A mess of a film, throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if any plot lines stick. Not enough action for an action movie, not enough horror for a horror movie, and no stakes worth caring about. Brad Pitt plays an emotionless avatar that is shuttled around the globe with little to no explanation. The zombies are absurd and were causing the audience to laugh at them by the end of the film. A voice over ending is tacked on to try and hold the piece of the film together. It was far too little too late.
Goes without saying, it's nothing like the book. But standing on its own, it is a terrible film.
