Steven's Review of I Spit on Your Grave (Day of the Woman)
I feel odd admitting that I liked this movie, but it was an intriguing film. Was it difficult to watch, no, but at the same time I can see how people would say so. The rape scene goes on for quite a long time and is very intense. I thought "The Last House on the Left" was bad, this is a million times worse. The woman is raped many times and not much is left to the imagination. It's graphic and intense but I guess the enjoyment comes from the curiosity that lies in what's to come. What will she do and what will happen to the the men who did that to her. The revenge death scenes start out tame but get so much worse, including one of them getting this dick cut off and left in a locked bathroom to bleed to death. The men get what they deserve but that has to be the worst of the death scenes. Overall a very difficult and intense film for most to watch, but just for the controversy it's something worth watching at least once.
