Movie Ratings and Reviews

Who Can Kill a Child? (Quin puede matar a un nio?)
½

Who can kill a child?, has the most impressive opening that I have ever seen, just the opening is most disturbing than the whole movie.
The film is like a critic to our society, and it works good, it show what would happen if the children take revenge of our acts, and how they take advantage of our impotence of killing them because who can kill a child?. Narciso Ibañez made a good movie with an intersting plot, the film is just thrilling, it doesn´t have any gore scenes, so avoid it if you are looking for gore instead it has some good scary scenes like the disturbing behavior of the children or their scary laugh, the film was shoot under blazing sun and all the action happens during the day and that´s impressive ´cause it´s disturbing.

Lord of the Flies
½

Snow White and the Huntsman

Lord of the Flies

The Loved Ones

The Amazing Spider-Man
½

The Shining
The Shining(1980)

I Killed My Mother
½

The Dark Knight Rises

To Rome with Love
½

Die Tür (The Door)

The Cabin in the Woods
½

Batman: Year One

Ages of Lulu
Ages of Lulu(1990)

Maybe because I read the book first but this adaptation is not as erotic and as explicit as the book, but it's worth watching.

½

Amazing! It's one of the best adaptation I've ever seen, the movie captures all the magic and raw emotions of the book and mix it with incredible performances and fast paced action.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I really liked this american version of the bestseller over the original swedish movie, I think that David Fincher really knows how to entertain the audience, his visual style is unique and Rooney Mara was amazing in her role.

Martha Marcy May Marlene
½

Elizabeth Olsen is the great surprise in this movie, the plot is quite interesnting but the slow pace simply makes the movie looks so boring and pretentious.

Clapham Junction

This is how gay theme movie should be made, with a honest, simple and universal message, free of clichà (C)s and with great performances. Two thumbs up!

We Need to Talk About Kevin
½

Pretty disturbing film, a study of the nature of evil that you may find uncomfortable to watch.

Immortals
Immortals(2011)

It has the signature of the amazing visual style of Tarsem Singh and it's in the vein of 300, but despites the great CGI Immortals lacks of an interesting and passional story.

½

Interesting sci-fi movie with a compelling story, amazing soundtrack and an incredible visual style. The ending is just mind blowing.

Perfect Sense

I was really surprised about this movie, the plot is quite interesting and the performaces are flawless, the direction, the music and the photography help you to get through this film. Perfect Sense it´s like a twist to all this apocaliptics

Restless(2011)

Interesting and beautiful story but it feels like a hole in the movie something missed.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I don't underestand why so much hype, the movie is thrilling, the direction is great and Noomi Rapace fits perfectly in the role but honestly I think the film is a little overrated.

The Silent House
½

I really liked the way it was shot I think it fits in the genre like a fresh air to all these clichà (C)s of haunted house movies but the lack of the script and some tedious scene makes this movie too painful to watch.

The Cell
The Cell(2000)

Visually is amazing and I really liked the production design, the edition and in some ways the story but The Cell is more of the same and doesn't bring anything new to the genre.

Beginners

50/50

Heart warming, deeply beautiful, The Help is a fascinating story about three womens and their fight for their rights. Amazing perfomances and a beautiful photography makes this moviea must watch.

Puncture
Puncture(2011)

The story is really interesting but the way it was told turns the movie into a clichà (C). This could be Chris Evans best performance to date.

½

What I liked from this film is that it tuens to be something different from what I expected, and it's fast paced and has some beautiful photography and well shotted thriller scenes but in the end i felt some emptiness.

What's Your Number?
½

Anna Faris is flawless as always but I didn't watch any chemestry with Chris Evans, although the story sounds pretty is interesting the jokes are not funny and the ending is so predictible as others comedy films.

Children Of God
½

It has some amazing photography and it's beautifull shot but this films lacks of passion although the plot is quite interesting and also the background of some characters.

Removal
Removal(2010)
½

It was an interesting film with a great concept and good performances, it has a fast paced story about guilt with a pair of twist that I didn't see it coming.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Package with a lot of action, amazing sequences and fast paced MI: Ghost Protocol it's an amazing return of the serie.

Romantics Anonymous

This the typical French romantic comedy with a lot of magic and sweet moments but slightly differentof the other films; with an interesting plot and charming characters.

Hostel: Part III
½

To be a direct-to-DVD sequel the film is average, it's softer than the other installment and has a less scary death scenes but the new turn on the story is quite interesting, too bad the poors perfomances and CGI effects "killed" the movie.

Warrior
Warrior(2011)
½

Alongside The Wrestler and The Fighter, Warrior is one of my favorite fights films, it's full of exciting moments and outstanding performance and an amazing story full of heart and brave. Worth watching.

The Reader
The Reader(2008)
½

The Reader is well writing and has an amazing score and photogaphy but it may be a little overrated, although It is the award winning performance of Kate Winslet I personally prefer her job in Revolutionary Road.

Sleeping Beauty

The plot is intriguing but its slow pace, its empty chracters and weak performances make this movie a really big flop from the beginning to the very end of the movie wih that awfull unfinished ending.

The Incredibles

Have U ever ask what happen when heroes get old?
So watch this movie.

Donnie Darko

Bruce Almighty
½

A good film with an interesting story and a good performance by Jim Carrey, Jennifer Aniston and Morgan Freeman, but not they best.

Kill Bill: Volume 1

An excellent movie from Tarantino, with a lot of violence and blood. Uma Thurman made a good performance in this movie. The soundtrack and the story are excellent.

Shrek 2
Shrek 2(2004)

Better than the first movie, with more characters and enterteining story, with fluids animations and good soundtrack. A good movie to watch with the family.

Finally a great comic adaptation

Titanic
Titanic(1997)

An excellent love story, too long but pretty interesting with great performances by Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kathy Bates.

Catfish
Catfish(2010)
½

This is like the ultimate Facebook movie, tis is adocumenatry that really deals with actual issues, it's like take a look to most of the people that hides behind a fake profile and how it can really damage, not only their self-esteem, but someone else.

What the Bleep!? Down the Rabbit Hole
½

This is like a personal and spiritual jouerny for the search of your true self, somehow it's inspiring.

The Runaways
The Runaways(2010)
½

I was after this movie right after I saw the trailer maybe because Dakota Fanning and the direction of Floria but I have to admit that Kristen Stewart did a really good job and if you knew this '70s female rock you may enjoy the movie as I did.

The Rite
The Rite(2011)
½

It's not enough to have Anthony Hopkins if your story is pretty lame and this is the big flaw of The Rite is a not scary and predictible horror movie.

Frozen
Frozen(2010)

Frozen has some real thrilling moments and an amazing photography but it doesn't seem enough to fill the emptiness that left behind.

Paranormal Activity 2

It was pretty lame it's like the first one but with a little bit more of budget, it's not scary and it may be boring.

Saw 3D
Saw 3D(2010)

The final installament of the Saw series is not as IMPRESSIVE as I thought it could be, they tried to connect all the story together but at the end it feels unsatisfying.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence)
½

One of the most dissgusting film I've ever seen, it's a slow pace but at the end iis worth it.

Buried
Buried(2010)
½

I cannot believe how this one location movie with just one character has become one of the most interesting movie of the 2010. The direction is really impressive, the story is quite well written and Ryan Reynolds performance is breathtaking.

Oceans (Disneynature's Oceans)

This could be one of the most beautiful documentary I've ever seen, it's precious and really enjoyable.

How to Train Your Dragon

I really thought it could be another kid flick but How to Train Your Dragon taught me a lesson. It's about friendship, courage, be brave and love.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
½

This is like the ultimate friki-geek movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a movie full of magic, full of emotions and full of epic characters and performances. It's like a videogame come true.

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2(2010)
½

It may be as funny as the first one but Iron Man 2 has some incredible CGI and non stop action besides Robert Downey fill the screen with his incredible charisma.

The Social Network
½

What can I say about this brilliant directing film, its impressive story and great performances that no one has told before? Well it's David Fincher....

The Last Airbender

How can M. Night Shyamalan destroy such a beautifull story from the original series and transform it into a boring, stupid and senseless movie?

Resident Evil: Afterlife
½

This sequel is more of the same: zombies and bullets and the only reason for watching this is Milla Jovovich because the story and the rest of the characters are getting pretty boring.

Strapped
Strapped(2010)
½

This could be one of the best gay theme movie I've ever seen is "clichà (C) free" and the direction is superb alongside the well written story that has some thrilling moments and remarkable characters, the plot is quite simple but it can have a lot of reading. This could be a movie that you don't want to miss.

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence)

This could be the most disgusting film I've ever seen, The Human Centipede II is a disturbing and dirty film that will shock everyone who watches it.

Friends With Benefits
½

It may be a little predictible that the chemestry between Mila and Justin and the funny moments make a really watchable movie.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

It has an interesting story and amazing visual style but the development and some part of the story didn't make any justice to the great direction and the good performances.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

The Dead
The Dead(2011)

Mother's Day
Mother's Day(2012)

Faces in the Crowd
½

The Squad (El paramo)

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Saluda al Diablo de mi Parte (My Regards to the Devil)

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole
½

Midnight in Paris

Realmente sorprendente.

Captain America: The First Avenger
½

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1
½

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
½

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

David Yates toma un poco de los directores de las anteriores entregas y en empaca esta nueva secuela con mas drama, personajes mas oscuros y mucha mas accion que hace de Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix la secuela mas entretenida y sorprendente hasta el momento.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Super Size Me

No Strings Attached

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
½

House of Numbers

Planet of the Apes
½

X-Men: First Class
½

The Road
The Road(2009)

The Hangover Part II

Last Night
Last Night(2011)
½

New York, I Love You
½

The Last Exorcism
½

Across the Universe
½

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)
½

Love and Other Drugs
½

Let Me In
Let Me In(2010)
½

Garden State
Garden State(2004)

Easy A
Easy A(2010)

Absorbente banda sonora. I felt it PERFECT.

The Kids Are All Right
½

The Fighter
The Fighter(2010)
½

Entretenida y divertida a partes iguales.

Blue Valentine

In the Mood for Love

Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire

Aterradoramente real, opresora, depresiva y conmovedora.

Brothers
Brothers(2009)

It had a very promising plot but the film moves in a slow pace that once it cames to the climax it doesnt matter. Tobey Maguire is outstanding also Natalie Portman.

Clash of the Titans

Yes, its a classic, but the movie is so long and predictible that I didnt worry too much.

The Descent 2

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Although it look like an extended version Neil Marshalls hit only for the USA.

Where the Wild Things Are

Outstanding, Spike Jonze made a childs story into a adults story, is not the typical family movie this is more than that; a beautifull visual style, a great voice work and a perfect story.

Toy Story 2
Toy Story 2(1999)
½

Not as great as the original! Anyways the toys are back!!

Earth (Disneynature's Earth) (Planet Earth)

Beautifull footage and an amazing work in an incredible beauty place where we live.

Creation
Creation(2010)

I was looking for this film for so long, but at the end it was quite dissapointing, the performances are good but the faith/sciense battle didnt have much attention.

The Fourth Kind
½

I have never been so scared in my whole life. I watched this at 12.00 a.m and I couldnt sleep, this is agood job of tension and scares, yes its a PG 13 but Milla Jovovich perfect perfomance make the film so real that I almost beliave that what I was watching was based on true events, too bad it isnt....

The Crazies
The Crazies(1973)

Toy Story(1995)

A classic Disney/Pixar film that has all the componentsto make it unforgettable: grat history, and amazing developmente and great characters.

Agora
Agora(2010)

The most personal film from spanish director Alejandro Amenábar. Ágora is outstanding, the effects and cinematography are excellent, and Rachel Weisz as Hypatia, brings and amazing performance. This movie is not for everyone, neither is like Troya or Gladiator, it turns to another direction. Amenabár brings his most impressive movie to date.

Coraline(2009)

This is not your typical movie for kiddo, this is like a nightmare of every child. Coraline is both stunning and visually amazing.

The Box
The Box(2009)

The first half of the movie is aoutstanding then Richard Kelly comes with all his crazy stuffs and turn the box into a laughable and ridiculous sci fi project but then comes the end and makes it worth watching!

Zombieland
Zombieland(2009)

And I thought that the zombie genre was aleady dead, Zombieland shows how to make a funny and gory film with good performances and an amazing cameo. Woody Rocks!

Gia
Gia(1997)

Strong and powerfull biography movie about the wild life of the supermodel Gia, Angelina Jolie proves one more time that shes more than a pretty face, her performance is amazing, she was the one for the role.

The Cove
The Cove(2009)
½

Now everybody MUST WATCH this! One of the best movies of the 2009 and one of the best documentaries Ive seen, The Cove is so intriguing so realistic.

I'll Never Die Alone (No morire sola)

The Argentinian version of I Spit in Your Grave (Day of the Woman), I'll Never Die Alone (No morire sola) got that smell of the classic horror movies about rape and revenge and its in the vein of the 70 films. I nice change to the latin american films.

Triangle
Triangle(2009)
½

A puzzle from the start to the end. Triangle is intelligent and mesmerizing, once the questions begins you shouldnt to figure out whats next.

Paranormal Activity
½

This is scary? This is stressful! But not the most horrorific movie of the year, come on Drag Me to Hell IS FUCKING SCARY! This is over hyped, but estill is a good exercise of tension.

The Princess and the Frog

Disneys back to basics!!! The Princess and the Frog is not the same story you may know, this is a twist to that classic fairytale, Disneys proves that can do a movie with the taste of classic, in the same vein of The Beauty and the Beast or Cinderella.

The Final Destination
½

Suddenly I has a Dejavu, The Final Destination is a waste of time, a sequel just like the others, with the same development but more gore. Have you seen the others installment?! SKIP THIS!

Avatar
Avatar(2009)
½

An outstanding work of piece, Avatar is just an amazing experience, never the CGI felts so real, the world of Pandora is beautifull and some scenes are breathtaking, this is a film with soul, with heart, altought the story is pretty predictable the whole expierence makes you to forget that detail.

H2: Halloween II

Not as good as Rob Zombies Halloween, but this sequel is more violent and raw, Michael Myers and Laurie Strode has a more important part of the film, but the films feels its so slow paced (I watched the directors cut) and over the top. I think this is his most personal movie to date.

The House of the Devil
½

Theres no horror movie like this one these days, The House Of The Devil is an stylish and well done movie that manage to cath the 70s/80s style. This is a slow burning film, a very visual one, where the last 15 minutes are tense, thrilling and creepy. A movie not for everyone.

The Midnight Meat Train

A fast paced horror film, so violent with disturbing scenes but poor CGI, the story and the performances are interesting but the final twist is just amazing.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
½

Well its Twilight you have neo-vampires, shinny skin, romance and bad performance what more can you ask for, well the movie has better CGI than the original but some of it looks really chessy, and the performances hurts so much, Kirsten Stewart looks like she was in another world, anyways I kinda enjoyed it.

Jennifer's Body
½

Absolutely awfull is neither funny or horrific, Megan Fox is a bitch and she was good in her role but the movie completely sucks.

Carriers
Carriers(2009)
½

This is not your typical movie about infected people, Carriers is set in an apocaliptic land where almost all the people are dead, the battle is against theirs moral where they must make a dard desicion.

Moon
Moon(2009)
½

A psycological twit to the science fiction genre, Moon is absolutely thrilling with the incredible performance by Sam Rockweel and the nice debut for the director Duncan Jones.

The Wrestler
The Wrestler(2008)

A lesson of acting, Darren Aronofsky brings with The Wrestler a heartbreaking story with wonderfull performances and an amazing direction.

Zeitgeist: The Movie

A hard look to todays global administration, Zeitgeist: The Movie is a great documentary about a corrupted world where only those who has the power can control, but beware it can makes you paranoic.

Before Sunset

This is how sequels should be made, Before Sunset follows the same development and execution of the first film, where the dialogues and only two characters are enough to keep the ineterest in the movie.

The Good Son
The Good Son(1993)
½

A fantastic thriller, Macaulay Culkin is just amazing.

The House on Sorority Row

A really boring slasher film, The House on Sorority Row is one of the most slow paced film Ive ever seen, it has no soul, no emotion, nothing.

Disney's A Christmas Carol

Another adaptation of Christmas Carol that just like the others, this is the typical Christmas story that we all know, the CGI is fantastic, but the story and the development is too slow for children.

Before Sunrise

A different romantic movie wheres theres only two characters and dialogues, the chemestry between Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy is exquisite.

2012
2012(2009)

Absolutely awful for those who knows Roland Emmerich they should know how this movie is gonna be, a lot of destruction, lame screenplay and a movie lack of soul and great CGI.

500 Days of Summer
½

Now this is how romantic comedy should be made. (500) Days of Summer is a truly fantastic love story although it hasnt love in it. It got a classic style, it´s like a comedy from Woody Allen but with a touch of reality. The cast, the direction, the music, all in it its fantastic.

Must watch!

Saw VI
Saw VI(2009)
½

For those who hate Saw V let me tell you something Saw VI is more impressive than the last installment is a great sequel with gore scenes and a fantastica final twist, the cricle may be closed but the game is not over yet.

Inglourious Basterds

Superb! Tarantino strikes again with a new vision of the war against Nazis, with an amazing casting that includes a briliant Brad Pitt, a great Eli Roth (he can also ACT), a fearless Christoph Waltz and the incredible Til Schweiger. Inglourious Basterds is one of the most important film of Tarantino, forget about Death Proof, this is MESMERIZING.

The Stepfather
½

The whole movie is a borefest, but Terry O´Quinn performances is too disturbing that made this film watchable.

Saw V
Saw V(2008)
½

Along with Saw IV Saw V is the weakest part of the installment. It felts like this movie is just for fans.

Like a horror movie, Saw V is the worst choice, but everythings changes if you see the film like a complement to the others parts.

The Hills Run Red
½

A decent slasher flick, watching this you will feel like in 70´s or 80´s which is good, but we have seen this so many times before that we already whats gonna happen.

Drag Me to Hell

Sam Raimi is back with the genre that makes him famous, Drag Me to Hell is an enterteining, fun and scary movie, the black humor and Raimis talent is one of the most powerfull reason to watch this.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
½

Another achievment from DC comics animation and Warner Premiere, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is pure action from the start till the end, the story is quite interesting and it has a lot of cameos.

If you like the previous animation film you may like this.

Saw IV
Saw IV(2007)
½

SAW IV isn´t the best movie from the SAW films. The story and the situations are a little confusing, but at the end you´ll understand it. The best thing from whole the movie was the gore scenes and the originals traps.

A disappointed movie, but not bad, but I still prefer SAW III, if you are a SAW fan and a gore lover, you may enjoy SAW IV, but if you haven´t seen any of SAW movies, you may hate it.

Deadgirl
Deadgirl(2008)

Clearly not a movie for everyone, Deadgirl is a low paced movie with an interesting concept, the zombie-chick who is constantly raped by a group of teenagers is something new to the repetitive remake and sequels of horror movie we´ve seen so far. Tha movie is more than gore and blood is a true horror film.

Saw III
Saw III(2006)

Although its more of the same, Saw III is a great ending for the trilogy, and the goriest film of the previously installment. Too bad the sequels took another way...

Saw II
Saw II(2005)
½

Jigsaw is back for more his puzzle is not complete yet and as long as it take to be finish there will be more sequel. Saw II is made with the same technique but with more ingenuity than the original. Not as bad as everybody says...

Saw
Saw(2004)

And this is how it started, the movie that bring to life one of the most important psycho killer of this decade, Jigsaw, that easily can be an Icon Horror. Saw is a thrilling movie, where every shot is perfectly made to let it fits to the final act.

Star Trek
Star Trek(2009)
½

Im not a trekkie, and Im not interested to be one of this group, but Star Trek is just amazing that it can turn you into a newbie trekkie, anyways, J.J. Abrams is a fascinating director he can do whatever he wants that he will do good, the cast is impressive and the performances astonishing. The effects and the action scenes are flawless.

One of the best movie of 2009.

Trick 'r Treat

An excellent option to the satured halloween movies governed by the Saw saga, Trick 'r Treat is an air fresh for the panorama, with a well scripted screenplay that reminded me films like Pulp Fiction, intercalate with four interesting stories, Trick 'r Treat oficially is a Must Watch film for this halloween, forget Saw, grab your costume and enjoy this film.

District 9
District 9(2009)
½

Mesmerizing. Simply one of the best movie of 2009!

Final Destination 3
½

If you have seen the previous installment you should probably know how is it gonna be end. Final Destination 3 its no more than the typical story weve seen back in 2000 with Final Destination, althought the death scenes are gorier and bloody the result is always the same.

Final Destination 2

The perfect excuse to make a gory film, Final Destination 2 has the same excution of the original, but the death scenes are more bloody and disturbing.

Final Destination

Forget about the serial killers! Final Destination is a new twist to the typical horror teens. The movie combines the thriller with the gore to deliver one of the most original horror film in this decade.

Antichrist
Antichrist(2009)

A look of Lars Von Trier to the Genesis, this movie is pure sex explicit with some greats shots, a beautiful atmosphere, amazing performances and a great prologue. Von Trier doesnt care what do you think of his movie, his only wants to show you his vision of this world.

Joshua
Joshua(2007)

What a waste of potential and performances, I thought it could be a big surprise, but not, I was wrong, the whole movie is wrong, too slow, too disappointed.

I Love You, Man

Enjoyable comedy film, that comes with a good story and funny performances, although the end is predictable is worth watching, not only for the cast but because I Love You, Man is one of the funniest film of the year.

Pet Sematary
Pet Sematary(1989)

This is when Stephen Kings book was In, when every almost every book was turn into a movie, but now this craze thing is over and now we have all this chessy films, I dont know why but I think the only worthy thing in this adaptation was Miko Hughes performances, this kid is lovely and disturbing.

BTW, this is the kind of movie that should be remade.

Orphan
Orphan(2009)
½

Dont know what to think about Orphan, I really enjoyed the whole movie but there was something odd with this. The atmosphere, the acting, specially Isabelle Fuhrman´s performance (she may be anHorror Icon !) and the dialogues was quite intereseting, but the the twist comes and I dont know what to think, its great but also so over the top.

Far From Heaven
½

Far From Heaven is a well scripted and development melodrama with exquisite performances and amazing visual style and marvelous costumes. The soundtrack and the design make a great achievement to make this movie looks like a 50´s movie.

Time to Leave
½

Too human, too touching, Time to Leave (Le Temps Qui Reste) is a honest drama about the wasted time. Ozon delivered a well development film with a nice story and compelling character. If you like french cinema, you should really watch this.

Grace
Grace(2009)
½

Not as disturbing as people are saying it is, maybe the film is over hyped, because Grace is one of the most boring film Ive ever seen. Dissapointedl.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D
½

I didnt watch it in 3D (Can you believe it? We dont have 3D thearters in Barranquilla) and I didnt watch the original, so this is a pretty good slasher with all the typical situations, amazing CGI and great gore effects.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

What could you expect from a movie based on action figures? Well, nothing, thats G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, a typical chessy blockbuster film with big explosions, a lot of CGI, and bad performances. At least, the film is fast paced.

Alone
Alone(2007)
½

A good asian movie from the directors of Shutter, the movie is thrilling and with a good twist, the direction is great and the story is interesting.

The Burning Plain

Guillermo Arriaga the writer of Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel, presents his directorial debut:The Burning Plain, a film in the same vein of his later works, three diferent stories connected each other, and the result is quite interestig although I rather his colaboration with Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Superman: Doomsday

Superman: Doomsday is superboring and superweak, not brilliant like others animation movie, Lauren Montgomery would have such a long road. The animation is too weak and the voice job is dissapointed. Not recommended for everybody!

Long Weekend (Nature's Grave)

Long Weekend is juts like a "natural" horror movie, where nature face against the most vile enemy: man. This film has some boring clichés, like the fact that the couple has some really grave marital problems, so they decide to go to an isolated beach but what they dont know is that nature will turn against them.

Milk
Milk(2008)
½

Milk is such an excellent biopic. Gus Van Sant is excellent and Dustin´s screenplay is flawless and the great performance by the almighty Sean Penn made the movi into an incredible experience.

Justice League: The New Frontier
½

A pretty decent animation flick, Justice League: The New Frontier is based upon the graphic novel published by DC Comics, and shows a very mature plot with a different vision of superheros is in the same vein of Watchmen but made for kids.

Green Lantern: First Flight
½

Green Lantern: First Flight is a watchable animation flick for those who, like me, doesnt know anything about Green Lantern and it can prepare you for the announced comic adaptation. The animation is the typical work used in the WB toon series like Superman, Batman and Justice League, its fast paced and very entertaining.

Borderland
Borderland(2007)
½

Basically a Hostel rip-off. Borderland is just another porn torture wannabe that deals with the typical clichés, for example the three american guys. The story is quite interesting and the gore effects are great, but this the movie we have seen so many times. Theres no surprise in it.

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers
½

Michael Myers is not the guy I used to know, now he is another Jason wannabe, this fifth installment feels like another Friday the 13th rip-off, it has all the bad sequels cliché: bad acting, stupid and ridicolus plot and an unnecessary way to extend the franchise.

Rachel Getting Married

Not the best Jonathan Demme picture, I still think that Silence of the Lambs is his masterpiece, anyways, Rachel Getting Married is a nice experiment shooted with a Dogma 95 style that easily can draw us into the movie, into the characters feeling. Just another Study of Family Dysfunction thats worth of watch.

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

Just like others 80´s serial killers sequels, Halloween 4 uses an over-exploited plot. Not the best sequel but fairly good than the horrible Season of the Witch, at least Michael Myers is back, again.

The Last House on the Left

Honestly, this remake could be better, yes, it has some very intense and gory scenes but the movie its so mainstream, it doesnt have the dirty atmosphere or the documentary style of the original. Another waste of money!

Superman ieotdeon sanai (If I were Superman)
½

Cute, funny and typical Korean movie.

Superman
Superman(1978)

Not a big fan of Superman, but you just dont have to be a genius to realize that this is one of the best (not the best) superhero movie ever made.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)
½

Absolutely B-O-R-I-NG ZzzZzzZzzZz, but hey its a kid film, so its ok though.

See No Evil
See No Evil(2006)
½

What a waste of time, See No Evil is ypur typical slasher film full of the countless clichés, uglies characters and a boring and predictable story. The gore is dissapointed and the gore is awful. Kane must be the most boring and stupid serial killer in a slasher flick.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

What we have here is another and typical chick flick with some really funny scences but also with the typical and horrible clichés that destroys the whole concept. Confessions of a Shopaholic is the blockbuster of all chick flick so dont wait enough of it-

Terminator Salvation
½

Not a fan of the Terminator saga, so the only thing that I can say is that this fourth installment is not a good blockbuster, Why? Because MGM directed one of the most boring Ive ever seen, seriously I was almost sleep watching this. Not even Christian Bale could save this film. Sorry but this is a FAIL!

The Children
The Children(2008)
½

Another "Evil Children" film that keeps with the same formula as other movies with the same topic. The Children is not as thriller as I thought, its just another boring film with evil kids. Do you really wanna see a shocking film? Well, check Who Can Kill a Child? and skip this.

Up
Up(2009)
½

Up its your typical Pixar movie, with charming characters, incredible animation and an interesting story. The movie worked well in the first hour but then all turns to the typical "Pixar Clichés".

Its a great achievement in animation But Wall-E its much better than Up.

A Mighty Heart

A not so good movie but watchable film, A Mighty Heart is not the film I was expecting to see, its more like a denunciation of a crime and some politics, the film may seem so slow paced but Angelina Jolie heartwarming performance make it acceptable.

4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days
½

Certainly is not a movie for everyone, at least not for me, too slowl to keep watching and too boring to enjoy. Sorry but this Golden Palm winner its not my cup of tea.

3-Iron
3-Iron(2004)
½

Simply AMAZING Kim Ki-duk is a GENIUS. 3-Iron (Bin-jip) (Empty Houses) is such an incredible masterpiece, the way the directors use the silence like another character is sublime, this is the proof that you dont need stupid and chessy dialogues to make a great love story.

If you like asian cinema and youre searching for something different, this is your movie. Two thumbs up!!!

This Film Is Not Yet Rated
½

An interesting look to the >MPAA organization and the way that they rated films, This Film is Not Yet Rated show us the stupid way that this organization decides to rated movies, in this documentary we can see all the problems that the directors have to face in order to have a decent release for their film.

A must watch.

The House Bunny

The House Bunny starts really good but its development is really boring and predictable, of course there were so many good moments but all the funny things just come from Faris the rest of the cast really sucks.

In other words, Anna Faris is just the main reason to watch this.

Revolutionary Road

Sam Mendes portrais one more time the depressing life of the suburban family in the United States. Revolutionary Road is a depressing, real and touching story about a young couple who try to move on in a world where they dont belong. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio made an amazing performances.

Stay
Stay(2005)

Sorrounded by a fascinating visual style, Stay is the kind of movie I enjoy watching, with a complex story and characters but piteously the films is slow paced making you to wish the end.div>

The Hottie and the Nottie

Even if you unplugged your brain you are prone to suffer a hemorrage in the brain. The ridicoulous and illogical plot will leave you speechless and the stupid and bad performances gonna make you scream till death.

Slumdog Millionaire

Truly a great achievement in direction, Slumdog Millionaire has an exquisite photography, amazing soundtrack and a great story with a fast paced execution BUT this is not the masterpiece everybody is talking about, just an amazing film that was elevated by the hype.

Shelter
Shelter(2007)

Shelter is one of those movies that has everything and has been overlooked for the specialized "critics". This film has a really great potencial, its fast paced and full of briliant performances, Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe are consumed by their characters bringing us some deeper emotions, the cinematography is flawless and the soundtrack is really awesome.

Definitely a worth of watching.

Sex Drive
Sex Drive(2008)

Another wannabe American Pie movie, Sex Drive is the same teen sex comedy. I watched the unrated version and its just insane, why is so important to show a naked person every 10 second? Sorry but I didnt get the point. If you dont wanna lose your time and money you better skip this film because youre going to find the same dumbs clichés that we have seen so many times.

Scream 3
Scream 3(2000)
½

Now Wes Craven went to far with this third installment

X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Hands down to one of the worst movies of 2009, X-Men Origins - Wolverine is highly disspointing not only in the story and execution but what they call "special effects" OMFG those "special effects" are pretty awful and the Logan´s claws looks like plasticine.

The only memorable thing was Hugh Jackman´s performance.

Scream 2
Scream 2(1997)

The first part of Scream was focus on the clichés of all horror movies, this second part is based on the clichés of the sequels of horror films. Scream 2 has a lot of nods to horror film that results fascinating and also is more bloody than the original but the end is very predictible.

Save Me
Save Me(1993)

Save Me is one of those indies films with a made for TV look, the story is interesting but very predictible and with a lot of clichés, otherwise the movie has some powerful performances and a great direction.

Too bad the movie turns to be very cliché.

Santa Sangre
Santa Sangre(1989)

One of the most bizarre film Ive ever seen, Santa Sangre a.k.a Holy Blood is not a film for everyone so I´m oy sure if I would recommend it. Alejandro Jodorowsky shows his weird look to the circus family in this film full of stranges, bizarres and shoking scenes.

Reservation Road

Reservation Road is one of those movies that is characterized for having really powerfull and amazing performances. The threesome composed of three amazing actors like Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Connelly brings to us a lot of mixed emotions, but the film itself is just to cliché and slow paced. Reservation Road moves in circle showing the sames scenes and sames problems again and again.

Lost In Translation
½

Lost in translation it´s a movie that doesn´t need of the dialogues to express the feelings in it, a visual film that can transmit loneliness only with the silence in it. The photography and the locations are beautifull and with the great performances by two great actors: Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. Watching the movie makes me feel lonely just like Bob and Charlotte.

Reign of Fire
½

Nice try for making an apocaliptic film with dragons but
Reign of Fire turned to be a simple and dissapointed B movie. The main idea of the film is attractive but is poorly executed, the CGI are awful and the performances (including Christian Bale) are disappointing.

Watch it and throw it away, far far away.

Burn the Bridges

Honestly I didnt expect so much from this movie but Quemar las Naves is an impressive mexican film, full of great details and a surprising quality. The actors did an amazing job, Irene Azuela gave a finest performance and Francisco Franco (the director) manage to catch the attention with a very fluent narration.

Proof
Proof(2005)
½

Well acted and underrated drama that transforms Proof in a delightful drama about a dysfunctional family. Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins give us impressives performances, their characters are in the thin line between insanity and genious. A worth of watch.

Primer
Primer(2004)

Pretentious film with some interesting facts but a boring development, I feel like I´ve been robbed this film has so much hype that really it doesnt deserve. Sorry but this is not a masterpiece and neither the culmination of the sci-fi genre.

S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale

Obviously its not as perfect as the original one, but s. Darko follows the same execution that Richard Kelly´s film. At the beginning the story is interesting but it becomes boring and predictible. Its just another unnecesary and pretentious film.

If you havent watch Donnie Darko, skip it, otherwise you may give it a try BUT DONT EXPECT SO MUH about this, Daveigh Chase isnt Jake Gyllenhaal, and Samantha Darko doesnt have charisma.

Nostradamus: 2012

A worth of watching documentary that tells a series of prophecys about the end of the world based on Nostradamu´s books and the Mayas culture.

According to this documentary the end of the world will start on December 21st of 2012.

Next Stop Wonderland
½

"It does not matter how you meet Mr or Ms. The Real mystery is: What keep two people together after they meet?"

This is not the typical hollywood ridicolous comedy, this is a brilliant and original comedy film, Brad Anderson did an amazing job with this indie movie, the script is so surprising and the direction is great, too bad is a low budget film because it could be a huge succes. Hope Davis has a charming character. Next Stop Wonderland is about fate.

Night on Earth

A well done experiment, Night on Earth is a collection of five stories involving cab drivers in five different cities, every taxi driver in every city has a story to be told. Interesting cast and great execution.

Mulholland Drive

Twisted and compelling. Mulholland Drive is a very diferent film that comes from the psychotic mind of David Lynch.

Truly is not a film for everyone is like a big puzzle, the more you try to underestand the more confused you get.

Lust, Caution
½

Another great achievment from underrated asian director Ang Lee.

Jesus Camp
Jesus Camp(2006)

A truly and terrifying horror movie, and guess what? Its not in the horror genre is a documentary about the reality of some children of the United State.

This amazing documentary show us how the world will come to an end, with people who "control" children´s mind.

EVERYBODY MUST WATCH THIS AND OPEN YOUR MIND!!!

P.S Wtf? They even love Bush!!!

Jarhead
Jarhead(2005)

I liked JARHEAD ´cause it´s not the typical war movie with shots and blood everywhere, Jarhead tells the story of Tony Swoff perfomanced by Jake Gyllenhaal and his experience in the Marines. If you are tired of the typicals war movies like "Saving Private Ryan" or "Platoon" so watch this movie because it´s very human like no other.

Sin Nombre
Sin Nombre(2009)

And now I ask myself: Why all the hype?

Sin Nombre is your typical latinamerican movie that deals with the same topic seen before, in this case, the ilegal inmigration and the consequences that it has. The director, Cary Joji Fukunaga, show us in a very raw way the drama and the problems that the people has to deal under extreme circunstances.

I found Sin Nombre a very boring and lineal film, but maybe is not my type of film.

Into the Wild
½

Theres not enough words to describe how fascinating this film is.

Into The Wild is one of the most inspiring films I´ve ever seen, a searching of a man for the really mean of life leaving behind all the vague things he has once. Sean Penn is not only a great actor, he also is an amazing director, each shot is like a cinema lesson, the photgraphy and the soundtrack is refreshing.

Emile Hirsch and the rest of the cast did a great performances.

The Spirit
The Spirit(2008)

Not as bad as I thought but The Spirit is not good at all.

The Spirit has a beautiful visual style just like the previous Frank Miller´s comics adaptation: Sin City and 300, but it doesnt mean that is as good as the others. The problem with this film is that we don´t have that surprise factor, the story and the development is predictible, and the poor performances didnt help.

The Spirit is an empty and boring movie, in other word, The Spirit has no spirit.

Vinyan
Vinyan(2008)

Just like Calvaire, Fabrice Du Welz use the human drama to bring us a very different movie coming from France, where the gore and blood doesnt exists and we are the witness of the human suffering, yes it sounds good, but the truth is that Vinyan didnt fulfill my expectatives.

We have a story with the background of the Asian Tsunami in 2004, where a couple are looking for their lost child. We have pure drama, no horror and no suspense, just a film where the psyche is the main character.

Boring and just a movie for certain kind of people.

Interview with the Vampire
½

I dont get why so many people say that this is the ultimate vampire film. C´mon haven´t you guys seen Bram Strokers Dracula by Francis Coppola or the amazing Let The Right One In?

Interview with the Vampire is one of the most overrated I have ever seen, it has two great actors: Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, who has this strange relationship. The slow paced of the film and a boring plot almost made me fall sleep while I was watching this film.

Sorry but Interview with the Vampire didn´t catch my attention.

Inside (À l'intérieur)
½

And then the frenchs director came, firts we had the amazing Haute Tension and now the horror fans are happy to watch another gory and weel made film come from France, we have À l'intérieur (Inside).

Long time no see such a SCARY, BRILIANT and DISTURBING film, À l'intérieur (Inside) is the most scary film I have ever seen, it has everything: acting, story and gore, gore, gore and more gore with blood, a movie that you shouldn´t miss.

Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury proves that theres no need to remake or continue a movie to come with something fresh and bloody.

Two thumbs up for frenchs directors!!!

In the Mouth of Madness

Too bad it´s not the movie I was expecting to see, In the Mouth of Madness is just another 70 style film with a paranoic plot, it has a very beautiful photography with a touch of Silent Hill (the videogame). A lot of people says that this is John Carpenter best film but I don´t agree, the film is weel written but poorly executed, it could be better.

Two Thumbs Up for the apocaliptic ending!!!

House of Sand and Fog
½

House of Sand and Fog is one of those movies that lets you speechless, Vadim Perelman directorial debut turns into something AMAZING. He only faces two characters with different problems and thoughts and lets that the desiny and its cosequences builds this depressing drama.

One of the mains reasons to watch this underrated film is the two powerfull performances by the beautiful and talented Jeniifer Connelly, who proves the great actress she is, and Ben Kingsley who fits perfect in his role.

Surrounded by a depressing and sad cinematography, House of Sand and Fog will let you thinking about how hard is the life.

His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th

His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th is a MUST WATCH for all Jason´s fans, this documentary explain one by one every Friday the 13th film with their respecting cast, director and other guest in a fast-paced and fresh way, it has so many oddities about all the Jason cultures and also show why the infamous Jason is one of the most important Pop Icon in american culture.

Higher Learning

A regular film that deals with differents issues like rapes, racisms, neo-nazis and more. Higher Learning tries to give us multiple views from different people with multiple problems, the film is not bad, is just your average critic film to social problems.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
½

A raw and real portrait of a serial killer, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is one of the most acclamaid biopic but also is an underrated flick.

This film has an amazing performance by Michael Rooker but the rest of the cast delivered a poor performance, just in the same level as a telefilm, the photography and the documentary style is ok but it is not nothing to be proud of. I dont see why people called this film "disturbing", because it has a few scenes that made me jump.

In a few words, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is not the film I was expecting to see, a complete deception.

Happy Accidents
½

A really good and diferent love story.

Before Brad Anderson created his masterpiece The Machinist, he directed two comedies "Next Stop Wonderland" and this film "Happy Accidents", the story is well written and the edition and direction are great. Vincent D'Onofrio and Marisa Tomei did a great performances.

Happy Accidents is not your typical chessy chick flick, it has the feeling of a good love story mixed with a twisting ending.

Halloween III - Season of the Witch

Firstable a Halloween film without Michael Myers IS NOT HALLOWEEN!, it reminds me that Friday the 13th film called A NEW BEGINNING, anyways, Tommy Lee Wallace only took advantage of the name "Hallloween" to try to sell this film like a sequel from Carpenter´s cult film, easily it should be named only "Season of the Witch". The plot is kinda chessy and poor, and so the slow pace of the film, the only interesting thing of this movie is the amazing score composed by Carpenter, the soundtrack is flawless.

Skip it!

High Tension (Switchblade Romance)

Alexandre Aja made an excellent film wich keeps U watching the movie until it´s over. An excellent plot, good acting and great direction, this movie made my heart beating faster and keep me in the edge of the seat, has gore and interesting story.

Half Nelson
Half Nelson(2006)

Verys distinct and fresh drama with a subtle touch of documentary, Half Nelson is just the typical indie film with a different thing: the execution and "weird" screenplay. One of the other remarkable thing in this film is the wonderfull and natural performance delivered by one of the most talented and youngest actor in this "new wave"; Ryan Gosling.

Talk to Her
Talk to Her(2002)

A weird twist to the typical loves stories. Almodovar´s Hable Con Ella is one of the most important film in Europe, the film has some amazing performances and a brilliant screenplay.

A must watch for all the spanish-flick lovers!

Jason X
Jason X(2002)

Jason X or how to kill a franchise.

What was James Isaac thinking??? He probably said: Let´s make a new Alien type-film. Yes, Jason is alive (again) and he is more ridicuolous and chessy than ever.

RIP Jason Voorhess.

Jason Goes to Hell - The Final Friday

Finally Jason is DEAD!!! But wait a minute, the last film should have been better than the others, but this is not the case for Jason Goes to Hell - The Final Friday because is at the same level of the others parts, in other words: is silly and chessy!!

Friday the 13th Part VIII - Jason Takes Manhattan
½

So the producers said: "let´s take Jason to Manhattan in order to create something fresh and original."

Nah! the same crap as the others.

Burn it to the ground!

Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood

In this installment you could see how the saga was gettin worse. Oh right, a girl with telekinetic powers. Pfff!!!

Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives

Jason was on vacation but in this part he has return, obviously a Friday th13th without Jason isn´t a Friday the 13th, so what did they do? Bring the old Jason back in a very dissapointed and boring film.

Skip it!

Fire in the Sky
½

Not the type of movie I was expecting to see, Fire in the Sky is a slow pace film with a boring story.

Too difficult to recommend.

Existenz
Existenz(1999)

ExistenZzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz Zzz...

Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter and Under the Hood

The complement that all the Watchmen readers MUST WATCH. Tales of the Black Freighter has an amazing animation full of intereseting dialogues with a gory and shocking style..

Watchmen
Watchmen(2009)

Now this is how an adaptation should be made, there´s no problem if you havent read the graphic novel because Snyder knew hpw to direct the movie without cutting any story. Watchmen is visually stunning and well acted besides the music, the costumes, the set design everything is amazing and enjoyable to see.

With Watchmen Zack Snyder proves that he´s one of the most acclamaid, amazing and visual director alive.

Dragonball Evolution

Just two words: EPIC FAIL!

Now seriously who was the one who has this "briliant" idea? who dares to mess with one of my favorite anime? who screw this masterpiece?

Dragonball Evolution should called Dragonball: American Version, this crappy film has the same clichés of the teenagers films: the high school and the empty diaologues. The performances are SO BAD, Justin as Goku is a JOKE, Emmy Rossum doesn´t have that Bulma style and Chow Yun Fat as Roshi is so depressing. The special effects are the worst thing I´ve ever seen oh! and the fight scenes made me to commit suicide.

Please make yourself a favor and stay away of THE WORST MOVIE IN 2009.

Dead Like Me: Life After Death

*This is a review from a non-tvshow follower.

Dead Like Me: Life After Dead is a nice try for a Dvd-straight movie, the film´s story is original but a little predictable, also it has some clichés but nothing to be afraid of. The speccial effects are good and the movie moves in fast pace. The situations and that black humor make the movie more "friendly".

In the right hands Dead Like Me: Life After Death could be a great and interesting project, too bad the movie had a straight to Dvd relaese because the film has some much more potential.

Dark City
Dark City(1998)
½

Dissapointed, Dark City has the same visual style as seen in The Crow, a dark atmosphere full of special effects with a story about paranoia and all the stuffs.

Sorry, but this cult movie didnt catch my attention.

P.S Gotta love Jennifer Connelly in this film.

Friday the 13th

Yes, this new Jason (Derek Mears is stunning as this killer) is AMAZING, STRONGER, FASTER and INTELLIGENT, oh yes he hates sex, teenagers and drugs too.

But this new Friday the 13th isn´t different to the others movie of the series, is almost the same thing. A mix of all the slasher´s clichés in one movie, is like we put in a blender: Friday the 13th 1,2,3 and 4, the same script and empty characters, but hey! it´s Friday the 13th, the king of all the clichés!!!

Changeling
Changeling(2008)

Changeling is not only the typical drama movie pre-Oscar, Clint Eastwood´s film is much more than that, it´s a compelling, thrilling and heartwarming movie about a mother and her tireless search for the truth.

Everything in this movie is just perfect, from the direction, the set-decoration, the costume design, the edition to the performance where an only actress shines in all the film: Angelina Jolie gives one of the best performances in her entire career, she´s is brave and fearless and also the rest of the cast.

In Changeling you´re not only will find an acclamaid movie but a solid and honest film.

The Mask
The Mask(1994)

One of the best Jim Carrey´s role in one of the most funny movies in the lates 90. The Mask is a very different comedy film full of great jokes and amazing special effects, too bad the sequel sucks!

Lars and the Real Girl
½

This is not your typical movie about relationship, Lars and the Real Girl is a touching drama about a man and his "weird behavior", the concept is original and the screenplay is fantastic but for some reason the movie moves in a slow pace but that´s not a problem at all because you can enjoy somes great performances like Ryan Gosling and Emily Mortimer.

For the Bible Tells Me So

Yes the cover is kinda chessy, but don´t pay attention to it, one of the most acclaimed documentary is also one of the best documentary I´ve ever seen, it´s honest and powerfull,
For the Bible Tells Me So show in a very clever way the issues of homosexuality, homophobia and religion.

A must watch for everyone!

Babysitter Wanted
½

Want cliché? In this movie you will find a mix of all the annoying clichés of the genre: annoying music and stupid and predictibles jump scares, it´s more like a PG13 but wait it has some gory scenes but nothing remarkable. Oh and the twist! If you pay close attention to the details you will find out what the twist is.

Lost and Delirious
½

Another look to teens realtionship, this time in a way different side: a love story about two girls. Lost and Delirious is a well made movie with clever dialogues and nice performances.

An erotic film full of poetry and passion!!!

Martyrs
Martyrs(2008)

Finally we have something original in the horror genre. Martyrs has such a brilliant and original screenplay with a great acting and a great direction. This french is not as gore as Inside but in its way its more brutal and violent, the concept of the story bring us a really shoking scenes and one thing is for sure the make-up is perfect is one of the best make-up i´ve seen in this genre. Martyrs is a movie you may love or you may hate, its up to you, you just have to free your mind and enjoy the story, btw the end sequence is clever and mastefull.

Theres no doubt that Pascal Laugier has talent and he can do a good job in the Hellraiser reboot.

P.S French directors are INSANE!!!

Cassandra's Dream

Woody Allen delivers another thrilling film shoot in London but this movie is not as great as that masterpiece called Match Point.

Cassandra's Dream is a raw story about greed and morality, but the characters are too empty that we don´t care about them. Allen´s direction is so elegant and the edition is just like his previous film but the script is too weak that we can get bored.

Carrie
Carrie(1976)
½

Not as scary as I thought it would be but it´s a TRUE CLASSIC HORROR FILM. Sissy Spacek is beautiful and weird and Brian DePalma direction is almost perfect it´s like a tribute to Stephen King´s book.

Brokeback Mountain
½

The movie is great it shows the love between two people, the performance by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are excellent. The direction is great and the photography is beautifull probably the best photography work that I´ve seen, and the music from Gustavo Santaolalla makes a good complement to the movie.

Australia
Australia(2008)

This is how an epic movie should be made. Baz Luhrmann´s Australia is a gorgeus film with a really intese visual style, a beautiful photography and an enchanting music, this love story has all the clichés that ypu can find in this type of movie, but who cares about clichés? The love itself is a cliché.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman has a really strong chemestry.

An American Werewolf in London
½

An American Werewolf in London is probably one of the best werewolf movie, the film is not only worhty for its special effects and make up because John Landi´s film has a really great story and a fast development.

Amélie
Amélie(2001)
½

Nice story, nice visual style and Audrey Tautou as Amelie is just charming, but this film is a little overrated or perhaps is not my type of movie.

Alien Resurrection
½

The death of an amazing saga....

Alien3
Alien3(1992)

I believe in you David, I know it wasn´t your fault, it was that fucking and evil studio called Fox who forced you to screw the serie.

Alice, Sweet Alice (Communion)

A nice and very different slasher film, Alice, Sweet Alice (Communion) is a very interesting psicological thriller filled with tenses scenes and a pretty weird ending.

28 Days Later

28 Days Later is a great example of how the horror has evolved, this is not about gore and blood is more like an political allegory.

Friday the 13th, Part V - A New Beginning

In this part we can see how the writer, director and proucers were running out of ideas. This should be another name because this is not a Friday the 13th film.

2:37
2:37(2006)

An interesting experiment, a honest vision of being a teenager which shows in differents perspectives the difficult lifes of some students.

Wanted
Wanted(2008)

An enterteining blockbuster, Wanted is a non-stop action movie with great special effects, it´s based on a comic so don´t take it so seriously.

Hannah and Her Sisters

An Ok Woody Allen´s film, Hannah and Her Sisters is my less favorite film from Woody Allens career, but it´s worth of watch because it has all the common things you can find in a Woody´s film like good diaoligues, great performances and a amazing story.

Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter
½

Jason really hates horny teenagers.

Friday the 13th - The Final Chapter is the same boring things that we saw in the last installments, all the clichés mixed in this movie. The characters are so anoying.

When Harry Met Sally

One of the best romantic films ever made, When Harry Met Sally feels like a Woody Allen movie because of the situations, the characters and the excellent screenplay and dialogues. Meg Ryan is amazing as Sally and Billy Cristal did a great job as Harry.

Must watch!!!

Sleepless in Seattle
½

Not your typical chick-flick, Sleepless in Seattle is a way different romantic film, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan has a powerful chemestry even when they´re not together in the film til the end.

Friday the 13th Part 3

It starts excatly where the second part ended, Friday the 13th Part 3 is your typical slasher film, it has sex, drugs, serial killer and some amazing deaths. Its goriest than the other installements, but it´s not a great film.

Quarantine
Quarantine(2008)
½

A really good remake of the spanish hit REC.

Quarantine has the same elements of the original movie but also it try to be "original", we can see that in a few scenes and in the last 15 minutes of the film too.

A film only made for that people who hates read subtitles or watch dubbed films. LOL.

Ten Inch Hero

A surprising film, Ten Inch Hero is not what you think it is, it´s not another stupid teen flick, is more like a drama, a very touching drama.

Worth of watch.

Choke
Choke(2008)

Intertesting film with incredibles characters and with an incredible performances. It also has a really good twist but is not as funny as I thought, Choke is like a drama.

Religulous
Religulous(2008)

Everybody MUST watch this!!!!

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Really funny film, Zack and Miri Make a Porno is probably one of the best comedy of the 2008, it has humor, love and a lot of kinky scenes.

Worth watching.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona
½

Another unusual movie from the great Woody Allen and the end of what I called "The Scarlett Johansson Trilogy".

Vicky Cristina Barcelona is such a funny drama/romantic/comedy film. Penelope Cruz is just PERFECT in her role, her character is just psychotic, insane, smart and funny.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
½

One of the most original screenplay I've ever seen, the story is great, it shows us a company that can erase memory, can erase that part of the memory you never liked it, making a travel through your brain. The visual style of the movie is also original and the cast is good. Great performance by Jim Carrey.

Keith

Absolutely BORING....

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People
½

This is like a male version of The Devils Wears Prada, oh yes, this films has some funny scenes but at the end it´s so predictible and kinda boring.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
½

Another MASTERPIECE from that underrated director called DAVID FINCHER.

The Curious Case of Benajmin Button is a wonderfull, with an amazing cast that include; Brad Pitt with his best performance to date and Cate Blanchett an amazing actress, she´s always shining in the whole movie.

David Fincher is GOD. This film is epic, beautifull and heartwarming. The CGI effects are just PERFECT and the make up is stunning.

Addicted
Addicted(2002)

Like most of asian movies, this film moves at slow pace, yes, it´s thrilling at times, and has a creepy story BUT the twist it´s not surprising.

Dogville
Dogville(2003)

Once again Lars Von Trier show us the raw behavior of people. Dogville has one of the most courageous style, Trier use the "play style" to tell this great story.

If you want to experiment a different style, Dogville is your film.

P.S Nicole Kidman´s performance is just perfect.

The Alphabet Killer
½

Why is it rated R? It could be a simple PG-13, The Alphabet Killer is just another boring movie about the hunting of a serial killer, anyways Eliza Dushku is fantastic but I thought that I was watching another True Calling episode.

Twilight
Twilight(2008)

An impossible love story with all the commons clichés of the genre. Twilight is not the best vampire movie, the story is pretty simple and predictible, there´s no action escenes, the special effects are awfull and the edition is so simple, well, basically a chick flick, that´s why you will find a lot of teenagers girls on the theater.

Garden Party
Garden Party(2008)

An interesting indie flick, Garden Party has some really good performances and a funny and real story. The movie has some flaws, but it´s worth of watch.

Man on Wire
Man on Wire(2008)
½

The journey of a man and his pursuit of his dream. Man On Wire is a documentary that show us that we can do anything we want.

The Crow
The Crow(1994)
½

A remarkable film with a very delightfull visual style, The Crow is a good revenge-film that has become a classic because the last and great performance by Brandon Lee.

Too bad the remake is coming....

10 Things I Hate About You

Just another chick-flick, very predictible but entertaining.

The Fall of the House of Usher

Well, I´m not so much into classics films, I just think that House of Usher is an interesting and well made haunted-house film.

If you like classics, you must watch it.

Noroi the Curse

The Blair Witch Project+Ju-On= Noroi.

Noroi the Curse is not as scary as a lot of people said, is just the typical "camera-on-shoulder" movie with an interesting story and thrilling scenes. The best part in the whole movie was the ending, is just perfect.

Halloween II
Halloween II(1981)

Not the best sequel, but it´s Jamie Lee Curtis is fascinating, one of the best Scream Queens.

Friday the 13th Part 2
½

Much better than the first part.

Resident Evil: Degeneration

This is a real RESIDENT EVIL movie, too bad that a CGI film is better than the live actions adaptation.

A must watch for all the videogame´s fans.

Cashback
Cashback(2007)
½

Director Sean Ellis create a beautiful visual style that is just perfect for this weird movie but unfortunately the movie is too pretentious for its own good.

Quantum of Solace

It´s not as orgasmic and brilliant as Casino Royale, this sequel is more action and less story that´s not bad, but I didn´t feel the characters, anyways, Daniel Craig performances is amazing.

Los Cronocrímenes (Timecrimes)
½

Just one advice: Don´t try to find an answer to this movie, because you will figure it out.

Enjoy the suspensefull story!

Girl With a Pearl Earring
½

I´m not a big fan of this kind of films, but I can´t resist to any movie with Scarlett Johansson?

Girl With a Pearl Earring is probably one of the best performance by ScarJo. Great cinematography and interesting story.

Donkey Punch
Donkey Punch(2008)

Boring and predictible film, those words can describe this simple film. Donkey Punch has a weak plot, with all the common clichés.

Please do not waste your time in this film.

Mirrors
Mirrors(2008)

Mirrors was a really big dissapointment, well at least is a good remake but that doesn´t mean that this is a great movie. The plot is so weak and there was no tension just a lot of predictible "jump scare" moments, the performances are good and the special effects are just brilliant, the only one scene that I really loved was the jaw rip.

Alex Aja should never have left France, please go back and search for an inspiration to create something like Haute Tension.

Begotten
Begotten(1989)

A weird film with some disturbing scenes that reminds me Silent Hill (the videogame). This is one of the most surreal films I´ve ever seen.

A cult classic!!!

Battle in Seattle

A surprising first film from actor and now director Stuart Townsend, Battle in Seattle is a sad and well done film based on true event, the movie mixed real footage with some fictional characters.

Worth of watch!

Furia
Furia(2000)

The first Alex Aja´s film is also a very different film of his filmography, this is not your typical Alex Aja film with blood and gore this is a romantic/science fiction film in the same vein of V of Vendetta.

Let the Right One In
½

For those who thinks this is horror this is going to be a big surprise because it´s more a human drama than a bloody and gory films.

Better check it by yourself, but watch it before the remake!!!

Eden Lake
Eden Lake(2008)

A thrilling and violent film, that shows the violence like it is. Eden Lake is a cruel but honest portrait of the society, wich use violence x violence.

It´s in the same vein of films like Iils, The Strangers and Funny Games.

Crash
Crash(1996)
½

Is too sad to see how a such a good story is wasted. Crash is an interesting experiment, but it failed, because the films turns so boring.

Pink Flamingos
½

One of the most disturbing and nasty films I´ve ever seen, but also is one of the funniest. Pink Flamingos has some really bad performances and a bad edition, but that´s waht it makes this films so enjoyable. Divine is such a character!!!

4bia (Phobia)

An average horror anthology, See Prang a.k.a Phobia is a collection of 4 short stories from some thais directors so in this movie will see the typical thai´s stories like ghost and black magic.

My favorite: Hapiness and In The Middle.

4bia (See prang)(Phobia)

An average horror anthology, See Prang a.k.a Phobia is a collection of 4 short stories from some thais directors so in this movie will see the typical thai´s stories like ghost and black magic.

My favorite: Hapiness and In The Middle.

Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County

The father of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. A good story but the film it´s too chessy.

If you enjoy fake-documentary movies, you may like this film.

The Fly
The Fly(1986)

Disturbing, disgusting and twisted.

One of the best films of 80´s.

The Innocents

The Innocents isn´t "another dumb ghost story flick", this classic has a clever story and a beautifull cinematography, Deborah Kerr is brilliant and the childrens are very creepy.

If you like horror classic film, you will love The Innocents.

Hancock
Hancock(2008)
½

Two things are for sure in Hancocok: firstable Charlize Theron is fucking gorgeus and the other thing is that this could be one of the most boring superhero film I´ve ever seen.

Caché
Caché(2005)
½

People who know Michael Haneke must know that all his movies are a little pretentious and most of them are a critic to the society and the media (ex. Funny Games).

Cache (Hidden) isn´t the exception, the film moves at slow pace and has some "holy-shit" scene that may let you breathless, all the camerawork and the cinematography is perfect, but the movie is too long and may bore you and the only thing you can do is be patient and witness the events.

The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things
½

The heart is deceitful above all things , and desperately wicked: who can know it?

This film directed by Asia Argento, who gives a great performance, is a little bit difficul to follow because we witness the psychological destruction of a child, and the director show us some really strong scenes.

A worth of watch!

The Last House on the Left

Yep, it´s disturbing and has some creepy scenes but that´s all, I mean, is just another revenge movie, I was expecting something more brutal...

The Hills Have Eyes
½

Ok, this movie needed a re-watch. Who sayd that there´s no exist a good remake? well let me tell you that Alex Aja broke that rules and took Wes Craven´s film to transform it into an absolutely horror film with more blood, more gore and of course, more violence.

The Hills Have Eyes Remake is much better than the original, if you don´t believe me, go and watch both at the same time...

The Hills Have Eyes

Not the best Wes Craven film, but at least its plot is a little different, thought.

Aliens
Aliens(1986)
½

What we have here? An excellent sequel of Riddley Scott´s Alien, in this part James Cameron keep the great work of the original and add some great actions scenes. A great combination of horror and science fiction!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

A surprisingly good comedy, a very different romantic film without the typical clichés of the genre. Jason Segel is AMAZING as peter, his character is ridiculous good and Russell Brand is just funny as hell.

A worth of watch!

Alien
Alien(1979)
½

A great achiviement for the sciencie fiction genre, Alien combines the action and horror.

Hands down, a classic!!!!

El Rey de la montaña (King of the Hill)
½

Another great production form Spain, El Rey de la montaña (King of the Hill) mix all the the classic elements of the genre to show us a new perspective of the survival films, the way the film was shooted is fantastic.

A worth of watch.

Dirty Pretty Things

An impressive Thriller about weirds bussiness, Audrey Tautou and Chiwetel Ejiofor delivers a great performances. The Script is incredible clever.

Sherrybaby
Sherrybaby(2006)
½

Maggie Gyllenhaal delivers an outstanding performance, too bad no one realize of her amazing work in this film. Sherrybaby is a very human movie, yes it has its flaws, but the story and Maggie performances makes this film watchable.

Stuck
Stuck(2008)
½

Stuck is an interesting thriller based on real events, this independient film is a worth of watch, in it we can see how some situations can affect our thoughts.

Calvaire (The Ordeal)
½

This movies seems like a remake of Misery then it turns like TCM with an awful ending.

Calvaire is a slow movie, you have to be patience but in the last minutes of the film we are the witness of some shoking scenes.

I couldn´t recommend this movie beacuse I think it could be greater too bad that the execution is too poor.

The Strangers

The Strangers was a really dissapointed, I was expecting something more, more violence, like Funny Games or Inside (ok, that´s too much for a directorial debut of Bryan), this films has a good atmosphere and some thrilling scenes, but that´s all is just another home invasion film with its typical clichés; people hiding, screaming and crying inside a house.

Geoul sokeuro (Into the Mirror)

A good korean movie, the story is interesting and the idea of the worlds in the mirrors is great but I the movie has some flaws, anyways the final twist just saved the movie. I only hope that Alexandre Aja make a great remake and maybe better than the original, I know he can.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster*

A great documentary about the use and abuse of the steroids in the american society.

I really liked this one becuase is not about just numbers and stuffs like that, it´s about the hypocrisy and the double standard of the society and it doesn´t show the typical american hero, it shows a human hero, humans with flaws.

Nae yeojachingureul sogae habnida (Windstruck)

A really good Korean romantic film. This film is divided in two part; the first part was more comedy and romantic film and the second one was just like a drama and action flick.

Ji-hyun Jun is fantastic in this film and the director make an excellent work. Hollywood MUST learn how to make a great romantic film.

PLEASE DON´T TRY TO REMAKE THIS, I´m still in shock with My Sassy Girl Remake.

Películas para No Dormir: La Habitación del Niño (Films to Keep You Awake: The Baby's Room)

An interesting supernatural movie. La Habitación del Niño (The Baby's Room) is just like that typical haunted houses movies with a little of ghost story, I couldn´t stop thinking about films like The Amityville Horror or At The End of the Spectra.

My Sassy Girl
½

Bad, bad, bad, a really REALLY bad remake. What was Yann Samuell thinking? The film has a pretty visual style, is just like a french movie, obviously the director is from France. That´s the only good thing in this remake.

Elisha Cuthbert is georgeus but she´s not like Ji-hyun Jun and her characters is different too, is not dramatic, is not funny, is not rude.... Jesse is Ok, but he fails too.

OMG the directors delete some dramatic and funny scenes from the original film, and he even adds another unnecessary character.

Another Hollywood BIG FAIL remake. Seriously, if you wanna watch a great romantic and dramatic movie better watch the original korean film Yeopgijeogin Geunyeo (My Sassy Girl).

Love Me if You Dare
½

A wicked and weird love story, Jeux d'enfants has a beautifull visual style, the typical style of romantic french´s film.

The story is just twisted and the ending is just perfect.

Away From Her

Away From Her is Sarah Polley´s directorial debut, this film is about a man trying to take care of his wife, who has Alzheimer's disease. The movie has some heart wrenching scenes and a really good script, but I think that this movie could be better, I mean, maybe with more feelings.

Yes, Julie Christie is awesome, her performance was brilliant and Gordon Pinsent did a really good job too. Awy From Her could be great, but you know, it´s Sarah Polley first movie, let´s give her another chance, we know she can.

Oldboy
Oldboy(2005)

Some people called this movie is A Masterpices, others said this movis is Powerfull, and I said Overrated.

Yes, yes this is a good film with a great script, great performances, specially by Min-sik Choi, and the Excellent direction by Chan-wook Park, and has some really good actions and bloody scenes...

But what was the problem? the main problem with Oldboy is that this film didn´t caught me, I didn´t feel the characters. The twist ending? yes it was unexpected but what I loved was its ambiguous ending.

Yeopgijeogin geunyeo (My Sassy Girl)
½

A great example of how to make a great romantic comedy. My Sassy Girl is funny and sad, it has some interesting characters and story with an unexpected twist.

Recommended for people who enjoy loves stories.

Deception
Deception(2008)

It´s not the kind of movie I was hoping to watch, I was expecting a more thrilling and complex story, instead of that we have romance. Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor and Michelle Williams did a a decent job.

Btw Are you free tonight?

Heavenly Creatures
½

What a movie!!! Peter Jackson make film full of feelings with an incredible scripts, beautiful characters and a awesome visual style. Heavenly Creatures was the first Kate Winslet´s performance and she did an amazing work.

The film is about magic, friendship and madness.

Dead Alive
Dead Alive(1993)
½

An amazing GOREFEST, Dead Alive (Braindead) is a great comedy/horror movie with an excellent direction and "beautifull" special effects.

A Recommended film for all gore lovers.

Young People Fucking (Y.P.F.)
½

Not the best sex comedy I´ve ever seen but Y.P.F has some really funny situations and kept me interesting in the whole movie.

Baby Blues (Cradle Will Fall)
½

Is really hard to watch Baby Blues because of the issue and some scenes, the films seems like an american slasher but instead of the stupids teenager we have kids. The tension and suspense ius great and the movie moves so fast, the performances are good but my favorite was Colleen Porch´s character she did a good job as the psycho mom.

A worth of watch.

Rebecca
Rebecca(1940)

I´m not a classic lover, but I have to say that I enjoy how the director do more with less and now some directors do less with more, anyways Rebecca is great suspense movie with a good atmosphere, excellents performances and brilliant direction.

Gotta love Judith Anderson in this movie.....

Cube Zero
Cube Zero(2004)

Not as good as the original, but at least is better than that shitty called Cube 2:Hypercube. This film explain the origins about the Cube but I´m pretty sure that no one would like to know about that.

Cube 2 - Hypercube

A really bad sequel, this is not like the original, Cube 2 is one of the boriest films I have ever seen, the characters are not as interesting as the original.

This is CRAP!!!

Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III
½

Not as good as the original, and leatherface is not scary anymore althought he has a new chainsaw.

Fried Green Tomatoes

A heartwarming film with amazing performances, Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy what a mix of actress. I liked the way that one story is within another story and the way that the main character (Kathy Bates) changes through the whole movie.

Highly recommended.

Cube

Cube is Saw´s father, this film is full of tension escenes and a very interesting story with complex character and a reallly good climax, a worth of watch for any genre lover.

Well, it´s a classic, a great suspense movie with an amazing soundtrack and brilliant direction.

The Usual Suspects
½

OVERRATED, BORING and WITH AN EXPECTED ENDING.

Sleepaway Camp
½

A typical 80´s slasher film, but Sleepaway Camp is much better than Friday the 13th. This film has some really good death scenes and much more suspense. The characters are pretty good for example Aunt Martha and obviously the end and disturbing twist scenes is just memorable.

Worth of watch.

Following
Following(1999)

Not onw of the best Nolan movie but this film is good and has a really interesting story with a really good noir style.

Transsiberian

Pretty good film from one of the new master of suspense Brad Anderson. Transsiberian is a great film with a good story, predictible at times, but enjoyable.

The movie will keep you at the edge to your seat from the begining ´till the end. This movie proves that Brad Anderson is one of the most underrated director in the cinema world.

Session 9
Session 9(2001)

This is a good example of how and psychological horror MUST be. Session 9 delivers one of the best atmosphere ever made, yes, Brad Anderson knows how to handles this topic, if You don´t believe me go and watch The Machinist.

The story is GREAT and the movie is so slow but it worth because the end is just perfect, the performances are good and the characters are well done.

Session 9 is about FEAR and MADNESS.

Secret Window

I love twists, that was the only reason for me to watch the movie, but at the end the twist was dissapointed and there´s nothing new in it.

It´s just an ok movie.

There Will Be Blood

THE BEST FILM OF 2007!!!

I don´t know what to say ´cause everythings has been told before, but personally I think that There Will Be Blood is much better than No Country for Old Men.

Primal Fear
Primal Fear(1996)
½

Good countroom movie, with a clever script and the great performance by Edward Norton, but I was expecting something more from the movie, but it was a good option to kill the time.

Primal Fear´s twist was unexpected and the mocie was worth of watch.

I'm Not There

The main problem with I´M NOT THERE is thattha movie only works for Bob Dylan fans or people who likes his music, becuase someone like me an ignorant, wouldn´t like this film.

I´M NOT THERE has an amazing cast, is good to see Christian Bale and Heath Ledger together in a film again, their performances are good but Cate Blanchett is AMAZING!!!.

The story is good but so boring at times.

I would only recommend this film only if you are a fan aof Bob Dylan or if you like his music, but if that´s not your case you may boring.

Magnolia

Superb direction by the underrated PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON.

A MUST WATCH !!!

The Quiet
The Quiet(2006)
½

Personally I loved the beginning of the film and the climax but I hate the "twist", I mean that twist was unnecesary.

Camilla Belle did a really good performances, the characters and the story was so good untill the twist began.

Rovdyr (Backwoods)

What a lack of originality!!! Basically is like a Norway remake from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

This movie has all the clichés and the typical characters of the survival movies, the characters are poor, the script sucks and the direction is good, the only good thing from this film are the great gore effects.

If you don´t wanna waste your time, avoid this film.

The Ruins
The Ruins(2008)
½

It´s not the most original film I´ve ever seen but this movie is enjoyable, the performances are good and has some great gore escenes. Besides this is not another stupid remake but it´s an adaptation of a book I haven´t read yet.

Boogie Nights
½

Amazing film! Boogie Nights has everything; great story, great characters, superb direction and a perfect soundtrack.

Oh man, Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, Don Cheadle and Burt Reynolds was just PERFECT!!!!

Paul Thomas Anderson is the man a talented director.

Art of the Devil 3

Another unnecesary sequel of a regular film.

Long Khong 2 is a prequel of the thai horror film called Long Khong. This film is a completely waste of time, the story is boring and the performance are really lame, but the film has some really disgusting and gore scenes, but nothing different from the first film.

Long Khong 2 is a low budget movie with a poor story and a couple of good gore scenes but that´s all.

My recommendation: Don´t waste your short life watching this crap, but if you have some strange fetishism watching thai people suffering maybe you could stand this film.

Funny Games
Funny Games(2008)
½

Michael Haneke is such a genious, he sells us the same movie but with different actors and different language, is like if he had used the copy-paste command. Well, if he did the same with his movie, I can do the same with my review:

Maybe this isn´t my type of movie, I men this movie start so slow and it´s not brutal and bloody like other people say.

Funny Games is pretentious and try to impress but not, it doesn´t. The movie has one of two cruel scenes but that´s all.

The best thing in whole the movie is the story and how it makes you a witness of the cruelty.

Funny Games

Empire of the Sun

Let me start saying that Spielberg is not my tipe, I mean the guy is a great director but al lot of his films seems pretty boring to me, an Empier of the Sun isn´t the exception.

The only reason for me to watch this film was Christian Bale, and he was AMAZING he´s such a great actor, the little Bale was the best thing in the whole movie, because the rest of this film is boring and predictable.

Definitely not my cup of tea.

The Host
The Host(2007)

Well, its not the masterpiece, but it´s a good monster movie with great CGI and a good message, that´s all....

Match Point
Match Point(2005)
½

I agree with the movie: "I´d rather be lucky than good". This is a movie about luck, obsession, passion and temptation, the movie may seem slow but it´s worth to see. With great performance by Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

Match Point is my favorite Woody Allen film. This movie is just a perfect drama with an unexpected and different ending.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
½

A Cult Classic!!!! The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a good horror movie and Leatherface is my favorite horror icon but I think I liked the remake.

I always wanted to watch thy movie because all the hype of how shoking, brutal and disgussting this movie was, but I´m a little dissapointed maybe this movie was shoking foe its time but now not.

This movie has some overacted performance and a good atmosphere with an interesting story, but the best thing of this movie was Leatherface, I love that psycho!!!! he´s creepy, silly and violent.

A worth of watch, a classic horror movie!!!

Prom Night
Prom Night(2008)

If the remake was lame, you can imagine now how this film is.... a completely awful movie!!!

This is not a remake of the 1980 film Prom Night, this is like a sequel a very stupid sequel. The story is poor and ridicolous, in the film we see a bucn of teenager talking about stupid thigs in the whole movie.

What a lack of suspense!!!! this film has not thriller, scary or suspense moments and the most important it has not gore, at least the original film was rated R but this, this is a PG-13, WTF????

Why to remake a movie if it will be worst than the original?

Prom Night
Prom Night(1980)

Prom Night is a very lame slasher film, this movie has all the clichés and the typical situations for this kind of films, but most of the scenes are pretty boring.

Jamie Lee Curtis did a great job, theres no doubt she´s one of the best scream queen of all the time.

If this is the original, I can´t imagine how will be the remake, I know I´m a masochist in movie matters...

Last Life in the Universe

Last Life in the Universe delivers a pretty interesting story about a frustrared suicide man. But my problem with this movie and like all asian movies is just that this movie is so slow and boring at times. A little more of intensity in some scenes could be good.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
½

A typical slasher movie with all the clichés in this genre but with a different ending, a twist ending.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane has a typical story from a slasher film, I mean teenager, drugs, sex and a psycho but with a differente style.

The cinematograpy and the visual style are amazing as well the editiion and the soundtrack. The performance are good and the direction make the movie looks a little bit different.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is a good option of a horror movie, it may seems the same horror product, but it doesn´t, you just have to pay close attention in the last minutes of the film.

Sick Nurses (Suay Laak Sai)

Well, I´m starting to get tired of vengeful ghost with long black hair, thats ridicoulous!!!! I wasn´t scare I was boring the whole movie.

Sick Nurses has a pathetic and stupid story, that tries to scare but instead to scare U it makes U feel sleepy.

The main actress were overacted, and her characters were stupid, annoying and useless.

The scenes and the blood were good but not so great and the end was simply stupid.

If you wanna get boring this is your movie, if you are trying to get sleep I´m sure U may trying to watch this but if U want to watch a great horror movie YOU BETTER AVOID THIS otherwise YOU WILL REGRET...

Rogue
Rogue(2008)
½

Pretty good "dangerous animal" movie. Rogue has a typical plot for this kind of movie, well a group of tourist try to escape to their encounters to a man-eating crocodile.

Greg McLean does a really great job, his direction is really good and the photograpy is satisfiying. The music score is great and the CGI is fantastic, this is the best cocodrile movie I´ve seen,

The performance are really good, Radha Mitchell and Michael Vartan did a great job, and the rest of actors fits in their character.

Rogue is a highly recommended movie and you will enjoy this film if you like movies about dangerous animal.

L: Change the World

This is a great example of how to waste an interesting character.

L Change The World, is a spin off to Death Note, in this film we watch how L is recruited to save humanity from a deadly virus . This film is so different to Death Note because it doesn´t have any suspense and the story is so predictable and boring.

Two Thumbs Up to Ken'ichi Matsuyama´s performance.

Two Thumbs Down to the whole movie!!!

Frailty
Frailty(2002)

A really good flick with an interesting story and a really good twist. I´m alway being interesting in stories about religious fanatic, I find that subject so disturbing.

Matthew McConaughey did a great performance, and guess what? he isn´t shirtless.

A worth of watch!

Death Note: The Last Name (Desu nôto 2)
½

Picking up where the first one leaves off, this second part is much better than the first one. Death Note: Last Name is more thrilling, has goods performances and has a few of really good twist.

A worth of watch.

Death Note (Desu nôto) (TV SHOW)

Death Note is based on the manga/anime, whisch I haven´t read/watched yet. So I´m not going to compare the three versions.

Death Note has an incredible and original story, where a young man has the power to kill anyone he wants to die just by putting a name of his book, called Death Note.

The film has a lot of suspenses moments and it´s very entertaining. The cast has some good performances and the Shinigami´s design is fantastic.

Death Note is great movie with a clever story and a good message at the end of the film.

Kids
Kids(1995)

This is so disturbing. If this is our future so we are completely LOST.

The Dark Knight

Let me start saying that this movie is EPIC.

The Dark Knight is not the typical superhero movies. This film brings some air of a classic movie. The story is great and Nolan bring some realistic scenes to the film.

The cast is just AMAZING. Heath Ledger is a GOD and his performance as The Joker, he makes that the character looks SADISTIC, PSYCOTHIC and SCARY, and is THE BEST VILLIAN, Jack Nicholson looks ridicoulos in front of him. Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman is GREAT, definitely he´s THE BEST SUPERHERO, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney look like amateurs in front of Bale. Gary Oldman, Michael Cane and Morgan Freeman are perfect as their respectives characters. Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes was an Excellent alternative, she brings that strenght that the character needed, unlike Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart was GREAT as Harvey Dent, and his transform into two face was PRICELESS.

Christopher Nolan is the man, he´s one of the BEST DIRECTORS in film history, he may teach to Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher how to make a superhero film. His direction is fantastic and the script written by his brother and David S.Goyer is EXCELLENT. James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer did a great job with movie´s soundtrack.

No words can describe such amazing movie, THE DARK KNIGHT IS A MASTERPIECE, ONE OF THE BEST FILM EVER MADE:

This movie deserves more than one nomination in the academy awards.

Candy
Candy(2006)

Candy is a good love story that deals with drugs addictions problem. The story is divided in three parts: Heaven, Earth and Hell, in each part we can see how that relationship is affected by the drugs problem.

Heath Ledger did a great performance and could make a great character, a really strong character. Abbie Cornish as Candy did a really great performance too, she transmited the pain of her character.

Candy is a good love story, this film reminds me of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM. If you loved Darren Aronofsky's film you will like Candy.

The Other Boleyn Girl
½

Greats costumes, great pjotograph, great set design, great performance by Natalie Portman, good performance by Scarlett Johansson and Eric Bana.

The Other Boleyn Girl has a good story but with the movie become so slow and boring.

The Nanny Diaries
½

The Nanny Diaries is just a good movie with an interesting point of view of the high society mixed with antropology.

Scarlett Johannsson did a good job a Annie (Annie - Nannie), a recent college graduate and her search for her purpose of her life, the villian in this movie could be Laura Linney in a character like Meryl´s Streep in Devils Wears Prada, her perfomance is clever.

The Nanny Diaries is a good radiography of hig society and its behavioir.

The worst: Chris Evans weak performances.

The Best: A clever story with a good editing.

Gossip
Gossip(1999)

It´s a shame how a good story is wasted because a bad development. The main problem in Gossip is that the situations are so predictible and doesn´t make you think.

[Rec]
[Rec](2007)

The Blair Witch Project meets 28 Days Later, that´s Rec, but in spanish.

The film has some scary scenes but some are so predectibles. The way that the movie was shoted was perfect because it gives a stresfull atmosphere. Manuela Velasco gives a great peroformnce as Angela.

[Rec] is a great spanish horror movie, the film delivers a great atmosphere and a few scary scenes, the direction is good and also the script, the performances was so credible and gives a touch of reality to the film, [Rec] gets the intensity of a great horror movie just in the last minutes, whichs are so scary and suspenfull.

Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem

Interstella 5555 - The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem is just a collection of all Daft Punk´s video from the album Discovery.

The film has some good animations, I felt like watching a good anime. In this movies there´s no dialogues, it´s just the Daft Punk music that tell us and story, a good story but with a bad twist.

Electroma
Electroma(2006)

One of the weirdest movie I have ever seen. This movie has no dialogues, just silence and sometimes a little bit of music. A movie just for freaks.

Batman Gotham Knight

An anime film inspired in Batman, that show us the path from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight.

This film is divided in six shorts story created by differents directors.

1. Have I Got a Story For You: 3.0/5.0
My less favorite short film. In this story we can see the different opinions of a few boys about Batman. This one has some poor animations and a poor story.

2. Crossfire: 4.5/5.0
One of the best short film in this animated movie, it has the same style like Batman Begins.

3. Field Test: 4.5/5.0
Another incredible short film with an anime style character.

4. In Darkness Dwells: 4.0/5.0
A great story with a good animations and the Scarecrow character.

5. Working through pain: 4.0/5.0
A short film about the journey of Bruce Wayne to control his pain.

6. Deadshot: 5.0/5.0
The final short film and the best of all. This one shows a battle of Batman against an enemy called Deadshot.

Fantastic Four
½

A movie full of bad jokes.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is not fantastic, the story is poor and the dialogues are a little silly, the best thing in the movie was the special effects; these are incredibles, and the little cameo by Stan Lee. This movie should call Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver: The Comedy. This movie could become The worst comic adaptation with GHOST RIDER.

The Good Girl
½

A very good film, is a shame it´s so UNDERRATED. The story is fresh, touching, dramatic and comic. This is the BEST PERFORMANCE by Jennifer Aniston to date, Jake Gyllenhall was amazing too and John C Really was surprising good in the film.

A worth of watch!

Pink Floyd - The Wall
½

Batman & Robin

George Clooney is the WORST Batman, and Joel Schumacher is a really bad director.... thanks god we have Nolan.

WALL-E(2008)

The best movie from Pixar studio to date, this is pure enterteinment mixed with an amazing story, excellents CGI, great characters and a critic to our society.

One of the best film of 2008.

Batman Returns
½

was it a comedy? This was so hilarious, I don´t like Michael Keaton Like Bruce/Batman, Danny DeVito was good as the penguin but Michelle Pfeiffer was perfect, she´s the best character in whole the movie. Tim Burton did a good job but Batman Returns is too gothic and irreal for me.

Stay Alive
Stay Alive(2006)

I don´t know why I watched this movie, the plot, the characters and the dialogues SUCKS. I thought that it would be better but I get wrong.

Mysterious Skin

A really powerfull and disturbing film about friendship and child abuse, Joeseph Gordon-Levitt made a great performance.

A worth of watch.

Three...Extremes (Saam gaang yi)

A great movie with three diferent short films, I liked Dumplings and Cut but Box was a little weird and so slow, but Box isn´t the worst of all is just the more different than the others shorst films.

The Rules of Attraction

Great story, great edition, great soundtrack, great scenes and greats performances, but I was expecting more of those scenes, you know what I mean....

Candyman
Candyman(1992)

I have to say this: A total dissapointed, i thought it would be good but it wasn´t. The film is so slow, and I didn´t feel the characters and I though Candyman would be scary but he wasn´t.

Yes, it´s a very different slasher movie but that doesn´t make it the best slasher movie.

Scream
Scream(1996)

A great thriller, the movie is a parody of the slashers film with all the clichés.

Groundhog Day

Amazing Bill Murray and great movie with a really interesting story.

"What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same, and nothing that you did mattered? "

The 40 Year Old Virgin

I´m not a big fan of comedies movies, but this one make me laught. Its funny and entertaining. Steve Carell made a good performance.

The Incredible Hulk

Well, it´s better than the first one, but the characters aren´t deeper as Ang Lee´s movie. Edward Norton is great as Bruce Banner but I didn´t feel Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, I would rather Jennifer Connelly.

Good action sequences, good CGI effects, and yes It´s a blockbuster but it´s entertaining.

Career Opportunities
½

The film is just so boring and with a ridicolous plot but Jennifer Connelly made the film watchable.

My favorite scene: Jennifer Connelly riding the kiddy horse.

Hellraiser: Hellworld
½

Not as good as the original....

Hellraiser
Hellraiser(1987)

One of the best horror movies all of time. Hellraiser has an original story with a great direction and good performances. The gore and blood effects are really cool and the monster are disturbing and creepy.

Friday the 13th

It´s not scary as I thought, but still it´s a horror classic, with the typical 70´s horror clichés like bad performances and bad dialogues. It´s a total dissapointed A nightmare on Elm Street it´s ten times better.i

Batman
Batman(1989)

Not the best superhero movie, but it has somes interesting scenes. Michael Keaton is good as batman and Jack Nicholson is good as joker but not outstanding like I thought it would be.

Definitely I don´t like Tim Burton´s style.

The Happening

This is can´t be happening.

The Happening was really dissapointed. M. Night Shyamalan fails again but he has talent and we can see his talent in the movie, his great camerawork and some cool scenes, but the story was really weak. The performances are really poor, Zooey Deschanel was a bad option. I don´t know why it´s rated R, I´ve seen a lot of gore and better than the scenes in this movie.

I don´t know what´s happening with him, I think that Shyamalan should stop writting his movie and instead he can direct someone else stories.

Saved!
Saved!(2004)

A worth of watch.

Cruel Intentions 2

A really bad sequel, it even has the original cast, the story is boring and it doesn´t have to be compare with the original.

An American Crime
½

Another adaptation based on the murder of Sylvia Likens, the difference between this film with The Girl Next Door is that An American Crime is less explicit and more dramatic. Ellen Page and Catherine Keener were amazing in their roles.

Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door

A very disturbing film based on true events, the film is based on true events. the Girl Next Door is a thrilling movie with some
really good performances, a worth of watch.

The Bridge
The Bridge(2006)

lady in the water is probably the weakest movie in Shyalaman´s filmography. This silm has a good story is like a bedtime to watch before sleep. I liked the message.

The Village
The Village(2004)
½

The main problem with the village was that people just thought that the movie was horror, but it doesn´t. The film is just like a critic to the society and it has a perfect ending with a good twist. No matter what the people said, I liked The Village.

A worth of watch, every human being MUST watch this film.

Awake
Awake(2007)

A good B movie, with some cools scenes, but nothing more. I´m just waiting for Alexandre Aja´s remake.

Halloween
Halloween(1978)

A great horror flick, the film has some really good scenes with an excellent atmosphere and one of the best horror icons ever made. Carpenter knows that there´s no need of blood to make such a good horror film.

I Know Who Killed Me

The film is bad!!!!! but the story is quite interesting and the visual style is beautifull, but the clichés and the last minutes killed the movie.

Cloverfield

Diary of the Dead

Diary of the Dead was really dissapointing, the trailer looks better than the whole movie. This film has some bad actings and I didn´t feel it "realistic" like George A. Romero wanted, but one thing is for sure the few gore scenes are amazing.

The Opposite of Sex

A great comedy, Christina Ricci at her best, the film is just funny full with a lot of great moments, the story is quite interesting as well the cast.

Colic: dek hen pee
½

Colic is a different asian movie which is far from the tipicall ghost movie (the Ring, Shutter, The Grudge) is different ´cause it has an originall screenplay.
Coplic tells the story of a child who has premonitions and can sense the danger. the story is good but the main problem of the film is thay it´s a little slow and it may boring, it has bad performance as usual in Thai movies (The art of devil) and has a bad special effect too.
THE FEAR FACTOR: The movie isn´t scary, it has a few suspense scenes but it has a shoking scene (according to the poster you may guess what´s the scene).

½

The film is slow and boring in some scenes but the end was totally crazy I didn´t expect it, it was weird.

American Psycho
½

This one was really good, Christian Bale is so briliant as Patrick Bateman, he is one of the most versatile actors and also he is an underrated actor, the movie has some really goods scenes. I like the personality of the main character he is sarcastic, refined, lunatic and he is mad, the dialogues are just fun.

Frontier(s)
Frontier(s)(2007)

The Sea Inside is a film full of contrast, the film is about the life and the death with the great performance by Javier Bardem.

The Orphanage

A perfect thriller film, with great performances and a good atmosphere a film that has a some godd scary scenes. One of the best of 2007.

American Gangster

A really good movie, with great performance by Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, the story of Bumpy is just like the Colombian Gangster Pablo Escobar, well the best part of the movie is the last few minutes. A worth of watch. One of the best of 2007.

Saint Seiya: Tenkai-hen josô - Overture

The best SAINT SEIYA movie, the story is very different it doesn´t have a lot of fighting scenes instead it focus on character`s feeling, the screenplay and the soundtrack are great but the end was disappointed.

Saint Seiya: Kamigami no atsuki tatakai

A well made Saint Seiya movie, with an interesting story and a good soundtrack.

Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield

ED GAIN was an OK movie, to be honest it was dissapointed I expected scary scenes or more gore but this movie was like a drama film of a Serial Killer, it had some bloody scenes but nothing good. The story was more credible than the one seen in the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, that was the only thing good in the movie.

Pumping Iron
Pumping Iron(1976)

Enjoyable documentary which follows the hard training of a Body Builder, the documentary shows different people with different personality trying to win the Mr Olympia contest.

El Cantante
El Cantante(2007)
½

Great biopic, Marc Anthony did a great performance as Hector Lavoe and Jennifer Lopez did a good work too, I liked the movie and the music.

Pay It Forward

A good film which show us how a simple idea can easily change the world, the cast is impressive; Kevin Spacey, Haley Joel Osment and Helen Hunt were great, but the end was so sad I dindn´t see it coming. A worth of watch, a recommended film.

Manhattan
Manhattan(1979)

Great Woody Allen´s film about relationship done in his way, the relation between Woody and Mariel, Meryl and Diane was very funny, he made a very different love story with a great screenplay, great performances and a great photography, the black and white format was perfect for Manhattan.

Return to House on Haunted Hill

This movie is worth of watch just for the gore and death scenes and the great job made with the ghosts and the atmosphere, but the film is very boring, has a predictable story, the characters are boring and there´s no scary and suspense scenes.

Frankenfish
Frankenfish(2004)

A very boring with ugly CGI effects and a very silly plot, is just the same thing seen in Anaconda.

Casino
Casino(1995)

This is very estrange because CASINO is a really good movie, with a great screenplay, great performances, great cast, great direction but I couldn´t stand a movie for 3 hours, if the movie would be shorter maybe I would enjoy the film.

Doragon bôru Z: Kono yo de ichiban tsuyoi yatsu (Dragon Ball Z: The Movie - The World's Strongest)
½

An average Dragon Ball Z movie with a predectible ending.

Doragon bôru Z 1: Ora no Gohan wo kaese

An average Dragon Ball Z movie, I still prefer the tv show story.

Léon: The Professional

Excellent film, Leon the professional is pure drama, action and suspense. The story is great, it shows the estrange realationship between a Hitman and a 12 years old girl, the dialogues and the situations are great. The performance by Jean Reno, Gary Oldman and the young Natalie Portman are amazing.

A fully recomended film, a movie you shouldn't miss.

Snatch
Snatch(2001)

Snatch is sarcasm in its pure form, the movie is briliant, the characters are well done and the performances is good and funny. The movie has a lot of funny moments, the dialogues and quotes are so great, while I was watching this film I thought it would be like Pulp Fiction, but Snatch it's ten time better than Tarntino's film.

Eyes Wide Shut

I expected more from Stanley Kubrick's last film EYES WIDE SHUT, now I realized that he was an overrated director, I didn't like his movies I found his movie so boring and slow and EYES WIDE SHUT isn't the exception, the story is quite interesting, Nicole and Tom did a good performance but the execution of the movie was slow and made the movie so boring.

Taxi Driver
Taxi Driver(1976)
½

Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster did a great performance, but t I didn´t like the movie, maybe I found it a little boring.

Dancer in the Dark

Dancer in the dark, is a really sad movie, Bjork is excellent in his role, her performance is great, one of the saddest character in the history of the cinema. The film is well directed, I liked the transitions between reality and the musical world, and the end is just sad, just like seen in Monster. I don´t like musicals but I give it to this movie an opportunity and I now I´m happy to watch an excellent film, if you don´t like musicals you should give it a try.

Secretary
Secretary(2002)
½

A black comedy, with a good story, and perfects characters and the great performances by Maggie Gyllenhaal. A different Love story, a must watch!

Grindhouse
Grindhouse(2007)
½

Death Proof
Death Proof(2007)

I don´t know what to think of this movie, the concept is good, the acting is good, Kurt Russell performances is great, but the movie turns a little bit slow and boring, the only thing that I enjoyed was the cars scenes and the last minutes of the movie, like the Elvis song said "A little less conversation, a little more action please ".

Black Sheep
Black Sheep(2006)

Surprisingly enjoyable movie, with an original screenplay and good performances. The story is quite simple, is like a zombie film but instead of zombies there are sheeps, sheeps that bite human and can transform them into sheep. The New Zeland's location are beautiful, and the special effects are beliavable. And what it's good the film has the exact amount of humor, blood and gore that a movie in this genre can have.

Love in the Time of Cholera
½

I haven´t read the book, the novel was so long.

The movie was good but honestly there was a few boring scenes, the acting was not good at all, it would have been better if it was in spanish because it would look more natural, the photography was good too Cartagena is a very beautiful place and the soundtrack is good with two Shakira's songs, my favorite scene was the end sequence. The best in whole the movie was only the soundtrack, cause the film was very dissapointing.

The big question is: HOW LONG WOULD YOU WAIT FOR LOVE?

Rescue Dawn
Rescue Dawn(2007)

Give it a try!

A Walk to Remember
½

An enjoyable chick flick, the story is good, it reminds me to SWEET NOVEMBER, but this one was a little different, the performances are good and the soundtrack great, if you haven't seen this film yet, give it a try, like a did.

30 Days of Night
½

Great horror movie, with a great plot and good performances, the effects are amazing and the vampires are really disturbing, the film has some good gore scenes and a lot of blood, one of the best film of 2007.

A Beautiful Mind

A well done movie, with a great direction and a good script. The film has great performances by Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly, I didn't know it was a based on true events, anyways it´s a movie you shouldn´t miss.

Labyrinth
Labyrinth(1986)

THE LABYRINTH it´s a very good fantasy movie, with a good performances by Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. The film is full of magic and it has an interesting story.

Mean Girls
Mean Girls(2004)

A chick flick with some funny scenes and a predictible ending.

Trainspotting

Trainspotting is a good movie against drugs, but not with the same drama than REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, the film is not dramatic it's just funny, it shows addiction in different ways. The performance and the cast was good, also the music was good.
If you enjoyed REQUIEM FOR A DREAM you probably enjoy TRAINSPOTTING.

Memento
Memento(2000)

MEMENTO has an original edition, the movie was created backwards (The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end) it can keep your brain bussy trying to "understand" the movie, the screenplay is amazing and the performance by Guy Pearce is good.

A good thriller.

The Shawshank Redemption
½

A great movie, very emotional, with a good screenplay and well acted by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, the story has an interesting twist. A worth of watch.

FEAR CAN HOLD YOU PRISONER. HOPE CAN SET YOU FREE.

21 Grams
21 Grams(2003)

21 grams, another great movie from Alejandro González Iñárritu, the way how the story progressing is quite interestring, the performances by Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro and Naomi Watts are brilliant, you may feel how the characters are feeling and how they are suffering. The story like AMORES PERROS shows how a tragical accident claims several lives of three different people. The soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla is amazing, 21 Grams is a film you shouldn't miss.

The Hours
The Hours(2002)

What happen when you see in a movie three great actrees? the result is easy a movie with outstanding performances, that's THE HOURS.

The film is interesting, three generations of women in different times, each women with her own fears and doubts about life. in 1920 Virginia Woolf (Nicole Kidman) grapples with her inner demons and slowly works on her novel Mrs. Dalloway, in 1949 housewife Laura Brown (Julianne Moore) feels her own destructive impulses; and in 1999 book editor Clarissa Vaughn (Meryl Streep)--much like the title character of Woolf's novel--prepares to throw a party, in honor of her dearest friend, a seriously ill poet (Ed Harris). The performances of these actrees are amazing, especially Nicole Kidman with a good interpretation.

Annie Hall
Annie Hall(1977)

Annie Hall is a great movie, it has a smart screenplay, great direction and great performances by Diane Keaton and Woody Allen, he was fantastic in his role of a psychotic man. A great comedy about love and friendship.

Resident Evil: Extinction
½

Better than the second part but worse than the first one. Resident Evil Extinction has more action and gore scenes than the other parts and less story than the first one. Milla Jovovich was amazing in his role of Alice and the zombies were well done, but they wasn´t scary after all. The scenarios were great and my favorite scene was the Crows Scene.

I think that this is not a good videogame adaptation ´cause it didin´t follow the videogame timeline, and the film doesn´t have others important characters and the most important the film wasn´t scary as the videogame was.

Kylie Minogue - Body Language Live

This is not a movie, but anyways I have this DVD and Kylie looks fantastic.

Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror)
½

I really enjoyed PLANET TERROR, the opening was so good with Rose McGowan dancing, the film has a good combination af comedy and horror, that makes the movie a worth of watch.

The Game
The Game(1997)

A really mindbender film, with a lot of good twist. Davin Fincher makes a great thriller movie, Michael Douglas made a good performance. The story was really good with an original concept and a great and unpredictible ending. A thriller you shouldn't miss.

The Hitcher
The Hitcher(2007)
½

Now that I´ve seen the original, I have to re-comment this remake. This remake is a little weak compared to the other, the fact that change a character for collegiate couple was bad. The Hitcher 1986 was more psychological and the remake is more explicit with more gore and blood, but I still prefer the suspense scenes from the original. The end scene of this one was very disappointed compared to the brilliant end scene from the original. I enjoy more the psychological and suspenseful scenes from the first one than the bloody scenes of this remake.

Wrong Turn
Wrong Turn(2003)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets The Hills Have eyes.

Wrong Turn has influences from two of my favorite movies, and it looks really good, it has tension and some gore scenes, the performances was so good. It ten times better than the sequel. Don't watch WT2, watch this part.

H6: Diario de un asesino (H6: Diary of a Serial Killer)

It was a really dissapointed, it doesn't look like HOSTEL, ELi Roth's movie was ten time better. It only has one bloody scene and no more, the main character talk and talk and talk. If you want to see a serial killer movie watch MONSTER, but If you want to see a horro movie watch HOSTEL, you can also can watch any Hannibal Lecter's film. But don't watch this film, it is a total waste of time.

The Hitcher
The Hitcher(1986)

A really good movie, with a lot of suspense scenes, the screenplay is good, the performances are good, the direction great and the action scenes are fantastic.

Equilibrium
Equilibrium(2002)

What would happen if we couldn´t have feelings? The world would be better? (I don´t think so) and if you show emotions like happiness or rage you will be arrested in the nation of Libria, that´s a part of the plot from this film.

EQUILIBRIUM is a good science fiction movie with a great screenplay, the action scenes are just fantastic, the director created for the film a new fighting style with guns, and it looks great it reminds me to the videogame DEVIL MAY CRY, but the movie it´s not just action it also has some drama scenes that make a good complement to the movie. Christian Bale is awesome in this film, the action scenes that he does looks fantastic. A perfect movie for a weekend, and probably you won´t easily forget the action in it.

The Island
The Island(2005)

The Island is a great action movie, the film has an interesting screenplay and has some good suspense and action scenes, it also has a lot of good special effects. Scarlett Johansson looks fantastic in this movie and Ewan McGregor made good performance. Michael Bay is good shooting films like this, films with a lot of special effects.

American History X

A powerfull movie about the racism and the problems of the society, with a great lesson to learn. Edward Norton gives a brilliant peroformance.

Superman Returns
½

Good movie with a new story and a good performance by Brandon Routh as Superman, it has some good special effects but not as good as the 1978 film.

Philadelphia
Philadelphia(1993)
½

A really sad movie, it's about discrimination against people with AIDS and homosexuals, the music is just perfect and the direction good and with the amazing performance by Tom Hanks.

American Beauty

Spectacular! the movie is simply briliant, it's a movie that invite us to search for the meaning of our lifes. Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening give a great performance. The direction and the music is perfect.

Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction(1994)

What a dissapointed, I wanted to watch more violence, the movie has it's briliant moments but also has its boring scenes. The best thing of whole movie was Uma Thurman performances.

Rosario Tijeras

Girl, Interrupted

I really enjoy GIRL, INTERRUPTED, the film has a good screenplay and good direction, but the most important thing of this film are the greats performances by Angelina Jolie (I think she need more movies like this) and Winona Ryder (she is perfect for his role). A movie worth of watch.

The Piano Teacher (La Pianiste)

This movie shows the dark side of the sex, it may be a little boring but the movie make that you keep watching until it´s over, and at the end is disturbing.

Run Lola Run
Run Lola Run(1999)
½

The film is brillant and funny, I liked the way that they made the alternative endings and how the things happens while she is running. if you are searching for something different, this is your movie.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End
½

Not as good as I thought it will be, the characters are annoying and have such a silly screenplay and bad acting, the effects looks so fake. I couldn´t stop thinking about THE HILLS HAVE EYES while I was watching this film, because it seems so much to the Alexandre Aja´s version. But one thing is for sure it has some gore scenes that are enjoyable. I think that I must watch the first part but just for Eliza Dushku.

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider(2007)

Boring movie with stupid script and full of bad performance.

Breaking and Entering

Breaking and Entering is a slow movie that could you boring, it has some goods performances, Juliette Binoche is good in her character, in the film we see all kind of problem in a typicall family.

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider

Not the best videogame adaptation but it has Angelina Jolie in it.

Twisted Sisters
½

A low budget film, with ugly special effects and bad acting, the story is simple and silly. The best thing of the film is the first Colombian Scream Queen Fiona Horsey, she look´s good in this film.

The Passion of the Christ

The most violent movie about Jesus, it shows how Jesus suffered in a very hard movie.

Mars Attacks!

Funny with a lot of cliché.

An excellent movie, with great special effects and screenplay and the briliant performance by Naomi Watts. The best film of 2005. A worth of watch.

The Italian Job

Not the best movie, but it has a strong cast with great actors like Charlize and Edward, the movie has its action and suspense scenes but nothing more, just a simple movie to watch in a boring sunday.

Knocked Up
Knocked Up(2007)

KNOCKED UP it´s a very different movie, it´s not the typical movie about teens and sex (American pie, Superbad, etc), it´s just an emotional comedy movie, the performance by Seth Rogen it´s just hilarious (I think that he is the next Jim Carrey), the story and the situations are just to Laught Out Loud. One of the best movie of this year (2007) and a worth of watch.

Panic Room
Panic Room(2002)

What a disappointed, PANIC ROOM is not at the same level as the others David Fincher´s movies (Seven and The Fight Club), it has some thrilling moments that keeps you watching the movie, but that´s all, the story is not bad nor good. The performance by Jodie Foster is good, the perfect actress for this kind of movie.

The Invasion
The Invasion(2007)
½

I haven´t seen the other previous remake, so I´m not going to compare this movie to the others. THE INVASION is a good movie for a weekend, it´s not horror, it´s just suspense, the film makes you feel stressed about the situation and Nicole Kidman is amazing in her role of a desperate mother.

My Life Without Me
½

A very beautiful movie, with a good cast, the story is simply amazing, the story makes you think about things you did and things that you are doing, the development of the story is good. The most impressive is the great performance by Sarah Polley, a very sad movie and worth of watch.

The Ring
The Ring(2002)
½

I haven't seen the original yet, so I can't compare with the asian movie. The Ring it's a well made ghost movie, with some scary scenes and a good performance by Naomi Watts.

Seven (Se7en)

At last, I had the opportunity to watch this movie, the film it´s great, it has an excellent story, brilliant performances (Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey), the movie is disturbing, dark, twisting, compelling and chilling. Iit has a lot of thriller scenes that keep you at the edge of the seat, I thought that it will be good, but I get wrong the movie is excellent, one of my favorite movies, worth of watch and highly recommended.

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

Another great movie from the brilliant mind of David Fincher. The story is great, the performances by Edward Norton and Brad Pitt was amazing. A film with a great twist and well acted. A movie you shouldn´t miss.

The Painted Veil
½

I think that THE PAINTED VEIL it´s an underrated movie, I don´t know why. The film it´s romantic and dramatic, but not ridiculous. the film has the great performances by Edward Norton and Naomi Watts (an underrated actress). The story is excellent and the locations are very beautiful, Hong Kong was a great place for this movie, it gives to the movie a perfect environment. An enjoyable movie, a film you shouldn´t miss.

Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow it´s an entertaining movie, with a good atmosphere, the colors of locations are gorgeous, and also the costumes and the soundtrack. Johnny Deep and Christina Ricci are perfect for their roles, the movie has greats CGI effects.

Return of the Living Dead 3
½

this third part it´s pretty different to the others, and I liked that, the fact to put a female zombie like the main character it was so good, and the story it´s great.

Return of the Living Dead Part II
½

This second part is just like the other first one, I didn´t find nothing interesting in it.

The Return of the Living Dead

The return of the living dead it´s a pretty slow movie the action take to long to come, but it´s an entertaining zombie movie.

Night of the Living Dead

A good zombie movie, I didn´t know that it was a remake, anyways this film has a good screenplay written by the great George A. Romero, it has action from the beginning of the movie until the end, with a lot of action and gore scenes, it is one of my favorite zombie films.

Al final del espectro

The first horror movie made in Colombia. The story has ideas from THE OTHERS, THE EYE and THE GRUDGE, but with an original plot.

Leprechaun 2
Leprechaun 2(1994)

Just like the first one, a total waste of time.

Just Friends
Just Friends(2005)
½

This is an Okay film, surprisingly enjoyable, the movie has some funny parts and the best of this movie was the character played by Anna Faris I just couldn´t stop to laugh when I saw her on the screen, just for her I give it to the movie a 3.5 stars.

Mr. Brooks
Mr. Brooks(2007)
½

I was expecting more from this movie, Kevin Costner did a good performance as a man addicted to kill, but it was not enough for me, I found this movie very boring and disappointed.

North Country
½

Another great performance by Charlize Theron, the film tells the story about sexual harassment at Minnesota in 1975. The movie has a beautiful locations and a wonderful photography and a great music composed by Gustavo Santaolalla, to my mind came a lot of scenes from Brokeback Mountain while I was watching this movie, maybe it was for the locations or the music that was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla too. If you want to know more about sexual harassment and if you like Charlize Theron then this is a good movie for you.

Shakespeare in Love
½

Honestly, I don´t like movies set in the past (like this in 1593), but one thing is for sure in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE: the amazing costumes design and the great performance by Gwyneth Paltrow, just for that I give it 3.5 stars .

My Boss's Daughter
½

A bad comedy movie with an unreal plot, so predictable and full of bad performance, Asthon Kutcher acted like the same silly character as seen in JUST MARRIED.

Boys Don't Cry

Boys don´t cry is a good drama movie, but not with the same level as MONSTER, but I liked the story although it´s boring and slow at times. two thumbs up for Hilary Swank´s great performance.

Sweet November

Sweet November is a good drama movie, which teach us to living and enjoy the life. The locations are great and the performance by Charlize Theron is brilliant. the end sequence is the greatest part of the film.

A boring prequel, it explain the origin of the J-Terror, but like others prequels it become so boring and predictable, it could be better with some horror scenes.

The Illusionist
½

The illusionist is a good movie with an interesting screenplay, the performance by Edward Norton is great, the locations is beautiful and the costumes were designed according to the 20th-century and the most important a great twist that you won´t see coming.

Fracture
Fracture(2007)
½

The mainly reason for me to watch FRACTURE was for my favorite actor Anthony Hopkins. This movie is a good psychological thriller. The plot is well done and the performance by Anthony Hopkins was great, I think that he is perfect for this kind of movie. I watched on DVD and it has a few of goods deletes scenes and two interesting alternative endings, but with the same ending as the original version, the only thing that change is the situation but I was expecting more from the alternatives endings something different that the same endings.

Baby's Day Out

It was ten times better when I was young, but it´s a funny and different family movie.

Yogen (Premonition)

Yogen is a well made suspense movie, it´s boring and slow at times but with an interesting and predictible ending.

The Devil's Rejects

A movie that looks like a ´70, it has a lot of funny dialogues, I thought that it would have gore and scary moments, but it doesn´t. My favorite character was the one that played Sheri Moon.

Darkness Falls

Boring, boring and so boring.

Jeepers Creepers 2

Boring, boring, boring and boring.

Jeepers Creepers

The film it´s ok, there isn´t nothing original in it.

The Evil Dead

A fantastic film with great bloody and gory scenes and a great story and the good performance by Bruce Campbell as Ash. Join us!

Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
½

Not as good as the first one, but it has great gore scenes that I enjoyed.

Army of Darkness
½

Evil dead 3 took another genre, it passed to be a great horror flick to become an action movie.

Paris Je T'aime
½

Interesting movie with interesting performances, this movie shows us all kind of love in different stories. The shorts stories were original and with an interesting cast. My favorite short-story was "Lejos del 16º" de Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas.

Seed of Chucky

The worst Chuky´s sequel, the movie has a silly screenplay. I thought that Child´s Play 3 was the worst Chky sequel, but I was wrong, this is the worst.

Gin gwai 10 (The Eye 10) (The Eye: Infinity)

This movie doesn´t have to be compared to the excellent movie: THE EYE. is not as good as the original, it doesn´t have the same atmosphere like the other film. I think that this movie was made for the sake of money. PLEASE NO MORE EYE´S SECUELS.

Gin gwai (The Eye)
½

One of the best ghost movie, with an interesting story and great atmosphere. The movie catch you from the start until the end of the movie.

THE EYE is more a psychological movie than a horror and gore film. It´s original, it´s different. It doesn´t have the same long hair ghost as seen in THE RING and Ju-ON.

The best GHOST MOVIE I´ve ever seen and one of my favorite.

Unrest
Unrest(2006)

A movie about ghost without any ghost but with a lot of blood.

The Eye 2 (Gin gwai 2)
½

I expected more from the Pangs Brothers. I prefer the first one which had a lot of scary moments, this one was very boring.

28 Weeks Later...

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo knows that there´s no need to remake or copy a zombie movie from George Romero to make a succesful zombie film.

The screenplay is great and well done (but not original) but very different to the American zombie Films where theres only fighting and killing zombies from start to end without much of a storyline (Resident evil), the locations are excellent London was a great place for the movie, it made the movie seems so realistic. The soundtrack is excellent, the music is scary, a great complement for the movie. A movie you shouldn´t miss.

TWO THUMBS UP!

Zodiac
Zodiac(2007)

If you are looking for the typical serial killer movie then you shouldn´t see Zodiac.

David Fincher made a different serial killer movie in which shows how the lifes of three people changes while they are searching for the truth about the zodiac.

David Fincher creates an atmosphere full of suspense and with the great performance by Jake Gyllenhaal as Graysmith make a good complement to the movie. Perhaps is a very long movie but the suspense never stop in every single scene. Therefore ZODIAC is a good movie if you want to watch another version of the zodiac killer but if you are looking for a serial killer movie AVOID IT! it may boring you.

One Missed Call 2

I haven´t seen the first part of the story. But ONE MISSED CALL 2 is a very boring movie, it´s not original. is the same white and long hair ghost as seen in THE RING and JU-ON. If you are looking for a different ghost movie, avoid this.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 - The Dream Child

I didnt like this movie, it was so predectible and boring.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 - The Dream Master
½

I didn´t like this one, its almost the same movie that A Nightmare on Elm Street 3- The Dream Warriors. Anyway Robert Englund its perfect in his role as Freddy Krueger.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors

The same as the previous Freddy´s movie but with more characters and a silly story with poors actings.

Nightmare on Elm Street, Part 2: Freddy's Revenge

Satan
Satan(2007)

Silent Hill
Silent Hill(2006)
½

Silent Hill is a model that all the directors have to follow to make a good game adaptation. The atmosphere, the photography, the soundtrack and the creatures are the best, the only bad thing was the dialogues sometimes the dialogues were empty and the change of the main character (in the game was a man) for a woman but I think that the story require it maybe for a secuel. The fanatic of Silent Hill should be waiting the story of James and Maria, and the return of that Special Place named Silent Hill

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Angelina Jolie was beautifull in this movie but the Action/Comedy genre it´s not my kind of movie. And the Director shows Bogota like a little town, what a ignorant.

Dawn of the Dead

This movie is great, probably one of the best remake ever made, it has the scent from Geoge´s film, it has action, thriller and gore. The credit scene original and the DVD extra are good, contains a lot of interesting special features.

The Queen

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
½

A well made horror movie, full of suspense and gore escenes, and LEATHERFACE is my favorite horror icon.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

A movie with the same essence of the 2003 remake, but with more gore and slashers escenes. But it doesn´t have a good concept for the origin of leatherface.

Hannibal Rising

Buena tirando a mala.

Spider-Man 3(2007)

The best thing of this secuel of Hannibal Lecter story was that Hannibal is the main character of the story showing a good performance by Anthony Hopkins. A movie full of Suspense and creepyscenes. A good romantic-comedy movie.

Schindler's List
