Mundane adapatation of Moravia's novel. Kahn adapts the (difficult) text, giving it a very physical (and sexual) presence, but leaves the crucial psychological aspects of the novel behind. What is left is a movie about physical possession and jeaolusy with lots of sex scenes, with some unbelievable (in a bad way) dialogues and scenes.
