I understood where this was coming from, but this love story is a bit one-sided to make it thoroughly engaging. A missed opportunity.
Solemn, dignified film making with the pulse and passion of a wax museum. Never have piety and guilt made for such lifeless storytelling.
Unflattering but no-holds-barred documentary, every bit as merciless and ballsy as its subject. (Note: if you hate her, you'll hate this movie, too.)
Well-executed, if slightly over-sensationalized dramatization of still-controversial Shakespeare. Would have been more innovative with a younger cast.
Predictable fluff about rock n' roll being the devil, and how the UK tried to stamp it out, etc. You'll feel like you've seen all this before, even if you haven't.
