The Dark Crystal

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT when I was a kid!!!!! I saw it in the theaters when it came out (I was 7) and I was still young enough to have it scare the crap out of me. Yet I was oddly fascinated/obsesses with it for a long time afterward. = CRAP! I was a sci.fi-junkie straight out of the gate! Kudos to Henson on a masterful creation.

Legend
Legend(1985)

A bit weird in the story, special effects are a little crappy, but appropriated for the release year, and awkwardly early in Tom's career. But a cult classic none the less!

The Last Unicorn
½

A little long in the story telling, but I adored this movie when I was a kid.

The Return of the King

A better version of the story for my little ones. You get the happy yet sad ending without the gore of Peter Jackson's version and can still teach an appreciation of the literature.

The Hobbit
The Hobbit(1978)

Another great piece from the Rankin/Bass team.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

I grew up with it. My kids love it. We watch it a million times every year. I have the box set with all the classics. As an adult, I have gradually collected almost everything else Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass were involved in. Even the "B" movie stuff like "The Easter Bunny is Comin' to Town."

Aside from the stop-motion animation. I also love & have collected their regular animated work like "The Last Unicorn" and the J.R.R Tolkien animated trilogy they did starting with "The Hobbit."

Alien Resurrection

My fave. out of the entire collection! Just when you think there's no other way to come up with a new plot for Ripley... they do it again with an interesting twist.

Underworld
Underworld(2003)

Plot lines and special effects have come a LONG way since the cheesy vampire crap from the 80's and 90's. This film is a perfect example of how well the vampire/werewolf genera has evolved into a decent movie finally.

Queen of the Damned

Guilty pleasure, and a cult classic all rolled into one.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Justin is addicted to this one. He watches it non-stop from Halloween to Christmas every year. I end up with the retarded songs stuck in my head, but I still like it. So, it can't be that bad... "Right?"

Underworld: Evolution

The plot thickens! LOVE it!

The Polar Express

One movie I don't mind watching a million times with the kids.
