What a bizarre movie. I kind of hated it and kind of loved it. It was entertaining to see Vince Vaughn so young and also understand half the quotes my friends always use.
Was this a good movie? Well that's hard to say. It had funny moments, it had slow moments, it had amazing dance sequences and some good acting. The plot wasn't anything special and the actors mostly weren't either (though Channing Tatum is undeniably lovable). If I can say one thing about Magic Mike, it's that no movie has made me smile so much, for such long periods. During the last sequence I was actually so happy I started tearing (which though kind of embarrassing is also kind of awesome). So sure, it was a good movie.
