The Dardenne brothers in their movies take the audience on a real time-travel to the times of the 50s neo-realist wave in European cinema. The experience is certainly worth the watch, however sadly the conclusion one might reach is that cinema as an art moved forward too far to just cancel the last 40 years in one camera stroke. Jus as as the age of innovative classical compositions is over, so is the time of neo-realist pictures. Nonetheless, an admirable and perfectly executed experiment.
