A simple story beautifully told. Stunning Icelandic scenery, a small community, two brothers who have not spoken for 40 years (living next to each other) some herds of sheep. There are some genuinely funny scenes but this is also a tale of sadness, of economic loss, of losing your way of life. You'll love the dog !
Spot on ! He never gave up on his beliefs and never gave up on his work despite the prejudice he suffered. Much of this was pure hysteria and the film shows how the media and media personalities ring lead such dispicable behaviour and the worrying and shocking acceptance by the population to go along with it all. A MUST SEE !!
Incorporating elements of other sci-fi films notably Solyent Green, Silent Running and Contact with a little bit of 2001 thrown in (not to mention Matt Damon rehearsing his Martian role) this turned into a spectacular film that I enjoyed much more than I expected. The soundtrack is perfect and whilst I cannot comment on whether the physics are correct or not it kind made sense and was throughly enjoyable - I cried !
Incredible performance from Eddie Redmayne in this beautifully shot film with some strong performances about the groundbreaking transgender pioneer Lili Elbe. This film will transfix you from the beginning and I urge you to see it as soon as possible.
Beautifully shot, the richness of Carol against the drabness of Therese, but things change for both of them. This story is not as simple as you might thing throwing in the complexities of relationships and priorities and compromise.
