a fascinating portrayal of youth. i loved the way Goddard keeps the camera on one actor for extended peroids of time during conversations in this movie. this possibly could've been my favourite goddard film if i didn't find the main character so annoying.
almost my new favourite movie
really bad, boring, conceptually stupid. the acting sucked across the board except for jude law who was outstanding. this movie is so stripped down that it allows for the audience to apply meaning to it, but i can't do that because it would be stupid and this film is unworthy of such contemplation. this is a gimmicky piece of shit and the opposite of innovative.
viewing this was an amazing experience that i am grateful to have had. one of few films that allows the documentary to be a truly dignified form. the pinnacle of what motion picture can accomplish
