drama and tension of every moment is well crafted and beautifully executed. Strong performances all around. One I'll be glad to revisit in a couple years.
