Alice in Wonderland
½

Awesome. Beautiful music (Elfman's music sounds very similar in every movie, but it's still beautiful).

In every adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland," the Mad Hatter is usually my favorite character, and this version is one of the best (and not just because it's Johnny Depp). He's always a fun character, but generally not a well-rounded one. This Hatter has depth; he's more than just a riddle-loving, tea-drinking, hat-making madman.

"You're completely bonkers. Off your head. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are." Indeed.

Return to Never Land

Cute movie. "I'll Try" is a beautiful song.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)

Cute and relatively amusing, but not as good as the first two.

Hotel for Dogs
½

Much better than I expected. Cute movie that parallels"unwanted" kids lost in the foster care system with "unwanted" stray dogs in the pound.

How to Train Your Dragon

Very cute and funny movie. Hiccup's dry, somewhat sarcastic humor made me giggle, as did the dragons' similarities to cats. I want a Night-fury!

Hoot
Hoot(2006)
½

Cute kids' movie.

Galaxy Quest
Galaxy Quest(1999)
½

Very silly, but hilarious spoof on Star Trek and the like.

Up
Up(2009)
½

Very cute and imaginative.

Arthur and the Invisibles (Arthur and the Minimoys)
½

Cute movie. The Minimoys are adorable. There's a bit of an ick factor for me because of the "romance" (?) between Arthur and the princess (he's 10, and she's an adult), increased by the fact that she's voiced by Madonna, who's probably old enough to be Freddie Highmore's grandmother.

Avatar
Avatar(2009)

Epically awesome. Beautiful. Themes of environmentalism, tolerance, and

Eloise at Christmastime

Absolutely adorable. It was interesting to see Julie Andrews in this role; in most of her roles she's so proper, but in this, she was somewhat disheveled, run ragged by the irrepressible Eloise, and spoke with a thicker accent likened to Cockney.

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
½

I gave in and watched it. It wasn't as bad as I expected, which still isn't saying much. It still irks me that they wrote out Bernard as if he was never there...though Curtis says something along the lines "I'm the head elf *now*" [emphasis mine] which leads me to think he offed Bernard for his job.

Ernest Saves Christmas
½

Cute and hilarious. RIP Jim Varney.

Barnyard
Barnyard(2006)

Not nearly as stupid as I thought it would be. It actually had a pretty good plot and theme--growing up and taking responsibility. Usually previews "mislead" by taking the funniest bits to put in the preview, and the rest of the movie is dull and/or stupid. The previews for this, however, seemed to take the stupider parts, ignoring the plot (I totally thought it was about getting back at the obnoxious cow-tipping boy...but that's only a small, unnecessary part).

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

I was a little skeptical of Joey Gordon Levitt playing Cobra Commander, but he really pulled it off.

Overboard
Overboard(1987)

Though the focus, of course, was on the budding romance between "Annie" and Dean, I enjoyed watching herrelationship with the four boys grow just as much, if not more so. She goes from referring to them as "the spawn of Hell" to passionately defending them against their obnoxious teacher (my favorite scene).

The fact that stars Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel are a couple in real life just adds to the cuteness factor.

Strong PG.

Seven Dwarfs (7 Zwerge)

German comedy film (I watched with English subtitles) very loosely based on the fairy tale of "Snow White". Silly, stupid humor reminiscent of "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" and "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" but not quite as good. I think Cloudy was my favorite zwerg--his dry, sarcastic delivery made me giggle. Hey zwerge, hey zwerge, hey zwerge, ho!

X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Amazing! The opening credits montage was particularly well done. Loved Gambit (I knew I would). Answered some questions and brought up soe new ones. They seriously need to make an X-4, during which Rogue must break up with Iceman and hook up with Gambit because it's meant to be! <3

Where the Toys Come From

I LOVED this movie when I was a kid. Must find it on DVD.

The Ant Bully

Cute and pretty amusing (though a lot of the humor is gross...but that's the kind of thing kids seem to like, I guess). The themes are what I like most about this movie--bullying, teamwork, viewing life from others' perspectives, even faith. It's not just another ant movie. Even if it seems a bit silly, I definitely think it's worth watching.

The NeverEnding Story III
½

Nowhere near as good as the first 2. It's kinda amusing to see a young Jack Black, though.

The Muppets' Wizard of Oz
½

This was amusing, but SOOO weird, and Gonzo-Tinman with his chicken fetish is just creepy.

The Color of Friendship

Probably one of the best DCOMs ever.

Sabrina Down Under

Yay merpeople! in Australia!

My Date With the President's Daughter
½

Hilarious. I love Will Friedle.

Motocrossed
Motocrossed(2001)
½

Girl power movie with the "girl disguised as boy" plot. Cute.

Model Behavior

Tolerable DCOM with the "identical strangers trade places" plot. Justin Timberlake demonstrates that acting is not his strong suit.

Lucky 7
Lucky 7(2003)

Cute romantic comedy starring Kimberley Williams-Paisley.

Brink!
Brink!(1998)

Pretty good DCOM starring Erik von Detten, Patrick Levis, and Christina Vidal.

A Mom for Christmas
½

Cute Christmas movie, reminiscent of the Pygmalion myth.

Tower of Terror

Ok movie. Worth seeing for fans of Steve Gutenberg or Kirsten Dunst.

The Worst Witch
½

Another weird childhood favorite. Based on a cute children's book series.

Sybil
Sybil(1976)
½

Very good, but very disturbing movie.

The Ron Clark Story

Awesome, inspirational movie.

Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas

Cute, but doesn't come close to the original in awsomeness. The song "As Long As There's Christmas" is pretty.

Man of the House

Pretty amusing (step)father-son bondnig flick.

Shrek the Third

This was ok. The first, as usual, is the best of the series.

The Hugga Bunch

Yet another childhood favorite.

My Little Pony
½

Very cute movie. gotta love '80s cartoons.

Care Bears: The Nutcracker

Very cute version of the Nutcracker.

The Care Bears Movie
½

Yet another strange, kinda creepy, childhood favorite. But still, these Care Bear movies from the '80s are so much better than the more recent CGI ones.

The Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation

I like this one better than the first Care Bear movie. I love the end.

Peter Pan
Peter Pan(1953)
½

Not one of my favorite Disney movies, but there are worse ones.

Tinker Bell
Tinker Bell(2008)
½

Very cute movie. I love Bobble.

Unico (The Fantastic Adventures of Unico)

Another childhood favorite. I watched some weird stuff when I was a kid...

Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure

A childhood favorite. Very strange, but I love it. Pretty songs.

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride

Definitely one of the best Disney sequels. Almost as good as the first, but not quite...but The Lion King is a hard act to follow.

Addams Family Values
½

Most of the movie is pretty stupid, but it's worth watching for the camp scenes. Hilarious!

The Indian in the Cupboard
½

Cute movie, but the book series, as usual, is much better.

Jumper
Jumper(2008)
½

Not nearly as good as I expected, but still pretty cool. It seemed really rushed (it was shorter than the average movie...they could have done some more with the storyline...) Awesome special effects.

Gremlins
Gremlins(1984)
½

Comic "horror."

Railway Dragon
½

This was a very cute movie.

The Flight of Dragons
½

I only remember bits and pieces of this movie, but I know that I liked it. Made by the same people as "The Hobbit."

Men in Black II

It probably would have made more sense if I had seen the first one.
It kinda reminded me of Gremlins.

Adventures in Dinosaur City

Gotta love the weird movies that came out of the '80s and early '90s.
I had a crush on Omri Katz when I was a kid, lol.

Moonlight and Mistletoe
½

Cute, romantic made-for-TV holiday movie. Not an incredibly original plot, but that's not always a bad thing.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Cute, funny family movie. I had a fangirl-ish moment when I saw who the voice actors of the Chipmunks were; I'm fond of all 3. Loved the brother relationship the boys have with each other and the developing parent-child relationship with Dave (the latter being a major theme of the movie). However, it was a bit anti-climactic, beginning to drag towards the end. The "Uncle Ian the Mean Manager" plot felt overdone; i would have preferred more emphasis on Dave's internal conflict.

All Dogs Go To Heaven

Parts heart-warming, tear-jerking, and sometimes rather disturbing.

Flubber
Flubber(1997)

Funny, though it falls short in comparison to other Robin Williams movies.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

A classic and a landmark in film history being the first full-length animated feature film. Grumpy and Dopey make me giggle. But Snow White herself is Too Stupid To Live. Thogh she gets credit for being smarter than the original fairy tale version; she only gets tricked once, rather than *three* times, by the evil queen.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

One of those classics that you MUST watch every Christmas.

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town

Classic Rankin-Bass Christmas film. Very catchy songs. And Mickey Rooney's warm friendly voice was perfect for Santa.

Jack Frost
Jack Frost(1979)

Gotta love these old Rankin-Bass Christmas films. This is one of my favorites.

Kronk's New Groove

Another Disney straight-to-DVD sequel consisting of several loosely connected shorts. *sigh* Disappointment.

The Cheetah Girls

Pretty average DCOM fare. Catchy music.

Disturbia
Disturbia(2007)
½

I didn't intend to see this movie (not a fan of scary movies) but it was pretty good. Shia LaBeouf has come a long way from Disney Channel's "Even Stevens." I believe this has now become the scariest movie I've ever seen--keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you jump, and makes you suspicious of quiet, elderly neighbors.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Awesome. While I'm not really into gory stuff, the blood was really fake-looking (like the blood in Monty Python and the Holy Grail) so it wasn't *too* gross. Highly amusing, actually. Tim Burton movies have some pretty cool cinematography.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
½

I got that whole goosebumps-and-teary-eyes reaction when Queen Athena died, despite the fact that it happened within the first 10 minutes. Benjamin the (somewhat deformed-looking) Manatee was amusing. As was Flounder's little rap. Wonder what turned the mischevious little guy in this movie into the neurotic little spaz of the original? And...OMG MERBABIES!!! Ok, I'm done. But they were seriously cute.

Hidalgo
Hidalgo(2004)
½

Pretty awesome movie overall, very engrossing, though a bit gorier than I prefer. I wanted to smack some people several times throughout the movie...stupid, arrogant, sexist jerks *grumble*. Hopeless romantic that I am, I was disappointed by the lack of a romantic subplot...it was touched on but then...nada...would have been better *not* to have the obvious chemistry. Couldn't get over how gorgeous "Hidalgo" was. And I must say, Viggo Mortenson is much hotter as a cowboy than a Tolkien character. ;)

Get Smart
Get Smart(2008)

This movie was awesome! Gotta love action-comedy. Carell's deadpan delivery was perfect, and Hathaway was as gorgeous as she was kick-@$$. And, of course, The Rock makes everything awesome.

Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World
½

Not as good as the original, but it is defeinitely one of the better Disney sequels.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Hilarious, classic teen movie. The foul language was a bit excessive though (Mr. Rooney even used the f-word!).

The Princess Bride

Hilarious and ever so quotable..."My name is Inigo Montoya..." LOL.

The Lake House

Awesome romance movie with a unique premise and a suspenseful ending.

Mulan
Mulan(1998)

Beautiful music and animation (one of the coolest title sequences ever!) And of course...girl power!

The Emperor's New Groove

Very silly. Makes me giggle every time.

The Lion King

Definitely a classic, "must see before you die" movie. Laugh-out-loud parts as well as tear-jerking parts, combined with an amazing soundtrack and beautiful animation.

Tarzan II
Tarzan II(2005)

Disney is making far too many "sequels" that take place in the middle of the original movie.

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

There are better animated movies, but there are worse (a lot worse). Michelle Pfeiffer is pretty cool as the cunning evil goddess (Eris, I think...)

Angels in the Outfield
½

I don't normally like sports movies, but this is about much more than baseball...it's about faith.

Brother Bear
Brother Bear(2003)
½

Not as good as I expected, though it was still pretty good. Heart-wrinching and chill-inducing in parts, reminiscent of the emotion in Lion King.
Awesome soundtrack (Phil Collins!)
Lovely animation--similar character design to that in Lilo and Stitch, and interestingly the backgrounds retain a painted look. The transformation scene was beautiful.

Max Keeble's Big Move

McGinty vs. McGoogles cracks me up. Especially amusing considering Noel Fisher (McGinty) is the voice actor of Toad on X-Men: Evolution.

The Jungle Book
½

Definitely a classic every Disney fan should see (if not own).

The Ugly Dachshund
½

Makes me want a Great Dane :)

The Road to El Dorado

Hilarious! Gotta love buddy movies.

Christmas With the Kranks
½

Not as stupid as I thought it would be, but not a favorite either.

Seventeen Again
½

Cute movie. Young!Gene is hot :) ...Man, Tahj Mowry plays a lot of kid geniuses.

Mulan II
Mulan II(2003)

While not as good as the first, still a pretty good movie, one of the better Disney sequels.

Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story
½

It was ok, but not NEARLY as awesome as the first two. Diverges significantly from the book series.

Anne of Green Gables

Love this movie! Definitely the best version.

Sky High
Sky High(2005)

The character of Warren Peace was definitely my favorite part of this movie. And not just because he was hot (pun intended), but he was interesting and complex. Steven Strait is a wonderful actor.

Steel Magnolias

One of those movies that have you cracking up at one moment, bawling the next.

Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man 3(2007)

Good movie...not as good as the first two, but still good. I think the main problem was that there was so much going on in one movie...the plot was all over the place and rather loosely connected. Awesome special effects, though. And Emo!Spidey makes me giggle.

The Scorpion King

Loved it. Very well-choreographed fight scenes and an awesome soundtrack. "The Rock," if you'll pardon the pun, ROCKS. It sucks that his character is all evil in The Mummy Returns...don't get how he goes from being hero to monster... Of course this is a very fantasized ancient world, not at all historically accurate, but it was meant to be entertaining, not educational.

Amazing Grace

Wonderful, powerful movie.

Alice in Wonderland
½

Another childhood favorite. Cute music. And seeing all those old stars is rather amusing.

The Frog Prince
½

Adorable movie. one of my childhood favorites. I love the music.

Chicken Run
Chicken Run(2000)

Dumb, but nevertheless amusing at points.

13 Going on 30
½

Cute movie. I want to learn the Thriller dance, lol.

Enchanted(2007)

Amazing! I loved looking for all the little referneces and spoofs of other Disney movies in it.

Mr. Boogedy
Mr. Boogedy(1986)

Watched this movie every Halloween on the Disney Channel...I wonder why they don't show it anymore?

Blast From the Past

One of the funniest movies i've ever seen!

Cars
Cars(2006)
½

Adorable movie. I loved how the things in our human world were adapted to work in a world of cars--the flies were little VW Bugs!

Deck the Halls
½

I enjoy stupid, ridiculous humor to a point, but this movie pushes the limit.

Back to the Future Part II
½

Pretty good, but not early as good as the first.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

AWESOME! Every bit as good as the first one.

The Mummy Returns
½

Probably not *quite* as good as the first one, but close. Only complaint: the special effects on the Scorpion King really sucked.

The Mummy
The Mummy(1999)
½

Awesome! It wasn't as scary is I expected (which is a plus for me)...just really creepy...especially with a storm outside, lol. Very funny. I love Brendan Fraser.

Ratatouille
Ratatouille(2007)
½

Very cute, amusing movie. Not as good as Finding Nemo, but better than The Incredibles.

Never Been Kissed

Very funny and touching, too.

RocketMan
RocketMan(1997)

Hilarious! Very, very silly but hilarious. IT WASN'T ME!!

Brother Bear 2
½

Cute movie. Not as good as the first with it's gorgeous music and imagery, but cute.

Charlotte's Web
½

Very sweet and touching movie. Lots of wonderful themes: friendship, loyalty, and "ordinary miracles." Speaking of which, the song "Ordinary Miracles," sung by Sarah McLachlan, was beautiful. And the sheep made me giggle. Still think spiders are creepy though, lol.

Annie
Annie(1982)

Not the greatest movie, but it's a classic.

Ice Princess
Ice Princess(2005)
½

Cute, inspiring movie. I didn't think I'd like it nearly as much as I did.

Home Alone 3
Home Alone 3(1997)

Pretty sad in comparison to the first two.

Ella Enchanted
½

Cute movie. Slannen amuses me greatly.

My Girl
My Girl(1991)

Pretty good movie I suppose, but it makes me cry.

102 Dalmatians
½

I really only watched this because Ioan Gruffudd is in it.

Home Alone
Home Alone(1990)
½

Classic Christmas movie.

Samantha - An American Girl Holiday

I would have liked it better if it stuck more closely to the books. I like the Felicity one better, even though it also veered from the books...but then again that might be because I just like the Felicity stories better anyway...meh, whatever.

Dinosaur
Dinosaur(2000)
½

The animation in this movie is awesome, with the real scenery blended into the CGI scenery.

The Santa Clause

Awesome. Never fails to make me laugh. Bernard rules!

X2: X-Men United

The makeup art and the special effects of these mvies are amazing. I loved Nightcrawler. And Lady Deathstryke was pretty awesome, too.

Return to Oz
Return to Oz(1985)

I love this movie! Jack Pumpkinhead rocks. Some parts are rather creepy for a kids' movie though--eg. Mombi and her freaky head collection?

Elf
Elf(2003)

Will Ferrell is SO funny, and Buddy and Jovie's romance was adorable. I love the parts when Zooey Deschanel sings--she has a gorgeous voice.

The Wiz
The Wiz(1978)

Quite different from the classic Wizard of Oz, but in a cool way. I like the Scarecrow's song.

Babes in Toyland
½

I watched this because I wanted to see Ray Bolger play a bad guy--creepy. I prefer the later (80s?) version with Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves.

Joseph: King of Dreams
½

While not quite as good as "Prince of Egypt," this was actually a very good movie. The music was pretty (I especially like "You Know Better Than I"); I wish they had made a soundtrack.

Balto II: Wolf Quest
½

I rather liked this sequel--the music was very pretty.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame II

This sequel comes up way short in comparison to the original--the music is actually kind of stupid (except the love song, that's pretty), and the story seems rushed--but I'm giving it 3 stars because Quasi gets the girl, Madellaine, and she's pretty cool.

Atlantis: Milo's Return

Even though this is another one of those sequels that's really a collection of short stories, this one ties them together much better.

Quest For Camelot
½

Cool story with fun characters and beautiful music.

White Christmas

I'm actually not too fond of the music (*gasp*), but Danny Kaye makes me giggle.

The Adventures of Milo and Otis
½

I named my own yellow tabby cat Milo :).

Cinderella II: Dreams Come True

I really don't like these so-called "sequels" Disney makes that are just a bunch of short story things.

The Rescuers
The Rescuers(2014)
½

I actually like the sequel better.

RV
RV(2006)

Better than I thought it would be, but not one of my favorites.

Napoleon Dynamite
½

Stupid-funny pointlessness at its best.

Dead Poets Society

Very interesting, if depressing movie.

A Christmas Story
½

Classic Christmas movie.

Remember the Titans
½

Powerful movie, but not a fan of sad endings.

The Prince of Egypt

Amazing movie. Gorgeous music. And it follows the biblical story pretty closely.

Curious George
½

Very cute movie--a lot better than I thought it would be.

Anastasia
Anastasia(1997)
½

Gorgeous music.

Aladdin
Aladdin(1992)

This was the first movie I ever saw in theaters.

Moulin Rouge!
½

SUCH a weird movie, but amusing, and most of the music was gorgeous. ...Could have done without the rendition of "Like a Virgin"--that scene was just creepy.

The Wizard of Oz

One of absolute favorites since I was a toddler.

Just Like Heaven

Hilarious, and very sweet. My favorite part is when Elizabeth is instructing David how to save the guy in the restaurant--SO funny!

Failure to Launch
½

Pretty funny. I especially enjoyed Zooey Deschanel and Justin Bartha.

Nanny McPhee
Nanny McPhee(2006)

Ok, but not nearly as awesome as Mary Poppins.

The Holiday
The Holiday(2006)
½

Sweet and very funny.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Awesome movie, with great music and a wonderful message.

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2(2004)

Even better than the first one!

Labyrinth
Labyrinth(1986)

One of my absolute favorite movies ever!

Ghostbusters 2
½

Pretty funny. I especially enjoyed Peter MacNicol.

Dragonslayer
Dragonslayer(1981)

I enjoyed seeing Peter MacNicol in one of his early roles.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Definitely not as good as the first two.

Kate & Leopold

One of the best romantic comedies!

The Santa Clause 2

Loved the romanitc plot, but the Psycho-Robo-Santa plot was stupid. The first one was better, and I don't even want to see the third (no Bernard? no way!)
