Time of the Gypsies

Wonderful! Beautiful! And the music is amazing!

DarkBlueAlmostBlack (Azuloscurocasinegro) (Dark Blue Almost Black)

I only saw this film by accident this spring, as I was handed free tickets. And I can say that I probably wouldn't have seen this film if it weren't for those tickets. But anyways.

This is a sweet little flick that at some points makes you want to visit Spain. And most of the time the comedy actually works rather good, but the supposedly tragic stuff doesn't really do it for me. Too bad, because the actors are really cute, except for the girlfriend of the main character who just really gets on my nerves. Especially with those stupid braces.

The Hangover
The Hangover(2009)

Fucking hilarious!! Epic. The Hangover is movie of the year.

love it. great plot and scenery. go rent it now.

Eastern Promises

Extra credit for the naked fighting-scene in showers!!

Georgia Rule
Georgia Rule(2007)

Wow.. you lost me after like fifteen minutes.

read the book instead.

it fucking ruled.

Seven Pounds
Seven Pounds(2008)

Good but not great. But still, good. And Smith is awesomely talented, yes indeed.

Lars and the Real Girl

Lovely! I had no idea what to expect of this of this film but oh my it was by far way better than I imagined it to be, and I recommend it warmly to everyone.

Revolutionary Road

This is a fabulous film and I have already been to see it twice at the cinema. Winslet's performance is just astounding and very impressive - the next Meryl Streep perhaps? Winslet is definately the centre of this film and her portrayal of the character goes right through the screen. Is there anything she can't do?

An alright movie, reminded me very much of "Capote", with the villain being way more impressive than Jolie who just seems to be a hysterical thin woman with no other characteristics. Though everything is pretty and Jolie herself is very beautifully styled and wathching her I can't help thinking of that painting by Ed Hopper "Automat".

Mammoth (Mammut)

Never been a fan of Moodysson's previous work so I did not expect to like this very much - BUT surprisingly enough I really enjoyed this film! It's very "Babel"-esque and there's no real plot per se, but more a film of the voyeuristic kind where you get glimpses of people's live just for a few days. Both Williams (who was in Sweden shooting this when Ledger passed) and García Bernal are great. Great flick!

Saturday Night Live: The Best of Will Ferrell

I'm laughing my ass off - especially when he does James Lipton, you can't tell them apart!!

The Dark Knight

Cool flick and Ledger is great - but what's up with Batman's voice?

Only worth it to see Jackman's delicious body and swoon about it later, otherwise it was a piece of *"¤%&.

The Interpreter

Mediocre and Kidman is very annoying and weird. Penn is fabulous though, as always.

The Others
The Others(2001)

Such a beautiful and clever film!

The Invasion
The Invasion(2007)

Sci-fi is always underrated and this one is quite cool! Kind of short though, a longer film might have made it more creepy and exciting.

Clooney is great as always, but the film itself is average and honestly - WHY is Zellweger a respected actor?? She only has one face. She sucks. A little pluralism please!

Alright and interesting but that's it.

Wendy and Lucy

This is by far the movie of the year for me. Michelle Williams, you really impressed me. Either you'll love it or hate it.

National Lampoon's Vacation

Yes, Chevy Chase is my hero.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

The perfect Christmas flick and Chevy Chase is funny as hell.

Ana amazingly hillarious film that seems not to have aged a day since its making!

Gentlemen's Relish

Rather average yet quite entertaining film on early 20th century nude photography.

I never thought I'd say this but I just realized that Bush is a human being. Brolin is amazing and even more astounding in this is Newton, I could not believe it was her in that Condoleeza Rice costume! Very impressive in deed.
Everybody should see this, just for fun!

Chelsea on the Rocks

Oh this is so poor. The glorification of people doing drugs just bugs me, and I'm one who is fascinated by portraits of addicts ("Candy", "Spun" etc.)!
It is very uneven and probably could have used a little more editing, perhaps the director's vision was for it to be uneven and aspiring to make the movie resemble a delerium but the end result is not satifactory.
On the up hand there are a few interesting stories told here and especially the part where Milos Forman talks about a party and the waterfalls down the stairs is entertaining as well as Ethan Hawke's parts are (great impression on that Arthur Miller-Marilyn Monroe thing!).
One thing that also struck me watching this, is how there doesn't seem to be many women living at the Chealsea. It is in deed a mans world and the film somewhat ends up focusing on these big men that have unbelievable stories to tell. (Some while obviously intoxicated).

So what about the rating then? The film stirs up some emotions and is entertaining but not like other [better] documentaries, so I'll have to leave it with two and a half poor stars.

I'd advice one who is extremely interested in the Chelsea to see it, but if you know nothing about the hotel, don't waste your time.

This is a very good documentary on oil and the downside of oilusage and for once NOT focused entirely on global warming but other more tangible issues. Everybody should see this, especially the ones living in the U.S.

Pineapple Express

Father of the Bride

Oh I just loved this film when I was a kid! And oddly enough I'm sure I'll love it as much if I watched it today :)

Let the Right One In

I don't know what to make of this which is why I've given it a [totally undeserving] 50-50 rating. It is not a horror picture in the classic sense. It is more a portrait of 1970's Sweden (forgive me if I got the decade wrong) and a kid being bullied. Did not care much for the ending and at moments the kid actors were very annoying.
However, I quite liked the little vampire and the constant snow everywhere.
Still, I am very ambivalent towards this film, perhaps it needs some more sinking in in me before I can really honestly say I liked it.
For it is indeed much better than anything that has come out of Sweden for a very long time.

Michael Ealy rules.

Bernard and Doris

Haha omg I thought this was made in 1980's when I watched it yesterday - conclusion: this movie is embarrassing and there's no reason to write anything more in this review.

Der Baader Meinhof Komplex (The Baader Meinhof Complex)

Dieser Film ist wunderbar!
An astounding portrait of a horrible terrorist group. Martina Gedeck's character Ulrike Meinhof was the only person I felt something for in the film, otherwise the remaining characters just stuck in the box of "terrorists" as far as I am concerned.
A piece of art, though I keep asking why do all German films that portray historical events or people have to be so long?!

Burn After Reading

Oh my! Yes! I was afraid putting so many names together would turn into blaah but no, not this one, this film is actually pretty darn good i tells ya!
Swinton is so rough in this, one can tell she's got some great acting skills hidden in her pocket. Can't wait to see more of her.
Pitt is obviously so hilarious and the image of him chewing gum on the treadmill sticks after you leave the theatre.
McDormand is an amazingly talented actor and she portrays this character just perfectly.
Clooney is awesome! At moments I didn't even think about the fact that he's George Clooney up there on the screen, some good acting man. And oh yes he is so hot running up and down those hills being paraniod!
Oh, Osborne Cox, aka John Malkovich - the best character he's ever going to do! Talk about a messed up person there, and he does portray him just abundantly impressive.
The film itself then?
Well, i laughed out of shock, horror and ridicule and this sure ain't your average comedy - this is clever, this is the kind of film the ones who do not appreciate slapstick humor will love, this one relies on its audience being able to think.

It was in deed a tad bit scary at moments, but honestly - the ending! WTF was up with that ending?! IT should have ended with the explosion. And anyways the plot did not make sense at all. And what was with that constant shot of the totally computergenerized "Mayflower" building anyways? And it was very messed up. Sort of like this review. Which should give you a hint of what the movie is like.
Oh Kiefer. What to do?

Erhm. Not very impressive at all and it didn't scare me one bit. Well, except for perhaps that doll with red circles on its cheeks.

Maria Larssons eviga ögonblick (Everlasting Moments) (Maria Larsson's Everlasting Moment)

It looks fantastic at first sight. And I heard they got praise at the Toronto Film Festival, but let's be honest: it's really not all that. Sure, it has its moments and it tells a somewhat tragic story about a family in Sweden in the early 1900's that gets to you, but this film would be nothing without Mikael Persbrandt. He is the one who gets the story going, when his character makes the decisions about relocating or going on a strike, that is when things happen. So in a way this story is more about Signe Larsson than Maria Larsson.

Blades of Glory

Will Ferrell rules.

The Jane Austen Book Club

Go see it, it'll give you that icky-naaawww-ooohhh-aaaaahhh-sweet feeling. Not great but okay.

Some good action and special effects I'll give you that much, but honestly. The story in itself does not make it. Plus for being set in Chicago.

200 Cigarettes

I love it! Best New Year's movie ever. Everybody should see it.

Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia!(2008)

Awww. Slightly embarrassing, but still. Not that bad.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Beautiful scenery and an interesting storyline. Penelope Cruz is in fact very good in this, I wasn't annoyed by her once though I usually am. All in all, a very good movie.

Patrik 1,5, (Patrik Age 1.5)

Nothing fancy but very nice and humble. See it!

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

aha-aha- i am clementine. i knew mark ruffalo had it in him. meet me in montauk.

Dylan Moran: Monster

oh my god this is brilliant I love Moran!

Moulin Rouge!

freedom beauty truth and love! absinthe! give me!

American Gangster

I love it and both Washington and Crowe are outstanding actors! I simply don't understand why people seem to think this movie is too long. It's fabulous. There's no way you're not going to love it.

Tristram Shandy: A Cock & Bull Story

Honestly, it wasn't that good. But then again I'm not into this genre of "reality" movies. But I do agree there were some good and fun moments.

Tropic Thunder

This is by far Stiller's best movie ever! I really enjoyed it and somehow I never even got bored for a minute, this movie just has everything.
I don't think I ever laughed so much in a movie theater before, except when seeing the latest Rocky movie..

Alright movie..

I watched it again and I'm starting to dislike this film more and more. Whe is the movie utterly about Plath's jealousy and her relationship to Hughes? Wasn't there more to her than that? It almost gives you the feeling that this film was made in the era it portrays - wasn't she more than 'just a wife'? I wanted more of her earlier life put in there, although it does talk about her childhood somewhat I wanted more of that. And perhaps that sums up the whole movie - I want more!

Tropa de Elite (The Elite Squad)

Some great action and awesome acting. One of the best movies of the year, definately. Wagner Moura is totally awesome.

The Secret Garden

Ha ha! This is an excellent movie I saw this summer on holiday in the fair distant countryside of Finland. It is so bad it's actually good, I hate the children because I tend to not like childactors in general, but these kids are especially annoying. Which in this context of a really horrible movie becomes just a total inferno of bad things coming together resulting in - yes, you guessed it - an great Sunday-afternoon film and in a way I'd like to say watching this and liking it is very kitsch. Though the actual film in itself of course is not kitsch at all.

I saw this amazing film today and I must admit - I'm so in love with Kusturica's work now! This is by far one of the most beautiful films I have ever laid my eyes on. I laughed so hard watching it, and it also brought me to tears at one point.
The colors are gorgeous and the humour is blacker than black - and thanks to having been taught a few bad words or two in Serbian I picked up a few cursewords the translator had not bothered to include in the Swedish subtitles. This is a perfect picture of how at least I always "believe" the yugoslavs are - a stereotype of course but none the less entertaining.
I love it and I love Kusturica - oh and I almost forgot the passionate and beautiful music by Goran Bregovic - this film is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a great evening of yugoslav culture. See it now!

The Good Girl

Very soft. A dreary Sunday-afternoon movie.

Never Been Kissed

Drew Barrymore. That's the only reason this movie does it for me. She's awesome.

Los Actores
Los Actores(2003)

I completely loved this and Moran is fabulous and utterly gorgeous. How come people only notice the bad actors? I've felt that for years.

Depeche Mode: Touring the Angel

well, it's totally awesome, need i say more?

ps. martin gore. oh. the man!

Wow, I always seem to be so fascinated by these junkie-movies.. The part where Candy has scribbled all over the walls all over the house was some of the best stuff I ever heard. It is really a light movie, probably not very accurate in the sense that drugabusers in real life surely are way worse off than these two, and their most likely not as hot as Heath Ledger.

Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

a fishy fishy fish.. and it went wherever I did go..

The Happening

Ooouuhh....I'm real scared of trees now.. ;)

Sex and the City

No, I didn't feel it. And wtf was up with the ending?? No, I am truly disappointed and it did not connect very well with the tv-series either.

Mutiny on the Bounty

I've never seen such colours and such beautyshots of a ship before! This is pure pleasure and it does not feel like it lasts three whole hours. Marlon Brando is superb!
And how I miss those technicolor days..

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Not that bad. Not bad at all. Well, except for the fact that the stunts on the motorcycle obviously were not by Ford himself, but Blanchett at least was astounding in this and I couldn't take my eyes off of her, gorgeous eyes lady!

Knocked Up
Knocked Up(2007)

Yeah, hillarious at points, sometimes not so much. Tastes like a rainbow!

Mio Fratello è Figlio Unico (My Brother Is an Only Child)

Great feel-good movie with great actors, hot italians and yummy music!

Flushed Away
Flushed Away(2006)

Like most other childrens movies of today, Flushed Away becomes a tad bit boring after a while. The story doesn't quite make it all the way through.
However, it is a great film for both kids and adults, and the slugs are awesome. They are what keeps the movie going just like the penguins in Madagascar.
Oh, and was there anybody else besides me who thought the rat Sid reminded you of Robbie Williams? :)

The Queen
The Queen(2006)

A very fascinating film and I guess Mirren does quite the job in impersonating Queen Elizabeth II, but the movie lacks a storyline and it wounds up doing not very much for me. This is exactly how we imagin the British royal family to be, but I keep thinking to myself "they can't REALLY be like that, right?" but if they ARE like that in real life then that is quite the accomplishment! I mean, it must be hard work to be so snobbish and I admire them for that. And yes, I want their life and their money and all their houses. But I'm not sure if I would want all that pressure of being perfect upon me.

The scenery is splendid and the scene with the deer - those colous - aah - it was like a painting! The other panoramas of the green hills of England just made me think of Lord of the Rings, which didn't do it for me.

This movie is great as to start a conversation on monarchy vs presidency. And those discussions will entertain you an entire night if you're anything like me ;)

Oh and props to James Cromwell! The prince is so awesomely angry all the time! Loved it!

Little Red Flowers

The boy is so great and quite adorable, otherwise I don't care for children in movies as actors at all so I got a bit bored after a while.

Paris Je T'aime

I only liked the stories by the Cohen brothers (hillarious) and the one by Tome Tykwer was amazing! I love Tykwer and Natalie Portman keeps getting better and better I think. Oh, and the final story with the american french was also really good, I loved her pronunciation of the french language!
Otherwise this movie did not do much for me and it felt like a waste of time since many of these short stories did not make any sense. It is most likely because the fact that I'm not a big fan of short stories to begin with. But if you are, go see it. If only for the mimes!

Love in the Time of Cholera

By far - this belongs to one of the worst movies of all time that I've seen. It is a travesty how this ever hit the big screen! It just feels like a tv-movie and you don't get the feeling that the people who made this movie did not give that much about the end product. Anybody could spot that fake mustasch on Javier Bardem at a three mile distance. It is awful. I'm glad I haven't read the book yet, since I hear it is supposedly the exact opposite of this crap. The story did not make sense and the actors stink with their fake hispanic accents and the dialogue is even worse. The whole feeling of the movie is that it feels like a parody of some bad movie. And the actors don't give you much of anything so you don't relate to or feel any compassion for the characters.

If I must point out something that I did like about this it has to be the amazingly beautiful landscapes and the photograhpy. The music was also very enjoyable - apart from Shakiras stupid whaling..

I promise you, if you see this, and you did read the book: you will be disappointed.

Reservation Road

The first part of the movie is utterly amazing, and the acting is just fabulous. But then nothing happens to spice up the story and the rest is just a wait for the end to come. I love these actors which is probably the reason this movie was bearable and not boring.

Be Kind Rewind

Jack Black does his usual thing, and he's as hot as ever also of course, but it is nevertheless an uneven movie and it's kind of hard to get a grip on this. The jokes didn't really make me laugh out loud, but I did enjoy it and smiled a lot to myself in the theatre. I'm totally going to check out the sweded movies, especially ghostbusters as that one seems hillarious!

Street Kings
Street Kings(2008)

Yeah, so I get into my movie-seat and figure I'm about to watch a cool action-flick with some great acting - I mean, a few of my absolute favourite actors are in this: Keanu Reeves, Hugh Laurie and Forest Whitaker..they're all awesome. But what happens? This may be the worst script ever and the dialogue completely stinks and it would only take an idiot to not figure out who the real bad guys are before it's all revealed in the ending.
"How could this movie ever have even been filmed?" I think to myself, and then the ending credits roll and oh there's the answer it's the same writer who was behind another big disappointment: The Black Dahlia. So from now on, I will make sure I don't watch anything with a connection to James Ellroy.

Dan in Real Life

It'd kind of boring and the jokes don't quite make it and I didn't connect with any of the caracters except maybe for Dan himself and his reactions after he finds out about his brother's girlfriend.
And Juliette Binoche doesn't impress me in any way at all. Neither do the bad jokes.

4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days

It's not at all as impressive as everybody says but it's good!

3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)

Definately worth watching. Russel Crowe is awesome as the bad guy! My first western-movie at the cinema and it was better than I expected. Now I gotta go find the original and see that too.

w Delta z
w Delta z(2006)

Okay, where tostart? Bad acting, bad directing, bad script, bad dialogue, even worse photograhy and what else? Oh yeah, bad storyline too.
I seriously considered walking out of the theatre.

Wow. Think of every movie-cliché you know and there you have the movie. Don't bother watching it.

The Color Purple

I finally got to wach this, as a project in school so it was on the big screen! I must say I quite loved it. Steven Spielberg IS my favourite director of all time I guess and this is the reason why. It is beautifully filmed and even though this movie is almost as old as me, it does not have that old feel to it. It's a definite classic that everybody should see, if only for the purple blossoms in the field.. And yes, I admit. I shed a tear at the end. Which of course was quickly wiped away, due to my coolness!

Chances Are
Chances Are(1989)

I really loved this story when I was a kid and I believe I fell in love with Downey Jr. watching this :)

Things We Lost in the Fire

My first Halle Berry-movie and though she actually performs well I can't say I'm that impressed. As always, Benicio del Toro does everything to convince me that he has an addictive persona in real life, and on the plus side he's so hot at times I feel I might explode in my seat at the cinema. I've never felt so attracted to a druggie! Anyways, I started craving for some danish while watching it :P probably due to a lack of interest of the movie after about thirty-five minutes. It started off well, loses it, then gets it back, but loses it again at the end. It could have been a really good movie had it had a better script.
Except for good photography - although the close-ups tend to annoy me after the first three shots - and a great performance by Del Toro, I was rather disappointed. I expected more - probably due to scandinavian patriotism ;)

Superhero Movie

The only REALLY good thing in this movie is the Tom Cruise-impersonation!! I loved it!! :) But don't waste your money on this, please.

Rambo (Rambo IV)

I expected waay less out of this which may have upgraded its grade. While there is a political aspect in this movie that should be taken very seriously, I would like to point out that I am not trying to mock the real conflict in Burma (oh, how very pc. of me!) - BUT -
This turns out to be a very entertaining movie and Stallone is awesome as Rambo! I never laughed so hard during the credits at a movie that was not supposed to be laughesd at! I loved it and it sure is a movie worth while. Rambo is THE MAN and you know it too so go see this movie, now!

Tjenare kungen (God Save the King)

This is one of the few cool Swedish flicks you can find out there. So go see it! [Longer comments coming up!]

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Watching the first thirty minutes was utter sheer pain and it didn't exactly move up from there..

Everything is Illuminated

I laughed, I cried..this movie has it all. It's fabulous. Go see it. Now.

La Cienaga
La Cienaga(2001)

This is a wonderful piece of work, no real plot and if you're one of those who need one and prefers movies with lots of action, this is not for you. However, I found this film to be very entertaining and it also made me laugh at times. The first scenes are beautifully shot and captured me immediately. There's no real way of saying what it's about, just that you get a view into the lives of a few people. The sexual tension is all over the place even though there's not a bit of sex there.
All in all, it was a lot better than I expected.

Blaah.. I was so looking forward to this film, and it is very beautifully shot and has some lovely music in it and James McAvoy was as good as expected. Yet this was a huge disappointment. The major flaw as I see it is that the story itself lacks enough action and one can sure tell that it is a book-adaptation because of the silly ending.
Disregarding the fact that I saw this film on an airplane [which could chip it's quality] and the fact that i LOVE the soundtrack - this film was not at all what was expected on my behalf. And here I thought Keira Knightley was going to ruin a good movie..

Kill Buljo: The Movie

If you enjoyed Kill Bill you might enjoy this, but there are a lot of cheap laughs and it's very predictable - as you might expect a parody to be.

Not too shabby actually.

The Painted Veil

Very beautiful, but it somehow lacks that extra spice that would have kept my interest alive throughout the movie had it been there. And they probably could've cut out about 30 mins worth of film too. Yet the final scene wraps it all up for me and I must give it a well worth three and a half stars.

The Departed
The Departed(2006)

Mark Wahlberg is hillarious! And Leonardo di Caprio is - as always - amazing.

We Own the Night

I strangely got the feeling that I've seen this movie before. But though the ending's a bit off, it's fabulous the first thirty-something minutes. And Joaquin Phoenix is awesome!

I Am Legend
I Am Legend(2007)

Good idea, but maybe they should've put some more effort into the ending.. Smith really is a good actor.

I renounce the fact that some people call this a documentary, when it's obviously not. However, it is an interesting and sometimes hillarious movie and will surely give Clinton some extra votes.
The word that comes to my mind after seeing this is ironic.

To Love Someone (Den man älskar)

I rather liked it, though the ending was a little off.

The Golden Compass

Not very much to fuss about, I'd expected more. The icebears were the highpoint of this movie. Hopefully number 2 will be better.

The Kid
The Kid(1921)

Nothing can measure up to dear old Charlie..

The Big Blue
The Big Blue(1988)

Well I thought it was rather beautiful and I don't even like dolphins that much.

American Cuisine

I probably liked this film when I saw it because I remember having quite a crush on Jason Lee..

Les Visiteurs (The Visitors )

I remember seeing this in french class in ninth grade or something and how we laughed at it.

The Deer Hunter

It's been said before but no harm in doing it again: this is surely an excellent masterpiece. I can't believe I didn't take my time to see it sooner. I'm stunned by both De Niro and Walken (they're both such hot young men in this too I think I might die) and Streep has always been a favourite of mine. I think the closing scene when they sing "God bless america" is my favourite of the moment. And also, who can't help but just admire the whole wedding-part?
Christopher Walken: you got yourself another fan.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

Surprisingly, I found this quite entertaining. Not a masterpiece of any sort, and a bit too long and predictable - however I found it rather fun to watch and I realized how weird Cage seems to me.. and there's something off with his hair..

Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive

One of the most touching documentaries I've seen. Beautiful.

The Aristocrats

I watched about 15mins of this before I gave up and turned it off. Seemed like B.S. to me. An no, it wasn't even funny.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

It's a great warm fluffy and fabulous movie, yet I find myself having a real hard time bearing to watch Hepburn. There's something about her that annoys me. But she does look stunning in this and George Peppard is also just beautiful.

Under the Olive Trees (Zire darakhatan zeyton) (Through the Olive Trees)

Honestly I did not understand it. But I guess there was some beautiful scenery. And if not for any other reason, you must see it, and then make your friends see it so you can all laugh about it. That's what happened to me.

Buffalo '66
Buffalo '66(1998)

All I can say is "Wendy Balsam" - what a fabulous name! And the scene where Gallo's desperate for a toilet in his red shoes, aaaww - who could not like that?

Talvisota (Winter War)

SAving Private Ryan eat your heart out, and Spielberg I know you wish you'd have directed this one. It's great.

Well there it is, Dunst can't act and this could have been pretty nice to watch but no, it just didn't do it for me. And I have a weird i-hate-you-but-secretly-think-you-look-kind-of-cute-relationship with Orlando Bloom. He needs to grow up I guess, in ten years i'll love him.

Vanilla Sky
Vanilla Sky(2001)

It might have been better with a different cast.

I remember it being a bit boring but still quite entertaining. Probably due to my company when I was watching it. I must see it sometime again and re-evaluate. But I do love the concept of people sneaking into other people's houses.

This is the first movie I've seen with Portman and in which I actually liked her and her character. Though one could easily sense the adaptation from play into screenplay on the big screen, it worked and it turned out to be completely different from what I thought it'd be.

Wicker Park
Wicker Park(2004)

It was a tad bit slow at first, but after about an hour it actually turned into something really good. Too bad the ending ruined it for me, I would have wanted for Lisa and Matthew to never meet at the airport. But then again I guess I'm more the Alex-type :P I bet they broke up three weeks after their little reunion.

I actually quite enjoyed this, it was more entertaining than I expected it to be. The penguins were so cute. Though I never quite got what was so hillarious about them..

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2)

Oh my what a waste of time. If only the actors could learn to act. And oh my whoever wrote the dialogues and the so-called jokes and in fact, whoever made this movie ever happen should be put to sleep. By Predator. Or an alien.

I was so happy when I saw this, though it might've been slightly too long, it was rather perfect. And the scene with the song "how will she know" in the park was the best part of the movie. I can't believe I actually would NOT mind seeing it again.

Definately worth watching.

Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna

I kept falling asleep while watching this..

Arn - Tempelriddaren (Arn: The Knight Templar)

For lack of a better word - this was embarassing and how I wish I could get those 2.5 hours of my life back..

Russian Ark
Russian Ark(2002)

Alright, and very beautiful and interesting..

Marie Antoinette

Yes, oh yes. How I wish for a life of the likes of this. But why on earth were we deprived of Marie-Antoinette's head in the guilloutine?!

Probably the most beautiful movie ever in its genre. Totally worthwhile and Clooney is always fabulous, hot and oh so talented.

Very sweet and likeable.
Go see it now!
Robert de Niro rules! -aarrrgh-

Totally not fun. I'm so over the whole sex-thing. But at least the cops were fun and entertaining and Seth Rogen is great.

My Best Friend

It could have been all that and fun, but naah, didn't stick with me at all. And what's up with it turning into a commercial for Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? at the end??!

Ensemble, c'est tout (Hunting and Gathering)

Really sweet and entertaining flick..but Tautou is just mostly walking around being pretty and sweet and cute Amelie-style which makes me wonder, can she really act or is that Amelie-thing just an act? My grade may have been affected by having bad luck with movies recently.

If anybody wants to know how badly a film can suck, see this. Completely NON-scary and very predictable. The extra star's just for my semi-crush on Cusack.

Death at a Funeral

Despite the fact that it's a bit predictable at times, it's really entertaining and just hillarious!

The Pest
The Pest(1997)

Hillarious!! Or at least that's what I thought when I saw it somewhat ten years ago..

Seres queridos

This was a really fun movie, but I missed the beginning though, so I must see it again before I can give ALL my comments on this one!

It was definately okey, but mostly thanks to the actors that i really like: Christina Ricci, Milo Ventimiglia and Portia de Rossi (who was on for like two minutes??). Otherwise I would never have seen this.

IT's a little long but its lovely - though i never could stand english actors portraying people from a non-english-speaking country..

The Dreamers
The Dreamers(2004)

I'm not impressed..

Secret Window

Blaah.. Just feels like I've already seen this movie about a kazillion times before..

A Clockwork Orange

Still got issues with Kubrick.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Nope, still don't car much about Kubrick. I thought this was going to be so awesome, and I remember how disappointed I was when I finally saw it five years ago. Still don't like Kubrick.

This is actually way better than I though it'd be.

The Constant Gardener

As always, these movies set in Africa are beautiful..

A rather embarrassing film, and it was utter accident that I saw it!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The film has this cool, colourful almost animated touch to its look that I like. Depp makes me think of Michael Jackson in some mysterious way..
The kid who plays Charlie really gets on my nerves, they did such a good job casting the other parts so why couldn't they find a better Charlie??
The OompaLoompa-songs were also a disappointment. But still, Burton has done a rather good job.

The Librarian: Quest for the Spear

It COULD be so much better, the idea's fairly good - the execution is just not very well performed.. And it's not Wyle's fault!

The Prestige
The Prestige(2006)

Truly amazing.. Can't believe it took me so long to see it!! Thanks Die**

The Simpsons Movie

Oh yes THANK GOD it's not another "The Southpark Movie"-attempt - they actually managed to pull this one off! I was so scared it was going to suck so the feeling I had soaring through my body during the (lovely) credits was pure relief.
Thanx Groening.
Thank you for not screwing this up.

The Last King of Scotland

This is an excellent piece of work and a must-see (like Blood Diamond) for everybody. I was so terribly frightened by Whitaker from the first minute til the last. Not surprised he got an Oscar for this outstanding performance. It's rare nowadays that you see an actor perform like this. I'm very, very impressed.

Flags of Our Fathers

Great flick by Eastwood, can't wait to see the second part now. Obviously I kept thinking "Saving Private Ryan, Saving Private Ryan!!" every couple of minutes which sort of ruined it for me at some points, and one can definately feel the Spielberg touch throughout it (if you seen Band of Brothers, you'll know what I'm talking about).
Great actors, great storytelling on a very great subject - which one would think might be a current subject considering the current the state of the world.

Little Miss Sunshine

Awesome - I laughed so hard I cried!

Just Like Heaven

Obviously Mark Ruffalo carries the whole film, if it weren't for him
I'd never have seen it in the first place. It's sweet, perfect for a lazy summerday.

Excellent!! Can't believe I actually recognized some of the characters when I watched it the other night, as I only saw it as a kid twenty years ago. The music is great and the actors are all superb. Somehow it doesn't feel outdated even today.

Pay It Forward

Always expected Pay It Forward to be crappy but surprisingly it wasn't all that bad. Usually I dislike movies with kids in them and this is not an exception.

White Squall
White Squall(1996)

At first glance I thought well this must be a really crappy piece of crap. And reluctantly I watched it. SYNCHRONIZED in German.
However, two of my favourite male actors - they're both delicious - star in this movie as young skinny little boys, Ryan Philippe and Jeremy Sisto, who were the only reason why I eventually decided to see this film in the first place. Too bad though that that guy from that tv-series from the 1990's about the kids living at home alone portraits the main character here..

SURPRISINGLY it turned out to be quite a good movie, but then again, I've always been fascinated by water and the ocean..

I'll have to see it again sometime soon though, in English of course - so I can determine if it's worth a fiver or not.

Ocean's Thirteen

Okay George, after this I think I MIGHT be able to forgive you for Ocean's 12.. I'm not sure yet, but I MIGHT forgive you..

Live Free or Die Hard

Freakin awesome! I believe I watched it with my mouth open throughout most of it.. I mean, he killed a freakin helicopter with a car!!
All I can say is: yippie-ki-yay mf!

Brokeback Mountain

I suppose this was waaay to haussed in the media, for when i finally saw it i couldn't see what all the fuss was about. So what if they're gay!?

Becoming Jane

It is with great reluctance that I'm going to say this now but, all these Jane Austen-movies are the same. Watching this was like watching "Pride and Prejudice" and "Sense and Sensibility" put into one single film. (More often than not, I kept thinking about how much this resembles "Pride and..." and I was stunned that it wasn't the same director!) The ironic thing is this is actually about Austen herself.

Don't get me wrong though, I love these Austen-films. They're always very humouristic and it's always a pleasure watching the English countryside that is so beatiful. I will especially always keep with me the scene at the beach, when you see it you'll know what I mean..

This is exactly what you expect this film to be. Nice performance by Hathaway, but sometimes this story doesn't quite feel "believable".

Pride and Prejudice

I really don't like Keira Knightley, but I try my best doing so in this. For this is surely bittersweet and beautiful. Matthew MacFayden is truly awesome as Mr. Darcy..

Independence Day

I love it, i love it - I LOVE IT!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

The first movie was so-so. But they keep getting better and better. This is fabulously entertaining!! However, Keira Knightley just feels so wrong, some of the scenes with her i felt so embarrassed for her. And the silly romantic scenes with Orlando Bloom also made me hide behind the palms of my hands.
Too bad the cheesy ending ruined it all. But i - oh how i do love Jack Sparrow!! And i can't wait to see what he's up to next.. :)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

They just keep getting better and better. Too bad Keira Knightley ruins it all..

What's Eating Gilbert Grape

The extra star is for Leo's fabulous performance.

Charlie's Angels

You know how some movies make you think - WTF?!?!?!?!
This is pure crap. I cannot understand what the hell Drew Barrymore was thinking doing this sh*t. Maybe I would understand this if I was an American and loved the series..but dude, noo I dont think anybody could actually like this..

Gangs of New York

Why!? What happened?! I never got through the whole film, i turned it off when Leo was going to get it on with Cameron - who wasn't a very believable thief..(maybe because i can't stand looking at her!) Too bad, because Leo was kinda hot in this one :P

Million Dollar Baby

I fell asleep after 29 minutes..

My Life in Pink (Ma Vie en Rose)

I'm sad to say this film didn't touch me as i thought it'd do..guess because i wasn't provoked by it. But at least Georges Du Fresne looked very pretty!

American Psycho

I didn't quite understand this since the book was - and is - sucha masterpiece.

The 40 Year Old Virgin

I was kind of scared that this would be another sex-obsessed comedy like "Me, Myself & Irene" but this turned out quite good and entertaining. Like "Bad Santa" or something..

Sophie Scholl: The Final Days

Very haunting somehow, it makes me glad that someone would die for their beliefs like this. No masterpiece, but still it's quite good.

This was better than White Oleander, it made much more sense and i didn't vomit while watching it.

All i can say is that the movie poster did it for me. Otherwise i thought it was rather boring. Maybe i ought to see it again to see if it makes more sense. There were some fun parts though, but i suspect they showed all the good parts of the movie in the trailers and teasers on tv, cause i sure was disappointed.

I do not understand what all the fuss is about.

21 Grams
21 Grams(2003)

This is a beautiful film that went straight to my heart..I carried it with me for some time after i saw it.

It was alright, but nothing really profound happened in this film. I was kind of disappointed because i love Innaritu's other films and sadly this one didn't touch me at all, not the way 21 Grams did. Loved the Tokyo-parts though, and the music. The song at the end where Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett leave in a helicopter, was beautiful.

I think just about everybody was in this movie, and three of my favourite male actors made my visit to the theatre that night somewhat wonderful. For the combination of Robert Downey JR, Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo was perfect. I was especially impressed by the latters performance, if you've seen Ruffalo in "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" you'll know what I mean when you see this.
Zodiac is an exquisite piece of work, Fincher's attention to detail in this film is somewhat impressive. I will especially keep the wardrobe in mind, the clothing looked so authentic.
All in all, I left the movie theatre just before midnight, feeling impressed, in love with Ruffalo, frightened and looking over my shoulder while walking from the car into my flat.
I really, really like it.

Downfall (Der Untergang)

It could be a masterpiece, but I think it's a little too long..

Bowling for Columbine

So very very boring. Too bad.

Monsieur Batignole

It's nice to see that it is possible to make a rather sweet and soft film about such a tragic story. There are quite a few fun moments and the amount of comedy is just about right. Sort of a feel-good film though the kid is kind of annoying.

Burnt by the Sun

A love-story covered up in the tragedies of the era of Stalin. Beautiful scenery that fills my heart with nostalgia..

Beautiful scenery with the austrailian countryside..lacked a bit of drama though..

Wonder Boys
Wonder Boys(2000)

This is a job well done. Perfect mix of splendid actors and a well-written story. It has a little touch of everything!

This movie is so scary, but also so much fun! A real classic that everyone should see.

This is a fabulously awesome 80's flick!

Lethal Weapon 4

Oh, this one i hillarious! I don't know how many times we've watched the clip about phones, where Chris Rock talks about why they make them cell phones so small!

The Fifth Element

Just love this one, when i first saw it, i SO wanted to have Milla's hair and just be her.. <:)

Orange County

This one is hillarious, but i don't think it would have been as good without Jack Black, he sure can lift up a movie! I always laugh at the part where he's trying to explain how the fire got started.. Great!

Inside Man
Inside Man(2006)

Very cool and clever film! Foster, Owen and Washington are all great actors, but this flick was a little too long for my taste.. Great music though!

Sweet little flick about a sad destiny.. Maggie Gyllenhaal carries the whole movie until the end.

La Vie en Rose (La Mome)

I love this. Sometimes I can't even see Marion Cotillard, it's as though the spirit of Edit came down to Earth again.. Strong performance, strong scenery and of course strong music. If you have a personal relationship with Piaf's music, you might find yourself leaving the movietheatre in tears when "Je ne regrette rien" ends the film.

Good Bye, Lenin!

Makes me drift away to Berlin..Perhaps a little too long, but it's a perfect mix of fun, drama and poetry.. Great score by Yann Tiersen!

The Lives of Others

Truly amazing, I could see it a thousand times and I'd still love it just as much. Great Soundtrack as well.

Prozac Nation

I do not understand this. the book was utterly amazing and in this they massacred it. I'm sad, because I love Ricci. But I'm dissappointed.

White Oleander

This is just awful, the actors who are portraing the characters are all wrong and half of the plot was left out! What is this?? Read the book in stead. Read it! Read it NOW.

Blood Diamond

I never saw a film i felt so strongly about afterwards. And mr Di Caprio just keeps on impressing, seems there's nothing he can't do.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Great flick that doesn't feel outdated even though it's been around fifty somewhat years.. And of course, the scene where Marilyn does her famous Diamonds-song is fabulous and one can't help but to sing along..

Do not even bother to see it!

Philip Seymour Hoffman is truly amazing..

I've seen this film a thousand times it seems. And I'm just as scared every time i see it.

The Hours
The Hours(2002)

It makes me want to be a writer..

Saving Private Ryan

Utterly amazing..what else could one possibly say?
