- May Heath Ledger rest in peace. One of the greatest young actors of our time that was able to awe us all with his amazing performances and diverse capabilities. He will no doubt be a legacy for years to come with his most recent performance as The Joker, just as Jack Nicholson was before him. We love you Heath and you will be sorely missed. ------------ Ok, so if you haven't noticed just by my profile, I love Batman and have been kind extremely excited about the new movie coming out. I used to watch Batman: The Animated Series every single day when I got home from school when I was younger so I've been a Batman fan for a very long time. I've never, honestly, been a huge fan of the older Batman movies though. They all just seemed really far-fetched to me and I disliked how the actors played Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christian Bale does have the build to be a more believable Batman as well as the persona, but he also portrays the complexity of Bruce Wayne psychologically incredibly well with both the emotional torment he feels and having an alter-ego, which can also be seen as a second personality that many of the other actors that played Batman didn't quite go into which resembles Bruce Wayne's real personality rather than his playboy image he puts out to the world with himself. The other actors just seemed like they were Bruce Wayne in a costume and that's not how it's suppose to be. I thought Micheal Keaton did a good job as the brooding Batman (not so much the Bruce Wayne part), but I still think that even though he may not have been the first to be Batman, Christian Bale has the ability to dig deeper into a character and grasp fully their emotions. ------------ Yeah, that was my "Christian Bale is the best Batman ever" speech basically. Anyways, if you don't believe in his acting talents, I definitely think you should check out some of the scenes from "American Psycho". It's a gruesome movie, but the ending scene when he's on the phone leaving a message for his lawyer is amazing, as well as the scene with Paul Allen. I laugh every time I see that just because of how goofy it is even if the guy is being killed by an axe. x.X To me, a guy who can play Jesus, the epitome of all that is good, as well as a murdering psychopath, has to have some pretty amazing talent. ----------
