The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas)
5 years ago via Flixster

The boy in the striped pajamas is a great movie, mark herman really told a story about two friends in the hollacost era, a devestation that would be remembered for years to come, how innocent these two children can be will all this hurt and destruction going on around them, even though there is an electric fence dividing them. Bruno is a german boy who's father is linked with the prisoner of war camps, Bruno befriends as boy called shmuel who is a jew in the prisoner of war camp, this film shows so many emotions that it was hard for even my parents to watch, but i couldn't move from the screen so i watched until the end, you don't see what happen at the end but it leads you to use your imagination off the horrific things that went on in the camps, these actors played their roles very well. I think at least this should be watched. I give this a 4/5

Drive (2011)
5 years ago via Flixster

Right so drive, i watched the trailer back when it came out , and thought i would like to watch it, but never had the chance to, finally got the dvd, the other night and realised that it was very slow starting and silent really. From the main character, no monologue, he just drives, not untils he see a women in his building that he starts coming out of shell, and we see that actually you shouldn't mess with this driver, he does a drive and tell them it 5 mins he there and time either side he cant help you, one drive turns messy resulting in deaths, and so the driver is wanting revenge, as the film carried on i realise that its a good film. And a film doesn't always need speaking parts, actions do speak louder than words in this case ? i liked it, one because of ryan, and two it different to what im used to. ? recommend.

The Five-Year Engagement
5 years ago via Flixster

Five year engagement, went to see this the other day, see the trailer only once, so still wasent sure on the whole thing, but turns out that the whole 2 hours and 4 mins of this film i was glued as it was quite funny and made me even tear up for a bit, i thought Jason was great and so was Emily , they are great together, a great comedy movie, lots of laughs, not much to say just your average comedy movie about a couple wanting to marry, but it doesn't quite get there, but after five years they finally realise that this should happen and do the thing. ?

Carnage (2011)
5 years ago via Flixster

Carnage, couldn't wait until this came out, i got it as a birthday gift, and wanted to see straight from the word go, plus its got great actors in this film kate winslet was amasing , Jodie foster, chris waltz and john c. Rielly, i have never seen a film where basically adapted all in one room, this film portrays a fight gone wrong between two 11 year old kids where it ends up one kid hitting the other around the face with a stick resulting in injury, so the parents decide to talk about what the punishment should be, at first it goes all smoothly they are all up held citizens upper class, and job orientated, they go in and out of the house several times each time argueing and going back in to the house, they all start argueing more and more, there are tangdrums, crying , vomiting , phone calls, and all hell breaks loose. You starts to see the cracks in each of the couples marriage and within the space of 2 hours both couples are drunk and emotional, it now becomes not about the kids as such but there own problem within the marriage. I really enjoyed this film, thought it was genius on how it was scripted. Roman Polanski did a great job on directing this, he's very particular and thats what i like about this film, like alan and his phone, nancy and her bag, penny and her art books, and micheal well with the phone calls cigars, generally a nice guy, ? i would recommend this film.
