A solid 2.5 out of 5. Basically, 1) The first 30 minutes is horrible. 2) Car chases consists of fancy cars passing a lot of stuff. 3) Humor is overdone and often over the top. AND 4) Certain sequences just don't make much sense...... What I DID LIKE 1) Imogen Poots won me over. 2) Imogen Poots and Aaron Paul's chemistry 3) Pacing of last 80 minutes. AND 4) Decent-fun entertainment and some very engaging moments.

The BEST Family Film Of The Year! -Well, maybe not really. But EVIL DEAD is incredibly violent, bloody and entertaining. And the story is its own story, only peppering tastes of the original EVIL DEAD flicks thru out. Depending on how you handle your horror, the flick has the ability to terrorize you and haunt you. This is the type of "scary" movies we need. With that said, I thought last years CABIN IN THE WOODS to be better.-Especially its mix of horror, humor and gore. With EVIL DEAD, you have a great bloody-flick, which tries to awkwardly be both funny and emotional, but does not succeed at neither.
