National Theatre Live: Follies

This was one of THE finest "live from...." productions we've ever seen. Imelda Staunton and Janie Dee and Philip Quast and Fred Haig all hit "home runs". The finest musical "on screen" EVER. The production values were out of this world. The show is splendid.
See it whenever and wherever you can. Truly fabulous.

Very compelling. The little guys against the "mega-church". Guess who wins?

Easily one of the best pictures of the past year. Meryl is spectacular as usual in the role of Ms. Graham and Hanks is more than serviceable as Ben Bradlee (although he lacks the "edge" that Robards brought to the role). In light of the holes left in the Burns documentary regarding Ellsberg and the "Pentagon Papers", it was important that this film renewed this narrative and set the record straight again. Nixon and Kissinger once again come across as the scary duo that they were!
A wonderful film.

A surprise around every corner....two fantastic acting jobs by McDormand and Harrelson....strong moral messages......blood, gore, f-words flowing....great film....not for the "weak of stomach".
