A Knight's Tale(2001)

It is hard for a movie to be more fun than A Knight's Tale. Heath Ledger puts on a show as William Thatcher, 14th century squire who poses as his master, a recently deceased night, and begins traveling Europe as a jouster. Accompanied by his affable companions Wat, Roland, and Geoffrey Chaucer himself (Alan Tudyk, Mark Addy, and Paul Bettany respectively) Thatcher looks to win the jousting championship and the woman of his dreams, Jocelyn (Shannyn Sossamon). But first he must out-joust Count Adehmar (Rufus Sewell), a cowardly knight who wishes Jocelyn's heart as well. Ledger and Bettany are brilliant, and you cannot help but stand up and cheer as the team advances tournament to tournament. With a modern music soundtrack filled with guitar and attitude, this is one movie that will rock you.
