JC's Review of Due Date
Honestly, as a follow-up to the uproariously hilarious - albeit raunchy - "The Hangover", I had higher expectations. It has it's funny parts, but most of them have already been seen in the previews. Downey is fantastic, although he's not exactly your run-of-the-mill architect - because he's got a spine. But I digress. Galifianakis is supposed to be the doofus that everyone adores, but he is so insanely irritating and socially inept that his presence becomes an annoyance rather than a punchline. Phillips isn't afraid to bring the crude, rude, and raunch, but it feels like stale leftovers after the out of left field hit that his last film was.
