The Expanse: Season 3 (2018)
Started slow with too much focus on Earth/Mars and the conspirator guy, but picked up once Belters got more screentime

The Expanse: Season 1 (2015)
An excellent example of worldbuilding and fantastic casting for a great story

Just an all-around amazing show.

It's like Futurama without the heart, and without anything approaching Star Trek. There's nothing interesting or smart about this series, and I was surprised by just how not funny it was.

Star Trek: Picard: Season 1 (2020)
It was a superficial space action series with hollow acting that avoided building a world or even filling out details that made earlier Star Trek franchises great. I'd give it three stars if not for the potential it had.

Falling Water: Season 2 (2018)
Season 1 was absolutely brilliant. The premiere of season 2 is a far fall, with pacing and heavy-handed romance akin to a Hallmark channel movie, bad exposition, and forced dialogue.

The Orville: Season 1 (2017)
The Orville is some of the best sci-fi on television today.

Falling Water: Season 1 (2016)
This show is amazing, from the cast to the sets to tiny details in the environment to pacing. Nearly every episode ends with me thinking it was an amazing episode

Electric Dreams: Season 1 (2017)
Engaging stories, thought provoking stories, very high production value. This is great.

The Boys: Season 1 (2019)
Every time the show starts to get interesting, it gets preachy instead, in a way that's annoyingly closed minded.

Altered Carbon: Season 1 (2018)

This show is a joke. I watched it with a bunch of people, and even the people who liked it seem to be enjoying it in the ironic way. This is not Star Trek. From the awful plots through the meaningless themes, this breaks no ground.

A very bad shadow of Star Trek. Discovery continues to focus on drama instead of sci-fi

Whiskey Cavalier: Season 1 (2019)
Show had potential, but ended up not very good. A friend described it as trying to be live action Archer, but it plays too straight to get there. Casting also seemed confused as to whether it was going to be serious or comedic.

Doctor Who: Season 11 (2018)
The new season fails at being either good scifi or good drama, with storylines too small for the first and the multitude of companions giving too little time for development of any for the second. It's as if the show thought it was enough to have a wacky person running around with friends and a sonic screwdriver. Dr. Who needs more than that to be a good show. It was a misguided attempt.
